Fabricating of vertical post ( to shape as per drawing including stem , base plate , spherical ball and hook etc including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature wherever required )at workshop etc and transporting to site of work in " ready to Use " condition and fitted to existing granite stone base/subbase complete as directed by PD. Each post shall be secured to stone base using 04 nos SS fateners of size as approved. The quoted rate inclusive of drilling holes @ 04 nos per post. The quoted rate shall not include cost of stainless steel in any postion but however stainless steel shall be measured and paid at SUPPLY ONLY RATES under item no 2 and 3 below. The grade of stainless steel shall be of 304 and 316 as ordered.The cost of weighing at site or any place shall be borne by contractor .For payment purpose weigt of post complete shall be measured only

Material and Labour stainless steel (Grade 316) steel chain made of hollow tubes, channels,sheets ,bar , plates or as reqd etc., including welding, grinding, buffing, polishing and making curvature (wherever required) and hanging/passing over the same on hooks provided on posts under item no 1 above. Note - For payment purpose stainless steel used shall be actual weighed . The cost of weighing at site or any place shall be borne by contractor

NOTES- 1. The Each post under item no 1 shall have 02 hooks per post for hanging and passing over. The dia and length shall be as approved to take hold weight of chain. 2. The each post shall be secured with granite etc stone base with 04 nos SS fastners of size as approved. The cost of drilling holes in stone and post base plate is inclusive in unit rate quoted in item no 1 . The fastners shall also be weighed along with weight of post under item No 1. The holes shall be drilled using electric drilling machine and electricity connection shall be given free of cost by deptt.The cable etc shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost. Also removal of debris included. No electical work except drilling shall be admissable on site 3. The shape and design of chain and posts shall be asper drawings enclosed with few changes in posts. 4. The entire work shall be fabricated out of Stainless steel grade 316/304 produced by leading manufactureres in country and fabricated at authorised workshops. The welding work shall be using Kitch/Jindal materials. 5. The stainless steel shall be subjected to acceptance only after testing at any Govt approved lab. The random 02 samples from each lot brought at site for both items of BOQ shall be got tested from such labs by contractor at his own cost. Besides testing at lab , it shall be obligatory on contractor that a certificate shall be obtained from fabricator for whole qty that steel used is of grade 316/304. 6. After acceptance of work order no 1 the contractor shall produce sample of 01 post complete with stem . ball and hooks and 06 ft chain to PD for approval. The sample shall be on basis of a drawing agreed by contractor and PD both mutually. Also an existing work of similar nature near NWM shall serve as a guide and tenderers are reqd to visit the nearby existng work.
