| 1.00A EARTHWORK General Note : 1) The contractor at his own expenses shall put up the necessary shoring, strutting and planking or cut slopes with or without steps, to a safer angle or both with due regard to the safety of the personnel and works and to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. No extra payment shall be made to the contractor for the same. 2) Lead to be measured from the nearest boundary of the building up to the respective point of disposal by shortest motorable route. 3) All treasures, artifacts, precious metals, utensils, whether ancient or modern, found during the excavation work, should be handed over by the Contractor to the Owner / Employer. 4) The contractor should also make sure that the wheels / tyres of the hauling vehicle are adequately cleaned with water prior to leaving the site so that no mud / dirt tracks are smudged during transit outside the site premises. 5) Selected top soil shall be stored in plot area if so directed by the Engineer-in-Charge 6) Rate for excavation in hard rock to include cost of chiseling (manual / mechanical) (wherever applicable) and breaking upto smaller pieces (average 230mm size) to rubble soling size or as directed. 7) Adequate steps must be adopted to safeguard environmental norms. 8) The contractor's scope shall include for proper study & investigation of the rock structure & assessment of the implications of excavation on the strata in the surrounding buildings. Any anomalies or discrepancies shall be reported to the Engineer-in-Charge before proceeding ahead for procuring approval from the Engineer-in-Charge. 9) The contractor’s quoted rate shall include for providing and maintaining necessary dewatering system comprising of pump sets of adequate capacity, flexible or hard drainage piping system to drain out pumped water & accumulated ground / rain water at locations approved by the Engineer-in-Charge-in-charge, all labour, plants & energy (fuel or electric as the case may be) as per the type of system & methodology approved and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge so as to ensure that the excavated pit is maintained dry . 10) Measurement : (i) The length and breadth of excavation shall be measured correct to the nearest cm. The depth of cutting shall be measured , correct to 5 mm, by recording levels for each layer of excavation before the start of the work and after the completion of the work. The cubical contents shall be worked out to the nearest two places of decimal in cubic metres. (ii) Excavation for basement raft at a depth of more than 1.5 metre from the NGL, all round excavation as shown in the drawings shall be measured for payment which shall be inclusive of allowance for centering and shuttering. Additional excavation beyond this limit shall be at the risk and cost of the contractor and shall not be measured for payment. On completion of the substructure work, the contractor shall dis-assemble the entire installed dewatering system and dispose it off. The rate quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive of necessary salvage value for the dewatering system. | ||||||||
| 2.00A-1 EARTHWORK IN MASS EXCAVATION FOR FOUNDATION / BASEMENT in all kinds of soils / weathered & soft rock / hard rock / concrete / old masonry etc. by mechanical means using hydraulic excavators, pneumatic breaking equipments, JCB, Poclains etc. to required level for all lifts & an initial lead of 50 metres in both dry and wet conditions, including stripping of any top loose soil, slush removal at locations as directed, cutting, chipping and chiseling of rock, spreading & leveling, ramming and consolidating. the bottom of excavated area to the required level and grade, dressing the sides of excavation wherever indicated and as required, unloading & double handling, cleaning the surface thoroughly for blinding concrete, and working in or under water/and/or liquid mud/slush and in or under foul positions if any, shoring, strutting, under pinning, ramming and including any additional excavation required for working space, taking necessary precautions to prevent any spillages or spoiling of the site premises / public roads during the entire process etc. complete as per the technical specifications, detailed drawings and as directed by the Engineer. A-2 DISPOSAL / STACKING OF EXCAVATED MATERIALS (all kinds of soil, rock, boulders, concrete or any other excavated materials) to disposal ground (Within the DAE Premises) for the mentioned leads including stacking / spreading in layers, breaking earth clods & rock clusters, leveling, disposing the soil by mechanical transport, loading / unloading etc. complete from the site of excavation to the place of disposition all as directed by the Engineer. The rate shall also include keeping the site & approach roads neat & clean to the satisfaction of the Engineer. The rates shall be applicable to net quantities after deduction of prescribed percentage for voids as mentioned in the technical specifications A-2.1 Lead charges for Lead exceeding 1 KM but not exceeding 2 KM, by mechanical transport including loading, unloading, stacking / levelling etc.

