Re construction of 3 Nos Minor Bridge on ON KARNAL KAITHAL ROAD SH 08 NISSING TO GONDER SEORI GULARPUR TO KARNAL ASSANDH ROAD NH 709A ROAD ID 7271 IN KARNAL DISTRICT

Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling with approved material as per clause 304 of MORT&H specifications including removing slush.

Construction of embankment, sub grade and shoulders of approaches of bridge with soil of minimum CBR (4 days soaked) of 8% obtained from borrow pit with all lead and lift transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305. The finished road surface will be as per X-section and L-section given in the Detail estimate with respect to GTS. At no place top of sub grade of raised road will be less than 0.90 m above adjoining NSL. NSL for a block of 100m will be worked as mean of 6 levels taken on 20 m center to center length of road. These six levels are at three location on both side one at edge ROW. Other at 5 m and 10 m away from ROW. In case the quantity of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 8287.45cum. Then actual quantity (less than 8287.45cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 8287.45 cum, then only 8287.45cum will be paid. Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Further it shall be ensured that atleast 500 mm of sub grade with earth of CBR 8%. shall be constructed at each location. Wherever any cutting of existing subgrade is required on this account excavation as well as handling and disposal of earthwork to accommodate minimum 500mm thick subgrade of minimum 8% CBR. shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. Before start of work, L-section shall be got approved from the employer with respect to GTS. Note: If soil of CBR 8% is not available then the agency will do appropriate stabilization as per IRC –SP-89-2010 as approved by SE-in-Charge and nothing extra shall be paid on this account and it will be incidental to work. No earth work will be allowed from PWD land.

Demolishing brick work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (In cement mortar ) (HSR 5.7.4)

Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. Nominal concrete 1: 1.5:3 or richer mix (i/c equivalent cum design mix) (HSR 5.23.1)

Providing, laying WBM (G-I) 63 mm to 45 mm with screening of Type ‘A’ in layer of 75mm each, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with 3 wheeled steel/ vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density complete as per technical clause 404 of MORT&H specifications Note: - 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by the engineer

Providing, laying WBM (G-II) 53 mm to 22.4 mm with screening of Type ‘B’ in layer of 75mm each, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with 3 wheeled steel/ vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density complete as per technical clause 404 of MORT&H specifications Note: - 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. Providing & laying Wet Mix Macadam Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density as per technical clause 406 of MORT&H specifications (Based on HSR 17.24) Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth/ natural occurring sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by the engineer.

Providing & Laying 50 mm thick compacted Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam (DBM) in one layer with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with appropriate rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause No. 505 MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th edition) 2013 using minimum 4.50% to bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respect including cost of bitumen instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification (5th edition) 2013 in mandatory. If bitumen required more than 4.50% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work.(NS) Note: - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti – stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. Note: - Where there is DBM on existing black top , cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental towork.

Providing and laying 30/40mm thick bituminous concrete (BC) with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG -30 @ 5.4% per cent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor controlto the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 507 of per MORTH specifications Note: - I If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. II - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti – stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS-1 on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per technical clause 503 of MORT&H specifications.

Providing and applying tack coat with penetration grade bitumen VG - 10 using bitumen pressure distributor at the rate of 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous / granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom as per technical clause 503 of MORT&H specifications (HSR 17.26.2)

Providing and laying 25 mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving grade bitumen 85/25 or VG - 30/40 @ 10.2%, fine aggregates, course aggregates, lime filler @ 17.92% of total, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-grained hard stone chipping at an approximate spacing of 10 cm centre to centre in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces is not less than 1DDC, protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 516 of MORT&H specifications (5th Revision, 2013) (HSR 17.37)

Removing hume pipes-NP 2/NP 3/NP 4 including excavation and taking out the pipes manually/ by mechanical means and stacking the pipes within standard lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (HSR 5.53.2)

i) Brick Bats @ 450 per Cum Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling / scarifying of existing bituminous crust have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled / scarified material can be issued for use in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) on approval from the employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. The material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency. However, the reserve price is as under :-

iii) 1000 mm dia Pipe @ 3150/- Mtr.Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR. the unit and nomenclature given in HSR Shall be applicable. ii) In case of any difference in the unit of any Non- schedule items depicted in this DNIT and the Conventional unit of that N.S Item as per practice in this department the conventional unit as per practice shall be applicable.
