SCHEDULE A BOQ
Disconnecting from system and taking out old unserviceable, burnt, punctured tarmac lighting cable 3 KV grade from excavated trenches/ ducts/ wall/ pole/ pipe etc, all as specified and directed. Note :- (a) Old/ unserviceable retrived tarmac cable will be handed over to Air Force authorites. (b) Excavation and earth work measured separately.
Taking out faulty Tarmac lighting UG cable, cutting faulty end and making joint using out door cable straight through jointing kit (Epoxy/ Heat Shrinkable type) suitable for PVC/ XLPE under ground cable, 3 KV grade including crimping copper sockets of suitable size complete of size upto 3 core 25sqmm. Note :- Excavation and earth work, sand cushioning, bricks for protection if necessary will be measured and paid separately.
Laying only in repairs Tarmac lighting cable of any size in trenches/ through pipes or bare in road crossing/ paths/ drains/ ducts/ floor/ along poles/ walls/ ceiling equipments etc. all as specified and directed. Note :- (a) Cable shall be issued by Air Force authority. (b) Excavation and earth work, sand and bricks shall be measured and paid separately.
Fixing only in repairs Taxi light fitting and connecting the Taramac lighting cables with necessary spike all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- (i) Taxi light fittings will be issued by Air Force authority. (ii) PCC foundation for fixing the fittings will be measured separately.
Cutting of existing rigid surface/joints of Runway/ Taxi Track/ Pavement of size 25 to 30 mm wide and 100- 150mm depth (average) in true vertical by using mechanical diamond cutter machine consisting of following activities :-
(a) Raking out old decayed/damaged existing concrete surface/sealing compound and cleaning the joints thoroughly by removing dust, dirt foreign material by appropriate electric cutter/ diamond cutter and Air Compressor. Note:- After cleaning the joints thoroughly, it shall got approved by GE before progressing further.
(b) Removing the existing sealing composing from the edges, bottom and sides of the joints by cutting edges, bottom and sides of the joints 1 mm of the existing construction joints (upto full depth of existing joints) by mechanical tool (Diamond cutter) to make the cross section of joint truly rectangular. Note:- Cleaning the edges/sides/bottom of joints by using diamond cutter only and clean surfaces shall got approved by GE. When the cleaning process approved by GE, primer and joint filling done in presence of Engr in charge.
(c) Once again cleaning the joints with compressed air and provide backup rod of 30-35mm dia and applying two primer coats upto the 10 to 15mm or above bake up rod depth & width of the existing joints after and interval of 30 minutes to complete prepared susrface the joints.
(d) 15mm depth above backup rod sealing the joints with polyurethane joints sealant/ and removing the tap after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Material shall conform to BS (Manufacturer : FOSROC (COLPOR-200 grey) or Chemtallraj India Pvt Ltd (RALLITHANE) or STP Ltd (Shalifax PU) or caliber construction chemistry- X seal traffic loop power component or CICO of Cippy ply seal.
(e) Electric supply shall be arranged by the contractor at his own arrangements.
Removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth up to 30 cm. cleaning/cutting the grass around two/ four pole structure, transformer yard,sub stn,generator rooms etc and removing the grass waste to outside MD land. Note :- The unit rate is deemed to be included for the following :- (a) Cutting and filling shall be cleared of shrubs, vegetation, grass bush, weed, trees and sapling not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of two metre above ground level. Useful material shall be stacked. (b) Cutting the grass/feilling of trees shall include digging out roots up to 60 cm below the ground level or 14 cm below the formation level, whichever is lower. All holes and hollows formed in the ground digging out of roots shalll be carefully filled up with moorum/red bajri well rammed and levelled.
S&F LED aviation obstruction light with IP 66 protection water clear poly carbonate UV stabilized dome neoprene rubber with bind spike with 302 Nos LED bulbs including necessary electric connections including 2.5 sqmm, 2 core, PVC copper cables fixed on wall with 20mm dia PVC conduit from DB to light fitting fixed in and including GI pipe 25mm dia 1 mtr long grouted with PCC complete/ binding with existing angle frame etc complete including taking down existing one all as directed at site. Make : Bajaj Cat No - 110731 or equivalent in Wipro/ CG.