A-3.1 Supplying and injecting with approved quality chemical emulsion at the rates and concentrations as per IS 6313-2001 Part II for pre-constructional anti-termite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and all around the masonry pits, masonry foundations, wall trenches, plinth filling, junctions of wall and floor, expansion joints, surfaces of RCC works for a depth of min. 500mm from the finished ground level, foundation pit bottom & sides, surrounding of pipes, conduits etc., walls retaining soil above floor level, apron and drain along the perimeter of the building including all byeworks complete as per specification / IS 6313:2001 or latest revision and direction of Engineer in charge (only ground floor plinth area of the building will be measured for the payment in the following three stages. i) 20% after completion of the foundations ii) 50% after completion of the ground floor flooring iii) 30% after completion of all treatment works including ground floor doors & windows. Work to be executed by an approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (ten) years shall be furnished by the tenderer. Payment will be cleared only after submission of guarantee Note :1) Guarantee for the treatment for a period 10 (ten) years shall be submitted as per specifications. 2) The plinth area of the ground floor only shall be measured for payment excluding area of portico, chajja, ramp, shafts,etc. 3) Work shall be carried out by an approved specialised agency.

A-6 Providing and laying 230mm thick dry rubble packing using hard stone rubble, handset on one edge, mechanical transportation from the location of storage / stacking / quarry, unloading, levelling, spreading, consolidating / ramming the same with mechanical rammers, watering, filling, interstices with hand broken stone spalls and blinding the top with stone dust at least 0.5 Cum. per 10.00 Sqm. preliminary rolling/ramming of sub-grade, watering, rolling and ramming with hand roller / floor compactor etc.complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
B P.C.C R.C.C & FORM WORK B-1 Plain Cement Concrete
B-1.1 Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:4:8 (1 cement, 4 crushed sand, 8 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 / 40 mm) including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specifications and drawings but excluding the cost of Formwork shuttering, centering complete at all levels.
B-2 Providing and laying in position Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) of grade M-20 using 20mm maximum size aggregates and crushed sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved brand and quality (plasticisers / super plasticisers), weigh batching, mechanical mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement complete as per specifications up to Plinth Level
B-3 Providing and laying in position design mix reinforced cement concrete of M-30 grade manufactured in fully automatic batching plant for all RCC Works for levels as mentioned below, using graded stone aggregates of maximum 20mm nominal size & manufactured sand and river sand as per approved mix design conforming to latest IS : 383 with silt content not exceeding 8% by volume including admixture of approved brand and quality (plasticisers / super plasticisers), weigh batching, mechanical mixing, transportation, placing, vibrating, consolidation, finishing, curing, roughning and hacking expose concrete superfaces for plastering, grinding over concrete spills / level difference in joints of concrete etc. complete as per technical specification but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering & reinforcement complete as per specification.
Upto Plinth Level B-3.1 In raft slabs, footings, pedestals, equipment foundations, grade slabs, columns, plinth beams, tie beams, floor beams, retaining walls including counterforts, attached columns, lift walls, shear walls, parapet walls, floor slabs, flat slabs, ramp slabs, cover slabs, stairway waist slabs including steps and midlandings. drop pardis, fins, suspenders, gutters, architraves, upstands, bund walls, canopies, chajjas, ledges, lofts, wall stiffeners, lintels, bands, sills, copings, bund walls etc.
B-3.2 In Super structure (above plinth level) Note : 1) For all the items, of item no. B-3, in view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements, concrete admixtures (PCE / Napthalene / Melamine based superplasticizers) could be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for these items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 2) In case of higher grade of concrete specified for columns or walls, the concrete at the junctions of column/ wall section shall be of higher grade. The rate for beams/ column / slab etc. shall however respectively include the extra cost on account of richer mix spilling over if any in beams or slabs from column to the natural angles of repose of wet concrete & no extra cost on this account is payable. (3) The mix design of concrete shall be such that the density of concrete achieved shall not be lesser than 2400 kg per m3 (4) Silt content in Crushed / manufactured sand shall be restricted to a maximum of 8% by volume. (5) The Contractor shall provide at site, standby provisions of all construction equipments including batching plant during the entire execution period. In the event of breakdown of site batching plant, no extra payment shall be admissible for procurement of concrete from approved RMC plant located outside the site premises.
