Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blade/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleanded and fee of dirt oil, vegetation and other debris. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with closed cell, medium densit, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint over it to be filled with polyurethance joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirments mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30% (a) Joint of width 12-15 mm

Thereafter filled with with pre-molded 20-25 mm thick compressible polythene closed cell type filler board as specified if required at site, cover it filled with closed cell medium densit, cross linked polythene form backup rod of appropriate dia for complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethance joint sealant 10 mm thick meeting the requirments mentioned in BS 5212, BS 4254 and EN 141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/-30% (a) Joint of width 21-25 mm

Material and labour for repairing pot holes / patches etc in existing cement concrete pavements by cutting out damaged portion around the pot holes with mechanical equipment into regular shape, 25 to 30mm deep, removing the loose material to a distance exc 250 metre but n.exc 500 m and cleaning the cut out portion with compressed air to remove all foreign materials like dust, dirt, loose aggregates etc, priming the pot holes / patches with special primer recommended by manufacturer and filling with modified elastomeric concrete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per ser item No. 3 here-in-above but depth of pot holes / patches exc 30 mm deep but not exc. 40 mm deep.

Material and labour for Repair to patches of flexural portion of runway, depth not exc 80 mm, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water with wire or jute brush scoring sunken surfaces in runway pavement, cutting around edge to at least full depth of carpet layer making proper rectangular or square shape patch and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (catonic emulsion RS) and filling the patch with Readymade Bituminous patching mix of using cutback bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with hand roller complete and clean the surface by booming and making FOD free surface to runway, Complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge.

Material and labour for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavement and applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Repair to patches upto 500 mm depth of flexible portion, exc 1 sqm each including taking out old existing material, sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surface in roads/runway/links, etc. Cutting around edges to at least 500mm in depth all as specified and directed.

Applying evenly a prime coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS:73 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.4 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechancial sprayer after cleaning of existing surface as specified and directed.

Providing and consolidating premix Dense Bitumious Macadam (DBM Grading-II) using min 4.5% VG-10 grade binder by weight of total mix, aggregate gradation as per Grading 2 of table 500-10 of MoRTH Specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using surface vibrator or temping machine complete all as specified and directed.

Applying evenly a tack coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS:73 at a rate of application of 0.4-0.5 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechancial sprayer after cleaning of existing surface as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Bituminous premix asphaltic concrete with 5.5% binder content as in semi-dense asphaltic concrete by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using surface vibrator or temping machine complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and consolidating premix dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC-1) using min 5.2% VG-10 binder by weight of total mix, aggregate gradation as per Bituminous Concrete Grading 1 of Table 500-17 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.
