Refurbishment of Entrance Foyer of New Engineering Hall 11 at North Site, BARC, Trombay, Mumbai-85.

Acoustic Infill - 50mm thick rock wool of 48kg/m3 density or 50mm thick 1000 GSM polyester wool insulation. As an acoustic requirement, contractor to affix of 50mm thick of acoustic infill insulation of density 48 kg/m3 or 1000 GSM of approved make wrapped in RP tissues suitably affixed to partition framework using necessary Holding Clips, GI binding wire, duct tape as indicated in the drawing, complete in all respect as directed by the Architect/ Engineer in Charge.

Providing and fixing heavy duty weather resistent cement board of 12mm thickness, in specified size including necessary fixing in position at levels as per drawing etc complete as per ASTM C-1185 and ISO-8336(part E), rate enclusive of fixing all necessary SS fastners/screws/bolt etc and as directed by Engineer in Charge.

Providing and fixing 6 mm thick marine ply in position on frame work including all materials, labour etc complete in all as per specification drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

Providing & Fixing decorative high pressure laminated sheet of plain / wood grain in gloss / matt/ suede finish with high density protective surface layer and reverse side of adhesive bonding quality conforming to IS : 2046 Type S, including cost of adhesive of approved quality. 1.5 mm thick

Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P. brass / stainless steel screws, all complete as per architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. (Glazing, paneling and dash fasteners to be paid for separately) : Anodised aluminium (anodised transparent or dyed to required shade according to IS: 1868, Minimum anodic coating of grade AC 15)

Providing, applying one coat of acrylic based textured plaster of approved make with the finish as directed with average thickness of 2.50mm and finished with 2 coats of high performance coating of approved shade including preparation preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding, complete, as per specifications and as directed by the Engineerin- charge.

Providing and fixing 3 mm thick veneer, approved make and shade fixed over suitable base like cement board in wall cladding etc. The quoted rate shall include all tools & tackles, consumables, nails & screws etc., transportation, labours , all complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and fixing in position suspended seamless false ceiling system using 12 mm thick calcium silicate boards 100% humidity resistance, incombustible as per BS476 part IV with thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m KC placed in a suspended grid of size of 600x 600mm made of hot-dipped G.I steel sections wherein the ceiling sections of 0.55 mm thick shall be suspended at 1200 mm centres along the length of ceiling with 4mm dia G.I wires/ 1 mm thick strip hangers made of G.I sheet sections with necessary level adjusters and inter channels of 0.90mm thick with connecting clips and resting on the perifery walls on wall angles of 0.55 mm thickness including providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, trap doors etc to be made as per layout drawings and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge The main tees to be suspended from the ceiling/ soffit with the help of metal dash fastners of 6mmx50mm, soffit clits of 25mmx35mmx1.60mm and 4mm dia G.I wire with galvanised spring steel levelling clips/ G.I strip Hangers at 600mm centers .The entire grid system shall be designed to bear a distributed load of minimum 25 kg/Sq.m, complete as per drawing, specification and Engineer in Charge instructions. (Only calcium silicate false ceiling area will be measured for the purpose of payment)

Providing and fixing 18 mm thick Fire Retardant Plywood as per the latest revision of IS:5509 of approved make or approved equivalent meeting all the technical parameters as per relevant codes and standards on door frame/partition frame/wall for making furniture/ Door shutter etc., including all necessary hardware, adhesives, screws, nails, and incidental materials, complete as per architect’s instructions, approved detail drawings, and as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge. Measurement & Payment: The work shall be measured in square meters (sqm) of the actual area covered with fire-rated plywood. No extra payment shall be made for cutting, wastage, laps, overlaps, hardware, or incidental works, which shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
