Material and labour for Maintenance of earthing including measurement of Earth resistance and earth to neutral voltage of earthing any type (Chemical/Conventional & Grid earthing) pertaining to various locations with proper calibration earth tester and recording the reading in a register and take appropriate action such as pouring of salt mixed water in earth pit, replacement of blocked rusted funnel, tightening the earth strip through nut, bolts and washers, replacing old rusted worn out nuts and bolts with new complete all as specified and directed.

Note : (i) The Contractor or his rep will attend the office of AGE E/M (AF) TKD daily for collection of complaint slip at 0900 hrs. (ii) The Contractor must provide manpower (one skilled and one unskilled) to carry out earth pit resistance check of each section of entire area every month and will enter the value of each earth pit and obtain signature of user rep as well as JE E/M (iii) Total one earthing check will be counted as one job (iv) The earth resistance checking equipment including all necessary T&P items shall be provided by the contractor and the cost of the same to be included in the quoted rate. (iv) The cost of material such as funnel, common salt, charcoal dust, magnesium sulphate (MgSO4) etc will be paid under relevant item of this schedule as supply only however the cost of nut bolts shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

M&L for cleaning all unwanted vegetation from surrounding of earth pit, within the radius of 1 Mtr apart, cleaning inner side and out side of earthing pit complete all as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement Precast (Factory Manufactured) Earthing pit of size 450 mm x 450 mm x 450 mm x 50 mm thickness with Mortar design precast Pit cover, made with RCC (1:3:6), type C-1 chamber, pit cover of precast RCC (1:2:4), type B-1 reinforced XPM of weight not less than 4 Kg/Sqm and plaster work inner or outer etc including taking down old pit cover, excavation complete all as specified. Make - OM Precast/ Dagar Tiles/ AC Construction/ Venus/ Any other Precast RCC manufacturer

Supply only common salt for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Charcoal dust for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Magnesium Sulphate (MgSo4) for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix earthing indicator made out of Aluminium sheet of size 30 cm x 25 cm, 3mm thickness with support of flat iron frame of size 25 x 4 mm including necessary Earth work, PCC work over and including ine coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as directed.

M&L in repair of old existing PCC earthing pit making connection of earth strip including minor adjustment, construction of rectangular/square any size brick boundary along with necessary plastering work with specified colour coding around poly plastic earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for one coat painting of old existing earthing pit in existing colour complete all as specified and directed by Engr in charge

M&L in replacement for GI brazing (welding) at site to connect loop GI earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt , washer , checknuts all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note : GI brazing should be done any height. Cost of necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted

M&L in replacement for copper brazing (welding) at site to connect loop copper earthing strip of any size after tighten by nut, bolt, washer, checknuts of brass, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note : Copper brazing should be done any height. rate of necessary tool/plant and ladder required for working upto 20 mtr height shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning in replacement of Ring Earth Pit which includes the Installation of following : (a) Digging /Auguring /Boring of Five Single Earth Pits of minimum 125 mm dia to the depth of approx. 2.8 meter. (b) Insertion of 17.2 mm x 3000mm Earth Electrode of low carbon steel with molecularly bonding of electrolytic grade copper coating (purity 99.9%) having min. 250 microns thickness shall comply with Specification IEE 80- 2013 & IS 3043-2018 and penetrating it at least 0.2 meter by pushing gently with sledge hammer where the natural soil is assumed for all five pits. (c) Filling of Earth pit with Earth Enhancement Compound (ITPC-EECP15) in slurry form and backfilling. (d) Job of Exothermic Welding Material for bonding the earth system shall be as per RDSO specs, which includes graphite moulds, clamps weld metal powders. (e) Carrying out exothermic weld connection job on the single earth electrode to a copper tape of 150 x 25 x 6 mm.

(f) Carrying out exothermic weld connection job on the copper tape of 150 x 25 x 6 mm of on master Earth Electrode for connecting two 35 Sqmm cables for redundancy. (g) MEEB of size 300 x 25 x 6 mm is to be fixed inside the equipment room with two insulation studs. (h) 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimension) Precast (factory manufactured) RCC earth pit chamber in PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in (Mortar design) 80 mm thick (yellow painted) with steel reinforcement bar of 8mm dia @ 150mm centre to centre both ways, MS handle 10mm dia made to shape etc including Mild steel Earth marker with earthing result ,date all as per per AIR HQ Policy No Air HQ/37529/9/1/ERA/W(P&C) dated 21 Nov 16 (j) Except the master earth pit all the remaining earth pits are to be buried in the ground. (k)Digging of trench to min depth of 0.5 m and laying 20 x 3 mm bare copper tape connecting all the five Earth Pits. (l) Routing and laying 20 x 3mm copper tape connecting all the five Earth Pits. (m) Carrying out exothermic weld connections job on all the five Earth Electrodes to Copper tape of size 20 x 3 mm for interconnection of earth pits. (n) It shall be ensured that the distance between any two earth electrodes shall be minimum 3 m and max. Upto twice the length of the Earth Electrode to avoid mutual resistance effects. Supply and fixing of copper strip size 20 x 3 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on insulator or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Porcelain/suitable insulators with nut, bolts, screws for fixing strip at the span of one meter and for fixing the strip on high rise bldgs not more than 20 Mtrs to be included in the quoted rate, copper earth strip will be connected by brazing only to another any portion of copper strip .

S&F in replacement of Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 03 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal bronze head screw complete all as directed.

S&F in replacement of Aluminium strip of size 25 x 3 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead to wall on insulator or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required complete all as directed. Note :- Porcelain/suitable insulators with nut, bolts, screws for fixing strip at the span of one meter and for fixing the strip on high rise bldgs not more than 20 Mtrs to be included in the quoted rate, Aluminium strip should be connected with another portion of strip at the time of fixing by aluminium riveting only.
