Preparing RCC roof slab top by wire brushing and cleaning the dust and forign material etc complete and applying a coat of hot blown bitumen 85/25 grade @ 1.2 Kg per Sqm over coat of bitumen primer @ 0.40 Ltrs/Sqm and there after laying of a layer of APP based polymenic membrane (five layered with centre core as 100microns, high molecular high density ployethlene film) minimum weighing 3.5 Kg/Sqm and reinforced with polyster non woen fabricd (wt not less than 150 gms/Sqm laid on bituminous surface by press application method with 75 mm side ov erlap and 100mm end overlap the membrane has to be laid with LPG torch application and overlaps sealed and finished neat, after taqht applying one coat of bitumen, 85/25 grade on top surface @ @ 1.20 kg/Sqm and blinded with premier dry sand @ 0.5 kg/Sqm dusted over bitumen coat, complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- Water proofing treatment will be done by manufacturer of APP membrane or through their authorised specialized agency which will further have to give a five years warranty for rectification of any defect if incurred at a later stage, otherwise no payment shall be made to the contractor if water proofing treatment is executed by engaging local labour.
