EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY
Excavating in trenches in soft / loose soil, not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth for foundation for pipes, walls, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, cables etc not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out complete all as specified and directed.
Returning, filling in soft / loose soil, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and lay in replacement of Centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes with spigot & socket end, 150 mm dia class K-9 conforming to IS: 8329/2000 complete with (push-on) rubber gasket jointing and centrifugally applied inside cement mortar lining with portland slag cement as per IS: 455:1989 and external metallic zinc coating as per annex A of IS 8329 with finishing layer of Bitumen coating as per Annex C of IS: 8329. The standard lengths of the pipes are 5.50 meter (subject to tolerance as per clause 15.5.1 of IS: 8329:2000). Pursuant to clause 15.5.1 of IS8329, 10% of pipes in each size, may be supplied in shorter lengths, complete all as specified.

Note :- DI Specials/fittings will be measured separately under relevant items of BOQ.

Material and labour for Drilling 21” dia bore with direct rotary drilling method in any kind of soil/strata from ground level upto 25 metre depth in any strata including disposal of soil within 100 metre, complete all as specified. (a) The Rates also includes for transportation of Rig Machinary and connected T&P at Site. (b) Trail Bore will be drilled for suitable depth, if sufficient wet strata is available then ERW casing will be lowered. Incase required Strata is not available payment shall not be made for drilling of trail bore. (c) Water for the new bore hole shall not be provided by the department. Contractor shall make his own arrangement for the same.

Material and labour for mild steel reducing socket for connecting 350mm bore housing pipe with 250mm bore blind pipe with minimum 8 mm wall thickness including welding and fixing support complete all as specified and directed.
Supply & fixing mild steel bail plug suitable for 250mm bore pipe 1.5 metre long having wall thickness of 8 mm with strong iron hooks, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 10mm thick structural steel Fe 290 (Grade E165) mild steel black plate of size 600mm dia & cut into two semicircular equal parts with 350 mm dia hole in the center complete all as specified & directed.
Material and labour for pea gravel of size 1.5mm to 4.5mm packed all around 350mm bore housing pipe and 250mm bore blind pipe, strainer pipe upto entire depth as required at site in new bore-well, complete all as specified. Note:- For the purpose of measurment,gravel brought by the contractor shall be stacked properly at site & measurments of stack shall be carried out before use and after use(left unused) to arrive at the net qty of gravel used by the contractor in the work and payment against this item shall only be made for the qty of gravel used in the work not for the total qty of gravel brought.
Material and labour for testing and developing the bore well by means of air compressor 5000 PSI till sand free clear water discharge is obtained to achieve maximum yield of suitable capacity for first 20 hours running complete all as specified. (All equipments shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost).