B-4 Extra over item nos. B1/B2/B3 for RCC using Ready Mix Concrete from including transporting and Pumping from approved batching plants
B-5 Extra over item nos. B-3 for RCC for temperature controlled at 19 Deg C
(6) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chisseling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar or non-shrink grouts as applicable at no extra payment. (7) Centering, and shuttering where exceeding 4.5 metre height in one floor shall be measured and paid for separately in Item B-7 below. (8) The completed form work including the alignment, levels, profile etc. shall be inspected and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before the reinforcement bars are placed in position. (9) Temporary shuttering used as stopper in concreting shall not be measured for payment. (10) Provision of through & through bolts / sleeves in external concrete walls,vaults, columns for centering / shuttering & scaffolding shall not be permitted. Through and through tie rods will not be allowed in leak tight structures. (11) The through & through bolts in RCC walls shall be monolithic having cup & cone system as per specific design requirements with prior approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. 12) The contractor shall design, fabricate, assemble and erect aluminium staging in areas wherever SS lining are indicated in the drawing. The contractor shall provide his design related documents & shop drawings including the grade, size, thickness & finish of the aluminium sections adopted for such staging for obtaining approval from the Engineer-in-Charge prior to the commencement. (13) The contractor shall ensure for provisions of adequate safety measures such as handrails, platform, safety nets etc. during the course of execution to facilitate safe means of access at no extra cost to the Owner.

B-8.1 Providing and fixing machine moulded anodised aluminium covering of approved pattern and design made out of 170 mm / or required wide machine cut aluminium confirming to IS:6061 and machine holed for receiving screws over expansion joints on vertical surfaces /ceilings with full threaded, cadmium plated steel screws 4 mm dia, 30 mm long and aluminium washers 2 mm thick, 15 mm dia at a staggered pitch of 200 mm centre to centre including drilling holes in the receiving surface and providing expandable plastic sleeves in holes etc. complete (Anodising on the aluminium steel and washers to be 15 micron thick)
B-9 Treatment of construction joints by cutting of green concrete when in final set condition using approved air water jet at a suitable pressure in early age concrete including removal of laitance, draining the water from the air jet after the joint cutting process, treating the construction joint using surface retarding solvent free poly-hydroxyl chemical agent by removing the cement-sand matrix upto 5 to 7mm depth with an air water jet having pressure of 7 kg per Sqm., wire brushing, cleaning etc. complete all as per specifications and directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note : 1) As a pre-qualification, field mock-ups shall be conducted to check the adequacy of the material and method to be deployed on the job, before adopting in the field. In case of change in material source / type or methodology of green cutting, pre-qualification shall be redone. 2) Wherever construction joints are found to be weak, the contractor shall rectify the same with nozzle grouting at no extra cost to the Owner.
B-10 Providing and placing in position suitable PVC water stop serrated with central bulb (225 mm wide) 8 to 11 mm thick & confirming to IS 12200 for construction / expansion joints between two RCC Members and fixed to the reinforcement with binding wire before pouring concrete etc. complete as per specifications
B-11 Grinding of RCC surfaces of walls, slab soffits etc. to achieve the formed surface to grade U-3 finish using grinding / carborandum stone for repairing surface defects in areas where forms are removed, ridges at form joints, honey-combed areas, damage resulting from the stripping of forms and bolt holes including chipping / tooling of bulges and ridges, rubbing, cleaning, necessary scaffolding / staging etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
C REINFORCEMENT & STRUCTURAL STEEL
C-1 Providing and fixing in position following steel reinforcement bars (tested quality) in all categories and for all heights, levels, locations etc. including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, straightening, cutting, bending, hooking, binding with with 1.6mm dia soft drawn annealed binding wire etc, welding and keeping it in position during concreting by means of stays, cover blocks in specified grade of concrete, ties as approved in accordance with codal requirements, spacers, chairs, hangars, etc. complete as per drawings and as directed by Engineer. The rate shall include for binding wire, cover blocks, labour, loading and un-loading charges, transporation & other incidental charges.
