Repairing of Phase II buildings Terrace Doors and other Civil minor repairs at NEIAH, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya

Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface for plaster including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 metres lead.

Repair to plaster of thickness 12 mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sqm and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing plastering the wall surface with white cement based polymer modified self-curing mortar, including disposal of rubbish, all complete as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

Surface preparation: (a) Removing existing white or colour washes on wall surfaces by steel wire brushing and or scraping, sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches complete.

Providing and applying Plaster of Paris putty of 2 mm thickness over plastered surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.

Applying one coat of water thinnable cement primer of approved brand and manufacture on surfaces: Water thinnable cement primer

Wall painting with acrylic emulsion palnt, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content less than 50 grams/ltr, Of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour. (b) New work (two coats)

Renewing glass panes, with putty and nails wherever necessary including racking out the old putty: (a) Float glass panes/ ordinary glass panes of nominal thickness 4 mm (weight not less than 10 kg/sqm)

De-silting, Cleaning, Providing and fitting of floor Stainless steel push down strainer, including removal of rubbish mixed with earth etc. and disposal of same, all as per the direction of Engineer-in- charge.(Non-Scheduled item) Nani trap

(c ) 25 mm thick PVC flush door shutters made out of a one piece Multi chamber extruded PVC section Of the size Of 762x25 mm or less as per requirement with an average wall thickness of 1 mm (sO.3 mm). PVC foam end cap of size 23xl0 mm are provided on both vertical edges to ensure the overall thickness of 25 mm. M.S. tube having dimensions 19xl9 mm and 1.0 mm (sO.1 mm) is inserted along the hinge side of the door. Core of the door shutter should be filled with High Density Polyurethane foam. The Top & Bottom edges of the shutter are covered with an end-cap of the size 25xl 1 mm. Door shutter shall be reinforced with special polymeric reinforcements as per manufacturer's specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing 1 mm thick M.S. sheet door with frame of 40x40x6 mm angle iron and 3 mm M.S. gusset plates at the junctions and comers, all necessary fittings complete, including applying a priming coat of approved steel primer. (b) Using flats 30x6 mm for diagonal braces and central crosspiece
