Provisions are to be made to filter the sediments, water in the fuel at rear side and provision of vent at top to release the air pressure in the tank. The tank should be painted with noncorrosive and non-flammable paint. The fuel tank should be filled with a minimum level of fuel for test running for minimum 12 hours on full load.
