SPL REPAIRS TO WATER PIPE LINE IN MADAMBAKKAM AREA PHASE I AT AFS TAMBARAM

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and getting out in hard/ dense soil for taking out / laying of any type of pipes complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning filling in levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 meter above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L for taking up or down from trenches for old CI/GI/ PVC Pipe including fittings and branch connections if any for removal to stores for further disposal of following dia complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and laying in trenches Ductile Iron spigot and socket pipes as per IS:8329/2000 Class K7 including EPDM rubber gasket suitable for push on rubber gasket joint with inside cement mortar lining and outside Zinc bitumen coating of size 100mm dia to connect main pipe lines complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : Necessary earthwork, excavation shall be measured and paid separately.

Supply and lay the following dia of GI pipe medium grade including fittings such as bends, reducer, elbows, union etc in trenches complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : Necessary earthwork, excavation shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L cast iron/DI fittings for upto 150mm bore ISI marked such as bends (any type, radius any angle) tapers any type (straight or bend), increasing, decreasing or double socket etc) Tee pieces single branch, double branch, cross(all sockets and socket and spigot) collars, caps and plugs tail piece confirming to IS 1538/1993 complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M & L run lead joint including all necessary jointing materials like lead spun yarn etc (old recovered lead from leaking joints shall not be re used) for the CI pipe complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following size :-

Supply and fix in repairs Pillar taps, fancy type cast copper alloy, with capstan heads, chromium plated, screwed down high pressure, with or without lettered 'Hot' or 'Cold' with long screwed shanks and fly-nuts, screwed for iron pipe and fixed complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement of CI sluice valve for the following size confirming to IS -14846 PN-1.0 non raising type both ends flanged with SS spindle including jointing materials such as nuts, bolts washers and 3mm rubber gasket 02 Nos complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Cutting of existing road/ floor/ plinth/drain of any description of width and depth not exceeding 0.45 metre for taking out /laying of CI/DI/GI pipe line including necessary earth work excavation and making good the disturbed surface with PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by trenchless technology using ultra sounding technique and necessary machine including HDPE pipe of 150 mm dia suitable for 0.4 mpa working pressure complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repair galvanised iron bolt,nut and washers of any dia and length as required at site complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation for valve chamber etc including formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Construction of brick masonry valve chamber of size 900 x 900 x900 mm (internal dimensions) with PCC 1:4:8 foundation 150mm thick masonry built in CM 1:6 PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate coping 50 mm thick, 15mm thick plastering in CM1:6 to all internal and exposed surfaces including excavation and earth work in hard /dense soil including provision of MS sheet cover 3mm thick with locking arrangement embedded in PCC coping and painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer etc complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