C-1.1 Using TMT Bars of Fe500D as per IS 1786. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor (SAIL, RINL, JSW or TATA make only) Note : (1) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also testing third party from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. (2) The binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment (3) Cover blocks shall be of same grade of concrete
C-1.2 Extra over Item C-1.1 for TMT Bars of dia 36mm and above
C-2 Providing and fixing in position tapered / parallel threaded Tension Compression Mechanical Couplers for rebars conforming to IS code on “Reinforcement Couplers for Mechanical Splices of Bars for Concrete Reinforcement - Specification”. The couplers shall have bar break properties for 100% Tension and compression joints as per manufacturer's specifications and as per the direction of the Engineer. The item shall include all operations and arrangements such as threading with manufacturer's machines and operators, enlargement at connection by forging, provision of bar caps to protect the threads on rebar and related operations and arrangements as required for completing the work. The cost shall include testing of joints before usage of the splice as required by the Engineer at intervals Note : Only the couplers provided at the lap locations shown in the drawing shall be payable. No deduction for labour and binding wire saved for not providing lap length shall be made.

C-3 Supplying, fabricating, assembling, hoisting / erecting and fixing in position at locations specified below & for all leads, heights & levels, structural steel works including angles, channels, beams, MS Plain/ square/Circular rods,flats, beam in monorails, girders, tubular sections, pipe sections, built-up sections, trusses , ladders, platforms, handrails, sag nods, gratings, plates of built up sections, gates, lifting hooks of pre cast blocks etc., including supplying, profile cutting, bending to the required shape & curvature as specified in drawing, including supplying, profile cutting, bending to the required shape & curvature as specified in drawing, fabricating, erecting as required, smooth grinding / machining of edges, electric arc welding, fixing in position to correct lines and levels using teakwood gutties including Dye Penetration test ,preparing the surface to ensure complete removal of mill scale by using wire brushes & sandpapering, painting with a primary coat of approved epoxy primer of approved make & quality for steel surfaces, cost of scaffolding / staging etc.complete as per approved shop drawings, technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
C-3.1 Structural Steel Works of MS rolled single / built-up sections conforming to IS 2062 for staircase, edge angles, nosing angles in trench covers, gratings etc., angle or channel frames for filter banks and closing ducts, column guards, monorails, railings, handrails, box column sections, MS grid work for lining works, crane girders, trolley rails, joists upto 300mm, channels upto 350mm, produced by rolling from virgin materials in the plants of the main manufacturers indicated in the list of approved makes and procured directly from them or from their authorised dealers. All test reports shall be provided along with the supply of the materials.

C-3.3 Structural Steel Works of MS rolled single / built-up sections conforming to IS 2062 in M.S Plain Plates and chequered Plates in Trench Covers, gratings, connection plates etc. produced by rolling from virgin materials in the plants of the main manufacturers indicated in the list of approved makes and procured directly from them or from their authorised dealers. All test reports shall be provided along with the supply of the materials.
C-3.4 Structural Steel Works of MS tubular hollow circular pipe sections conforming to IS 1161 / IS 1239 in railings, handrails, sleeves, brackets, connectors etc. produced by the main manufacturers indicated in the list of approved makes only. All test reports shall be provided along with the supply of the materials.
(6) Erection / hoisting shall commence only after approval of fabricated parts by the Engineer-in-charge. (7) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from the vendors from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. (8) If any source other than the vendors mentioned in the list of approved makes is requested by the contractor , the same shall be got approved by the Engineer-in-charge before procurement and relevant Test cerificate shall be produced. (9) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel. The test certificate from approved manufacturers and also cost of third party testing from approved laboratories shall be included in the rate with out any extra cost. (10) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. (11) Welding Electrodes of approved brand and specified suitable grade only shall be used (12) Holes shall be drilled by Drilling machines only and gas cutting of holes is not permitted . (13) Rate shall be inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes, tools and tackles etc.
