ATTENDING REPAIR WORKS OF WOODEN CRAFT ML MUTHUKUNHI BELONGS TO PORT DEPARTMENT KAVARATTI

Timber repair work including dismantling and removing the defective portion of Tug/ Boat above and below water level of boat sides, deck, hull fender, wheel house, engine room including top area, crew cabin, partition wall, providing additional cross beams repairing / removing hull holding beams, rib beams, auxiliary beams, hull main beams, ribs etc, wherever found necessary as per standard marine practice & IS specifications and as per the direction of the Engineer In Charge where ever found necessary including cost of all labour charges, minor tools ,cost of all materials,including timber seasoned for marine works etc., complete.

Removing the old putty, caulking etc, cleaning all the timber joints, above water level, hull, deck, wheel house engine room top etc, as per requirement and where ever found necessary,doing fresh caulking, applying marine glue, all works as per standard practice wherever found necessary and as directed by the Engineer In Charge including cost of all labour charges, minor tools & plants sundries, but including cost of all materials required for the work , all labour charges minor tools etc., complete.

Preparing the hull portion planks for applying fiber compound and applying of fiber compound on the entire hull portion, engine room top, wheel house sides/ top and wherever found necessary and as instructed by EIC, including cost of all labour charges, cost of minor tools and all materials required for the work, like fiber compound, fiber oil etc, complete.

Fixing of Standard Quuality Marine plywood,12 mm thick for board work for covering of wheel house canopy of the craft, covering, shelf and cupboard etc wherever required as directed by EIC, including cost of all labour charges, minor tools etc, and including cost of marine plywood, brass screw etc., complete.

Dismantling 'V'bracket & cutless bushes, wooden bushes, stern tube, propeller shaft, stuffing box etc. replacing the cutless bushes, wooden bushes, checking the alignment of propeller shaft, propeller, repairing/ replacing the shaft and propeller if required for coupling with new engine gear box, manufacturing the couplings, stern tube etc, refixing all the accosseries/new accessories with ssbolt/copper bolt, all in line and alignment, coupling the propeller shaft and intermediate shaft with gear box, checking the alignment,etc. including cost of all labour charges, lathe charges, cost of tools & plants, transportation charges of all materials to work site, cost of cutless bush, wooden bush, bolt & nut , propeller, propeller shaft, Intermediate shaft and couplings etc, complete.

Fabrication steering sector for rudder with 10mm thick M.S Plate, fixing stainless steel rudder shaft, Timber rudder, cast iron pullies,wooden steering wheel and reduction gear assy. Rudder shaft tube, stuffing box, coupling flanges, making timber rudder by providing rudder fork which made out of manganeese bronze, assembling and testing, etc as per instruction of EIC etc, including cost of all labour charges, cost of all materials, such as rudder, pullies, shaft, tube, stuffing box, steering wheel, rudder fork, flanges, coupling and all other materials required for the work etc. complete.

Finishing timber surface by applying sand paper/carborandum wheel 60/120/200/320 etc. cleaning and applying two coats of superior quality timber marine paint over primer coat and painting as per the direction of EIC, including cost of all labour charges and cost of paint, and all other materials required etc. complete.

Fixing suitable tyre fenders fastening with stainless steel hook 5 Nos each side of boats and 2 Nos brass bollads 1 No each side of front deck including cost of brass bollards, ss bolts, coach screw and nuts, ss hook etc, including cost of all labour charges, cost of materials etc complete.
