M & L for Felling of Tree of Girth exceeding 30 cm and not exceeding 100 cm and of any height by suitable means [Manually or Mechanically] and safety arrangements including Cutting of Trunk and Branches, pruning / trimming of Trunk and Branches, Cutting in to Standard Lengths, Stacking the cut materials / timber in lots / groups as directed by the Forest Department for accounting, Depositing the approved materials to the Forest Department at the designated location / depot located at a distance exceeding 10.00 KM and not exceeding 15.00 KM, Grubbing up tree trunk by digging out roots up to 60 cm below ground level including cutting of trunk portion protruding over ground, removal of stumps, digging out roots, filling holes and levelling off ground, disposal / removing of unusable / unserviceable materials to distance exceeding 5.00 KM and not exceeding 10.00 KM and depositing in low laying areas outside the MD Land complete all as specified and as directed. Note: All the materials retrieved from the Cutting / Felling of Trees and other vegetation removed for creating workspace shall become the property of the Forest Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and shall be deposited to Forest Department and all debris and unusable materials shall be disposed off as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and Forest Department. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on this account. The girth of the trees shall be measured at 1.00 metre above ground level. However, the trunk shall be cut as low as possible and the trunk shall not protrude more than 30cm above natural ground level. The rates quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of the provisions contained in Note – 21 to 21.23 of Schedule “A” Notes and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. The description of the item shall be read in conjunction with the provisions contained in Note – 21 to 21.23 of Schedule “A” Notes.