C-4 Supplying, assembling, fabricating, testing, hoisting / erecting and fixing in position at indicated locations in RCC / Masonry/ Formwork, Mild Steel Embedded Parts (EPs) of various sections such as plates, pipes etc. and in required sizes for M.S angle edging, M.S. insert plates, M.S. pipes, M.S. fabricated box etc (for fixing on walls & in cable trenches and for anchoring false ceiling, ladders etc. cable trays, monorails, etc.), pipe sleeves, fabricated box EPs including supplying, cutting,bending to the required shape, fabricating, welding, erecting & fixing in position and painting the exposed surfaces with a coat of zinc chromate steel primer, cost of scaffolding / staging, mechanical transportation, aligning, fixing in position, providing necessary supporting arrangements etc. complete all as per approved shop drawings and specifications and as directed by the Project Engineer. Note : Supporting arrangement for erection of EPs shall not be paid separately.
C-4.1 All EPs
C-5 Taking delivery, assembling, fabricating, inspecting, testing, packaging, hoisting / erecting and fixing in position at indicated locations in RCC / Masonry/ Formwork, Stainless Steel Embedded Parts (EPs) (conforming to 304 L grade) of various sections such as plates, pipes etc. and in required sizes such as for S.S angle edging, S.S. plates, S.S. pipes and other relevant applications etc. supplied by the Department including transporting from the departmental stores, aligning, fixing in position, providing necessary supporting arrangements etc. complete all as per approved shop drawings and specifications and as directed by the Project Engineer. The work includes preparation of fabrication drawings, collection of Purchaser's Free Issue Materials, supply of requisite materials other than Purchaser's free issue materials (FIM), documentation, safe delivery to the project site, return of balance of FIM / scrap and erection during civil construction. Note : 1) Supporting arrangement for erection of EPs shall not be paid separately. 2) Reconciliation statement of SS EPs with respect to actual consumption against theoretical consumption as per approved proforma shall be submitted to the Engineer periodically as instructed.

C-7 Supplying and fixing Rolling shutters of approved make as per ISI standards made out of required size of MS Laths interlocked together throughout entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks mounted on specially designed pipes shaft with brackets, side guides and arrangements for inside & outside locking with Push and Pull operation complete including the cost of providing and fixing necessary 27.5 cm long wire wire springs grade No 2. and M.S Top cover of required thickness for Rolling Shutters Note : 1) The measurement for Rolling shutters will be as per structural openings. Hood etc. will not be measured separately. 2) Extra for providing MS Wicket gate and MS grills only will be measured separately

D MASONRY WORKS Note : (1) The brick work shall be constantly kept moist on all faces for a minimum period of seven days. Brick work done during the day shall be suitably marked indicating the date on which the work is done so as to enable easy monitoring of the curing period. (2) Only double tubular steel scaffolding shall be allowed. No holes in brickwall shall be allowed for scaffolding. (3) Shaping of the bricks for the exhaust fans, circular openings including sealing the gaps & finishing neatly shall be carried out at no extra cost (4) Floor height shall be taken as maximum 4.50 metres. High bays shall be calculated based on this and suitable weighted average rate shall be adopted with prior approval of the Engineer-in-charge.
