REPAIR OF ROADS, ROAD BERMS, ROAD FURNITURE AND SIGN BOARDS IN ZONE B AND C AREA AT BB CANTT, SRINAGAR IN THE AOR OF AGE B/R-II AND AGE B/R-III UNDER GE 864 EWS

M&L repairs to pot holes any depth n.exc 1 square metre each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth and making good by applying tack coat using paving bitumen @ 5Kg/10Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8Kg/10 Sqm blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chipping, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of pot holes excluding 30 mm, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and directed.

M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (Viscosity Grade - 10) VG-10 @ 5 kg/10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L bituminous premixed asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness using crushed graded stone aggregate mixed with binder content of paving bitumen VG-30 with 5.5% binder contents by weight of total mix by using automatic self propelled mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 Tonne capacity power roller including preparation of bitumen carpet in digital computerized weigh batch hot mix plant, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L premix bituminous macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) etc 4% binder content of paving bitumen VG-30 by weight of total mix rolled and compacted mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and premixed material laid with mechanical paver finished including rolling to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tone power roller to required compaction complete all as specified and directed. Notes for ser item No 4 & 5: (i) Preparation of mix in hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable. (ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specified and directed. (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadam & nο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessitated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately. (iv) The Design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before execution of the work. (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item.

S&F in repair factory made retro reflective road sign board comprising of 2 nos 2 mm thick aluminium sheet plates of size 1200 x 800 mm fixed back to back in 40 mm bore stainless steel pipe frame with aluminium/stainless steel rivets and flats of suitable size. Both the plates to be provided with computerised cut directional arrows, alphabets, lines & symbols etc. with white colour reflective tape with font size and thickness as directed over Dennison HIP base green reflective background sheets. Top height of boards with legs from ground level minimum 2.5 M including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 blocks of size 45x45x60 cm including excavation, taking out old boards (any type and size) all as per sample kept in GE office and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge.

S&F in repair solar road stud having 3 LEDs of colours red and yellow to a side (total 6 Nos) housed in a tough pressure die casted aluminium alloy of any size (125x125mm) of height 20 mm with built in stem-nail 30 mmx 50 mm long for fixing with epoxy. LEDs, solar - cells, battery & light sensor well protected in side under tough unbreakable polycarbonate transparent sheet roof system workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full charge in 8-10 hours complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair solar road delineator 6 LEDs of colour red/ yellow housed in aluminium/plastic body LEDs, solar-cells, battery and light sensor well protected inside polycarbonate sheet; device protected with powder coated wire mesh cage system mounted over 47 mm dia steel tube powder coated of length 600 mm having sheet foot for firm grip to ground system workable for 2-3 days (nights) after full charge for 8-10 hours, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair dual directional cat eye of aluminium casted stud 100mmx100mm having plastic ABS reflective strip containing 43x2=86 mini retro-reflective glass beads of colour white/red/yellow a side provided with steel zinc plated nail of dia 12mm of length 120mm for fixing to road by hammering, complete all as specified and directed.
