EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY

Excavating in trenches in soft / loose soil, not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth for foundation for pipes, walls, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, cables etc not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in soft / loose soil, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of excavated spoil to a distance not exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up HDPE/ PVC watermains 150mm dia including all fittings of complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up cast iron watermains 150mm dia including all fittings with spigot and socket ends and lead joints including burning out joints and recovering lead complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up HDPE/ PVC watermains 100mm dia including all fittings complete all as specified and directed.

Taking up Old unserviceable gate valves of 20 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and lay in replacement of Centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes with spigot & socket end, 150 mm dia class K-9 conforming to IS: 8329/2000 complete with (push-on) rubber gasket jointing and centrifugally applied inside cement mortar lining with portland slag cement as per IS: 455:1989 and external metallic zinc coating as per annex A of IS 8329 with finishing layer of Bitumen coating as per Annex C of IS: 8329. The standard lengths of the pipes are 5.50 meter (subject to tolerance as per clause 15.5.1 of IS: 8329:2000). Pursuant to clause 15.5.1 of IS8329, 10% of pipes in each size, may be supplied in shorter lengths, complete all as specified.

Material and labour in replacement of Galvanised iron steel tubing 40mm bore, ISI marked, medium grade, with all fittings (ISI marked) duly laid in trenches complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in replacement of Galvanised iron steel tubing 25mm bore, ISI marked, medium grade, with all fittings (ISI marked) duly laid in trenches/ fixed on wall / surface complete all as specified and directed.

M & L in replacement of Galvanised iron steel tubing 20mm bore, ISI marked, medium grade, with all fittings (ISI marked) duly laid in trenches/fixing on wall/ surface complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of Sluice Valve, conforming to IS 13095, 150 mm bore flanged with high tensile brass spindle of class 1.6 PN supplied and installed including required nuts/bolts/washers and DI specials/fittings as required complete, taking down old unserviceable valve any type all as specified and directed. Note :- DI Specials/fittings will be measured separately under relevant items of BOQ.

All as per description of Srl item No 2.25 above but 100 mm bore complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for cutting existing road straight manually, depth and width not less than 45cm for pipes upto 150 mm bore & filling back with excavated soil upto 75% road portion & 25% shall be made with cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate complete all as specified and directed

Cutting CI/DI pipes and reducing to required length before laying for branch connections from 80m to 150 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 125 x 125 x 125 cm (internal dimension) including earth work and excavation in any type of soil and disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr away from site including plastering internally in CM (1:4) and flush pointing on brick work externally as the work proceeds in the same mortar with angle iron frame 40x40x6 mm, hold fast, MS sheet cover 3.15 mm thick, handle hinged to frame and locking arrangement including two coats of black synthetic enamel paint duly painted over a coat of red oxide including dismantling existing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for precast PCC route marker for water mains made out of PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20 mm graded stone size of route marker 60 cm X 30 cm x15 cm fixed in foundation of size 60 cm x 30 cm x30 cm and engraves the words "WARNING MES WATER PIPE"and also route of pipe line laid including painting etc complete all as directed by Engineer-in Charge.

Material and labour for MS clamp of suitable size with nut, bolts & washers complete for hanging of submersible pump set with column pipes in bore well any size/cap and MS Cap of suitable size as casing cover of bore well complete all as directed by Engineer-in Charge.

Material and labour for Drilling 21” dia bore with direct rotary drilling method in any kind of soil/strata from ground level upto 25 metre depth in any strata including disposal of soil within 100 metre, complete all as specified. (a) The Rates also includes for transportation of Rig Machinary and connected T&P at Site. (b) Trail Bore will be drilled for suitable depth, if sufficient wet strata is available then ERW casing will be lowered. Incase required Strata is not available payment shall not be made for drilling of trail bore. (c) Water for the new bore hole shall not be provided by the department. Contractor shall make his own arrangement for the same.

Supply and fixing for 350mm bore ERW mild steel housing pipe 8mm wall thickness duly painted with primer and anti corrosive paint with screwed and socket ends in standard length of 3 metre or as required at site,complete with coupling, welding at joints as required. ISI marked : IS-4270-1992) including cutting, lowering, jointing and fixing in position, complete all as specified and directed. (Measured net as fixed).

All as per Srl item No 2.48 hereinbefore but 250mm bore pipe with 8 mm wall thickness.

Supply and fixing for low carbon galvanised iron screen filter(slotted) 250mm bore pipe with slots 0.2 mm to 1.5 mm, 6.4mm wall thickness duly painted with ferrous primer and anti corrosive bituminous paint including screwed and socket ends in standard length, welding and fixing support having slots 0.2 mm to 1.5 mm depending upon nature of aquifers sediments, complete including lowering and fixing in position, confirming to IS-4270-1992, complete all as specified and directed. (Measured net as fixed).

Material and labour for mild steel reducing socket for connecting 350mm bore housing pipe with 250mm bore blind pipe with minimum 8 mm wall thickness including welding and fixing support complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing mild steel bail plug suitable for 250mm bore pipe 1.5 metre long having wall thickness of 8 mm with strong iron hooks, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & fixing for well cap fabricated out of 6 mm thick mild steel sheet for 350mm bore housing pipe threaded similar to housing pipe with handle made and of 20mm dia mild steel round bar, complete all as specified.