D-1 Providing and Laying Solid cement concrete block masonry with M-5 Grade of 190/ 140 mm thick in super structure in cement mortar 1:4 (using crushed sand). The rate shall also include providing and placing in position 2 nos of 8 mm dia bars at every third course of the masonry work

G FIRE RATED DOORS
G-1 Providing and fixing of Hollow metal Two Hour fire rated doors (of approved ISO 9001-2000 certified Manufacturer) as per IS 3614 part-1 & part-2 for stability and integrity. Pressed Galvanized steel confirming to IS 277 with the following specifications. The recommended fire doors shall be tested at CBRI or ARAI for maximum rating of 2 hours with vision panel. Test certificates shall be furnished for vision panels as part of the fire door assembly. Independent glass test certificates shall not be accepted. The manufacturer's test certificate shall cover all doors supplied shall be within the tested specimen. Deviation in specification and sheet thickness other than what is mentioned in the test certificates shall not be allowed. Proper label confirming the type of door and the hourly rating shall be mandatory. Door frame shall be double rebate profile of size 143 x 57 mm made out of 1.60mm (16 gauge) minimum thick galvanized steel sheet. Frames shall be Mitered and field assembled with self tabs. All provision shall be mortised, drilled and tapped for receiving appropriate hardware. Rubber door silencers shall be provided on the striking jamb. Frames shall be provided with back plate bracket and anchor fasteners for installation on a finished plastered masonry wall opening. Once frame installed shall be grouted with cement & sand slurry necessary for fire doors on the clear masonry opening. Door leaf shall be 46mm thick fully flush double skin door with vision panels of size as indicated below. Door leaf shall be manufactured from 1.2mm (18 guage) minimum thick galvanised steel sheet. The internal construction of the door shall be rigid reinforcement pads for receiving appropriate hardware. The infill material shall be resin bonded honeycomb core. All doors shall be factory prepped for receiving appropriate hardware and provided with necessary reinforcement for hinges, locks, and door closers. The edges shall be interlocked with a bending radius of 1.4mm. For pair of doors astragals shall be provided on the meeting stile for both active and inactive leaf. Vision panel wherever applicable shall be provided as per manufacturer's recommendation with a beading and screws from inside. I WATERPROOFING WORKS Note : All the waterproofing treatment shall be executed through a water- proofing agency approved by the Engineer. A written guarantee on non-judicial stamp paper shall be submitted by the Contractor for a minimum period of ten / twenty years from the certified date of completion for the satisfactory performance of the entire water-proofing system.
I-1 Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on horizontal surfaces at all levels / depths as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and consisting of (i) Ist layer of 22 mm to 25 mm thick approved and specified Rough stone slab over a 25 mm thick base of C.M 1:3 (using coarse River sand) mixed with water proofing compound confirming to IS : 2645 in the proportion recommended by the manufacturer over levelling course, (Levelling course to be paid for separately). Joints sealed and grouted with cement slurry mixed with waterproofing compound. (ii) 2nd layer of 25 mm thick C.M 1:3 (using coarse river sand) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportions. (iii) Finishing top with stone aggregate of 10 mm to 12 mm nominal size spreading@ 8 cudm / sq.m thoroughly embedded in the 2nd layer

I-3 Providing cement based water proofing treatment to the new terraces, chajjas, cleaning the concrete surfaces, giving injections to the top slab as required with cement and approved waterproofing compound solution to fill up all inherient holes, voids, honeycombs etc. in the concrete slab, setting brickbat coba in waterprrof mortar with necessary gradient for easy flow of water and continue the treatment along the inner faces of parapet or other adjoining wall up to a height of 300 mm in thew shape of vattas, with waterproof plaster finished smooth with trovel in cement / geru with false markings of 300 mm squares complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge
I-3.1 With Average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm using river sand / crushed sand
I-3.2 Average 65 mm thick for chajjas using river sand / crushed sand
I-4 Extra over Item I-3 above for providing and laying approved fibre glass mesh cloth (of 45 GSM, resin content 18% & 2.5mm x 2.5mm grid texture) laid over the brick bats prior to laying of the top screed including surface preparation, fixing with adhesives to form a leveled finish.
I-5 Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portions of WCs, bath rooms etc. by appying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying: (a) 1st layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 kg / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 kg per sq.m. including injecting cemnt slurry .This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours. (b) 2nd layer of slurry of cement @ 0.242 kg / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.126 kg / sq.m. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed with water curing for 48 hours. The rate includes preparation of surface, treatment and sealing of all joints, corners, junctions of pipes and masonry with cement slurry. Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using crushed sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to relevant IS and approved by Engineer-in-charge including mixing 'RECRON 3S' fibre at the rate of 125 grams per 50 kg of cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slury in bottom and all the sides of sunken portion. complete as directed by the Enginer-in-charge. The treatment to be tested for water tightness before filling the sunken areas.
