Construction of New Building for Kendriya Vidyalaya, CRPF, Talegaon, Pune. SH : Soil investigation work.

Carrying out soil investigation testing completed in all respect including : (i) Setting and Shifting of machinery at each bore hole location. (ii) Drilling exploratory bore holes in rock, extracting rock cores, serially marking them as per specification (Rock where SPT N<50) (iii) Drilling 'Nx' size exploratory bore holes in rock, extracting rock cores, serially marking them as per specification (Rock where SPT N>50) (iv) Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) at every 1.50 mtr intervals. (v) Collection of undisturbed soil sample. (vi) Collection of disturbed soil sample. (vii) Preservation and handing over of soil and rock samples on site during and after completion of job in wooden core boxes. (viii) Conducting Laboratory tests on soil samples- a) Sieve analysis b) Atterberg's limit (LL,PL) c) Sulphate and Chloride d) Free swell index. (ix) Conducting Laboratory tests on Rock Core Samples -a)Dry density b) Specific gravity c) Water absorption d) Porosity e) Saturated Crushing Strength/ Point load. (x) Submission of geotechnical report including results of all field and laboratory tests, Determination of SBC, Foundation recommendation and any other relevant geotechnical issues duly vetted by the geotechnical expert of the rank of professor or equivalent. (Total depth of bore considered = 10m).