Material and labour for mild steel flat iron 75mmx6mm as center guider (set of three), standard pattern for 350/250 mm bore housing pipe complete all as specified.

Material and labour for mild steel clamps made out of flat iron 125mmx12mm and 01 metre long with nut, bolts of 22mm dia of suitable length for 350mm bore housing pipe complete all as specified.

Material and labour for mild steel structural steel E-250 grade 410W (ISMB-150) fixed independently without connecting plate including two coats of black paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for strata sample box, made out of Ist class soft wood (deodar) having appropriate internal dimensions 1000mm×600mm×100mm with open-able glass shutter using 4mm thick plain sheet glass having pigeon holes as approved, 2 Nos butt hinges of suitable size and 75mm long hasp staple 01 No having not less than 25 compartments capable of holding 480 to 540 grams of strata sample, including painting wooden surfaces with two coats of synthetic enamel paint (grey) over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 10mm thick structural steel Fe 290 (Grade E165) mild steel black plate of size 600mm dia & cut into two semicircular equal parts with 350 mm dia hole in the center complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for pea gravel of size 1.5mm to 4.5mm packed all around 350mm bore housing pipe and 250mm bore blind pipe, strainer pipe upto entire depth as required at site in new bore-well, complete all as specified. Note:- For the purpose of measurment,gravel brought by the contractor shall be stacked properly at site & measurments of stack shall be carried out before use and after use(left unused) to arrive at the net qty of gravel used by the contractor in the work and payment against this item shall only be made for the qty of gravel used in the work not for the total qty of gravel brought.

Material and labour for testing and developing the bore well by means of air compressor 5000 PSI till sand free clear water discharge is obtained to achieve maximum yield of suitable capacity for first 20 hours running complete all as specified. (All equipments shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost).

All as per item 2.60 but beyond 24hrs, complete all as specified.

Material and labour for yield testing of the tube well by means of engine driven pumping set of suitable capacity, the discharge shall be measured by providing orifice system or ‘V’ notch fixed to steel tank of adequate capacity, complete all as specified & directed. (All equipments shall be arranged by contractor at his cost).

Material and labour for testing potability of water by chemical analysis such as PH Value, dissolved solids, hardness as CaCo3 and Calcium, Magnesium, Chlorides, sulphate, nitrate, alkality, Iron Turbidity NTU, mineral oil, colour hazen units, taste, odour, residual free chlorine, total Coliform per 100mm (microbiological test) and E Coli as per 100ml (microbiological test) as well as bacteriological portability from any govt lab complete all as specified.

Supply, Installation, testing and Commissioning of Submersible pumping set 30 HP capacity, electric driven 415 V, TP suitable for 100/150 mm dia bore well ( Casing pipe size 200/250 mm) four stage discharge 1300 LPM at 60 Mtr head complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix MS Pipe ERW Steel including specials, nominal dia 150 mm as per IS 3589 (1981) , medium class, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix Cast Iron Air Release Valves having double orifice with rubber ball, conforming to IS 14845 of size 150 mm dia bore and fixing up in CI/DI mains at a length of 6M from the ground level complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing flat three core 16 Sqmm PVC Insulated & PVC sheathed Industrial Cable for Submersible Pump Motors1100 Volt, conforming to IS 694 complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying and testing LT cable XLPE Insulated ,armoured, heavy duty electric cable with aluminium conductor 1100 Volts grade cross sectional area 95 sq mm 3.5 core complete all as specified and directed. Note:: Excavation, earth work, sand cushioning and cable protection covers shall be measured and paid for separately.

Material and labour for sand cushioning with fine dry river sand for cable protection laid in trenches 8 cm before laying of cable and 15 cm after laying and stretching the cable complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Punned down thickness as laid down in SSR Part I shall be measured and paid.

Material and labour brick protection layer for cables laid in trenches using sub-class ‘B’ bricks of size 23x11.5x7.5cm laid dry width wise acrose the line of cable (perpendicular to the direction of cable) complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for galvanised iron pipe light grade (ISI marked) 100 mm bore for passing of cables etc. laid in trenches, under floors, roads or fixed to walls including all fittings as required and MS clamps nuts & bolts etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Earthing complete with galvanized steel plate elecrode of size 60 cm x 60cm x 6.0 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.5 mtr below the ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 mtr below ground level. Earth plate surrounded by 15mm thick packed alternative layers of charcoal dust and comman salt, earth lead GI strip 25 x 4 mm by means of bolts , nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron with thimbles. The other end of GI earth wire is connected to main switch board and protected by light grade GI pipe of 15 mm bore. provision of 20mm bore light grade GI pipe for watering including GI funnel and wire mesh. Pipe shall be provided vertically upto top level of earth pit and then taken horrizontally to the earth pit. Cement concrete chamber of PCC ( 1:3:6 ) type C-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate.The chamber shall be constructed one metre away from edge of earth pit. 50 mm thick pre cast cover of cement conrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, excavation in soft / loose soil, returning filling and removal of surplus soil to a distance of 50 mm as directed and shown in Electrical Plate No- 3 of SSR Part-1 (2009)