I-6 Conducting Water tightness / Hydro test for water retaining structures including all labour, materials, tools, equipment, services and including the following : (i) Testing of all water retaining structures for water tightness shall be carried out in accordance with Clause No. 12 of IS : 3370 (Part 1) : 2009 & and Appendix G of AERB/SS/CSE-1 (AERB CODE) to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. K IMPROVEMENT OF FOUNDING STRATA, CONFIRMATIVE GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS & CONSOLIDATION GROUTING General Note : The confirmatory investigations at founding level after exposing the founding rock strata shall include : i) Setting out final positions of boreholes and trial pits relative to base lines and agreed Bench Mark with the Engineer and recording the Reduced Levels at each bore hole top including setting up of boring rig equipment to the location of each boreholes and dismantling the same after the investigation, providing full bore log with stratification details. ii) The rate shall include the cost of all materials, plant, mobilisation & demobilisation of equipment, inclusive of taking approval from the Engineer, Setting out final positions of boreholes, labour, taking out samples, grouting the bore holes using approved grout mixture, laboratory testing, submission of reports etc. all as directed by the Engineer & as enumerated above. CONFIRMATORY FIELD INVESTIGATIONS : Conducting confirmatory field investigation as detailed hereinafter at founding level after exposing the founding rock strata as approved by the Engineer and as detailed herein below. The rate shall include the cost of all materials, plant, mobilisation & demobilisation of equipment, inclusive of taking approval from the Engineer, Setting out final positions of test locations, labour, taking out samples etc. all as directed by the Engineer & as enumerated above. : CONFIRMATIVE GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS : Carrying out confirmative Geological Investigations and all allied work at founding level after exposing the founding rock strata.
K-1 Drilling of Bore Holes : Drilling vertically through bedrock strata (Hard rock), using Nx size diamond bit, using double tube core barrel with suitable core catcher, including collection and logging of cores, placing them in approved wooden core boxes made up of 25mm thick planks with partitions of 12mm thick as per relevant IS with a coat of Anti Termite chemical in a proper sequence, numbering each core, noting the lithology, colour photographs (100X150mm size) of rock cores, locking arrangements, labeling and transporting the boxes to core store/laboratory as directed by EIC etc., all as per specifications for the following depths measured from existing ground level :
K-1.1 Drilling 76 mm dia. holes in rock from 0 m upto 20m below the founding level.
K-1.2 Drilling 76 mm dia. holes in rock from 20m to 40m below the founding level.
K-1.3 Drilling 76 mm dia. holes in rock from 40m to 60m below the founding level.
K-1.4 Drilling 76 mm dia. holes in rock from 60m to 80m below the founding level.
K-1.5 Drilling 76 mm dia. holes in rock from 80m to 100m below the founding level.
K-2 Pressure Meter Test : Conducting pressure meter test including mobilization and demobilization of pressure meter test equipment, conducting pressure meter test at 3 metre intervals in rock with equipment of minimum capacity of 200 Kg / Sqm.
K-3 Conducting Field Pumping ( Pumping/ Pumpout method) test as per IS: 5529 (Part-1 & 2) as per specification. Note: This test to be conducted at BH-- & BH---. or as specified by Engineer in Charge.
K-4 Laboratory Tests: Conducting laboratory tests conforming to IS : 2720 on soil / rock samples after referring Engineer In Charge and submitting results as specified.

K-5 Detremination of Point load strength index of rock sample as per IS:8764 - 1998 (reaffirmed 2008) & IS:10082 - 1981 and submission of test result as directed by EIC.
K-6 CONSOLIDATED GROUTING : Carrying out Consolidated Grouting & all allied work at founding level after exposing the founding rock strata. K-6.1 Drilling vertical holes of specified dia. in the foundation soil or rock strata by "Rotary" means for grouting using approved rotary rigs with diamond drills as per ASTM D 2113-83 etc. including flushing, routine washing of holes up to 30 minutes with double tube core barrel for primary / secondary holes of approved spacing, and special washing and all related incidental works as per drawings, technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer.
