Repair of Runway/taxi Track/dispersal and Runway Rehabilitation scheme (RRS) at AF Stn Bihta under GE (AF) Bihta

Material and labour for obtaining approved earth (Stabilised soil) out side of MoD land from a distance exc 1.5 km but in exc 5 km and removing the earth to site inside the AF complex and deposited for embankment/filling of craters complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i) Digging of earth pit for obtaining earth shall be included in quoted unit rate). (ii) Royality if any shall deemed to be included in quoted rate nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

Forming embankment including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers in n exc. 30cm thick watering and ramming/rolling under optimum moisture conditions to the specified percentage of standard proctor density not less than 98% and finishing to required size, shapes, grade or camber n. exc. 1.5 mtr high from the base complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) To arrive finished quantity for payment purpose, 5% deduction for bulkage shall be made.

All as per item No 02 herein - before but height exc 1.5m but not exceeding 3.00m.

Material and labour for soiling (or granular sub-base) 200mm thick (compacted thickness) in single layer using crushed/broken stone boulders or quarried stones grading-I, interstices filled surface formed, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 200mm thick (compacted thickness ) WMM laid in single layer, grading as per MORTH, using crushed stone coarse aggregate, spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified & as directed. Note:- WMM to be laid in single layer using tandem vibratory roller.

Material and labour for preparing WMM surface by brushing with brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a prime/tack coat of bituminous primer @ 10 kg per 10 sqm, using paving bitumen over wet mix macadam (WMM) surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 150 mm thick (consolidated thickness) dense asphaltic concrete (DAC) to be laid in three layers (50mm each ) rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with binder content as per job mix formula for minimum stablilty 1200Kg (Subject to minimum 6 % by weight of total mix) and coarse aggreagte (Grading-II) including 43 grade cement as filler using PMB (Polymer modified bitumen) (IS : 15462-2004) with 75% elastic recovery conforming to IRC-53-2010 complete all as specified and as directed.

Hiring of 02 Nos Tractor with 02 Nos trolly including POL and 02 Nos Driver including labour for loading/ unloading of earth material where directed for per day complete all as directed.

Hiring of 01 No JCB for earthwork including POL & 01 No Operator and operated. Where and when directed for per day complete all as directed.

Hiring of 01 No Road Roller(Vibratory/Tandem) including POL & 01 No Driver/Operator for rolling & consolidation where directed for per day complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Notes for Srl no 08.00 to 10.00 :- (i) The serial item No 08.00 to 10.00 shall be operated as and when order by Engineer-in-Charge and when required by station authorizes (ii) A log book shall be maintained by JE (Civ) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge, contractor & user daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actural mode of payment. (iii) Tractor deployed shall not be more than 5 years old from the date of manufacturing. Contractor shall to provide the registration documents to Engineer-in-Charge on this account. (iv) Actual working hourse shall be calculated based on actual running of machinary as directed by Garrison Engineer and excluding of transit hours. (v) Running of machinery for 08 Hrs shall be considered one unit/ per day