K-6.1.1 Drilling 48 mm dia. holes in rock up to 6 m below the founding level.
K-6.2 Conducting percolation test in the drill holes at the desired pressure, including water supply arrangements and necessary accessories etc. complete including the use of packers as approved by the Engineer. Note : The lugeon value to be achieved shall be less than 3
K-6.2.1 Up to 6 m depth
K-6.3 Carrying out consolidation grouting (upto specified depth from the founding level and surrounding area) of holes (of specified dia.) by injecting grout with cement (or cement mixed with mineral fillers of fluidifiers) at required pressure including the supply and use of mechanical packers to improve the founding rock strata to achieve the lugeon value less than 3 and conforming to IS : 6066, including cost of cement and maintenance of all technical records, Incidental works, materials complete. The consolidation grouting shall be done in stages as approved using cement grouts of approved mix and grout pumps of capacity /pressures as approved by the Engineer. Note : 1) The mode of payment shall be on the basis of the actual quantity of cement consumed in kg. 2) The item shall include for removal of packers as specified.
K-7 Preparation & submission of test reports including assessment of the safe bearing capacity of the rock strata and establish settlement using elastic theory including printing of reports and relevant drawings as described in specifications in triplicate along with electronic version of the report.
L MISCELLANEOUS WORKS
L-1 Supplying and fixing CI covers of approved shape and size with angle frame for manhole covers (standard pattern) of specified weight
L-2 Providing orange colour safety foot rest of minimum 6 mm thick plastic encapsulated as per BS EN 13101 : 2002, on 12 mm dia steel bar conforming to IS : 1786, having minimum cross section as 23 mm x 25mm and over all minimum length 263 mm and width as 165 mm with minimum 112 mm space between protruded legs having 2 mm tread on top surface by ribbing or chequering besides necessary and adequate anchoring projections on tail length on 138 mm as per standard drawing and suitable to with stand the bend test and chemical resistance test as per specifications and having manufacturer's permanent identification mark to be visible even after fixing, including fixing to walls all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
L-3 Providing and fixing PVC rain water pipes conforming to relevant IS type B and PVC SWR fittings & specials conforming to relevant IS including jointing with seal ring / With PVC solvent adhesive including fixing in walls using clamps etc complete all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

M ELECTRICAL Works
M-1 Supply and embedment of 16 SWG black enamaled heavy duty rigid mild steel (MS) ERW conduit pipe of following sizes along with all accessories such as bends, junction box, socket, check nut etc. including making threads, removing burrs, connection of accessories, drawing of fish wire, laying in RCC slab, beam and wall, cutting & laying in brick wall etc. as required under the instruction of Engineer-in-charge. Deep junction boxes of min. 75mm deep shall be provided in slab.
M-2 Supply and embedment of MS enclosure fabricated out of 2mm thick sheet steel for DBs, switches, plug sockets, JBs etc. with required cutting, welding, bending, stiffeners, removable plate on four sides, 2 nos. earthing stud on outer and inner sides, two coats of red oxide paint etc. and embed in concrete or brick wall, cutting brick wall to suit size etc., as per approved drawings or as required under the instruction of Engineer-In-Charge.
M-3 Supply and erection of plate earth electrode pit with 600mm x 600mm x 3.15mm thick tinned copper earth plate including accessories, GI clamp, test link, connection of 2 x 95 sq. mm copper conductor, providing concrete inspection pit with GI cover having lifting lug and locking arrangement, 50mm dia. GI class-B watering pipe of 2.5 mtr length with funnel, charcoal/coke, salt, excavation, backfiling with black cotton soil, compacting, watering etc. as per IS 3043: 2001.
M-4 Supply and erection of rod earth electrode pit with 25 mm dia. x 3 mtr long tinned copper earth rod including accessories, GI clamp, test link, connection of 2 x 95 sq. mm copper conductor, providing concrete inspection pit with GI cover having lifting lug and locking arrangement, 50mm dia. class B GI watering pipe of 3 mtr length with funnel, charcoal/coke, salt, excavation/piling, backfiling with black cotton soil, compacting, watering etc. as per IS 3043: 2001.