M&L for insulation resistance testing of LT UG cable, XLPE insulated, armoured electric power cable with aluminium conductor 1100V grade of size from 120 sqmm to 150 sqmm 3.5 core after disconnecting the both end of the cable from transformer/ LT panel/ DBs and reconnecting the same after carryout the test all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge .
M&L for insulation resistance testing of LT UG cable, XLPE insulated, armoured electric power cable with aluminium conductor 1100V grade of size from 185 sqmm to 240sqmm 3.5 core after disconnecting the both end of the cable from transformer/ LT panel/ DBs and reconnecting the same after carryout the test all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge .
Note for Item No. 14 & 15 : (i) The quoted unit rate deemed to be included for disconnecting the cable from the transformer/ LT panel/DBs and reconnecting the same after the insulation resistance test.
(ii) The insulation resistance shall be tested between the conductors.
(iii) The insulation resistance shall be tested between the conductor and armoured/ earth.
(iv) The contractor shall arrange necessary testing instruments of suitable range and cost for the same shall deem to be included in the quoted unit rate.
(v) Test to be conducted in the presence of MES rep and concerned user and will record it in prescribed format. Test records duly signed by all to be submitted by the contrator to the Engineer-in-charge.
(vi) If any damages found at end termination of the cable, same shall be rectified by using suitable size of lugs / nuts & bolts for the reconnection of cable in transformer/ LT Panel/ DBs. cost for the same shall deem to be included in the quoted unit rate.
(vii) Cost of earth work required for disconnecting and reconnecting the cable shall deem to be included in the quoted rate.
(viii) Any major item required to rectify the defect shall be measured and paid seperately.
Checking of earth resistance of chemical/conventional earthing, identifying the earth and recording of test results in a prescribed format all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note for item No 25 to 28 : The following items are deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate :- (i) The above job shall be carried out by a trained technician having ITI in electrical and well known regarding earthing test. Documantary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced, before commencement of work.
(ii) The aforsesaid test will be carried out in presence of user and MES represnetative. (iii) Two Party (consisting 2 x 1 No. Technician with 2 x 1 No. Helper) will report every Morning at 9 AM to JE E/M for Daily earth testing.
(iv) They will test Earth Resistance Every Day (not more than 10 Nos earthing/day) in presence of user & MES rep and will record it in prescribed format , same will be put to Engineer-in-Charge,JE E/M duly signed by user & MES rep on very Next Day.
(v) Earth Resistance Tester will be provided by the Contractor. (Tester should be caliberated from Authorised Company/ Lab).
(vi) Contractor will be responsible for pouring of water in the Earth Pits Weekly at their own arrangement with Water Tanker, etc. (water will be provided by the department).
(vii) Checking of Earth Pits existing and improve it by watering / adding a layer of Salt/ Magnesium Sulphate/ Charcoal, etc.
(viii) Contractor will be responsible for marking of Earth check date and due date on existing Plate with paint as specified by Engineer-in-Charge.
(ix) Contractor will be responsible for cleaning of bushes and grass all around upto 1.50 Metre Area of existing Earth Pit with tightening of Strip.
(x) EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge.
(xi) Security pass for entering/ working in tech area to be obtained as per Station rules.
Checking of any breaking in the link of earth strip wire of Galvanised/Copper/Aluminium Strip any size and jointing them by Exothermic Welding or Brazing including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.
Excavation in existing defective earth pit as notified by the Engr-in-Charge and spreading Common Salt, Charcoal dust and Magnesium sulfate complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:-Common Salt, Charcoal dust and Magnesium sulfate shall be measured in relevant item of schedule. However labour element for spreading is deemed to be included.
Supply only common salt commercial in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits.
Supply only charcoal dust/Breeze each bags of 25 Kg in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits Note: (i) Earthing charcoal dust/Breeze shall be supplied in packing as per originally packed by the manufacturer.
Supply only Magnesium sulpate in trenches to improve the ER value of existing erath pits.
S&F Water tubes of size of 20 mm bore medium grade ISI marked galvanized with all fittings such as bend, elbow, socket, tee etc and fixed complete to wall and ceilings or laid in floors including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as specified and as directed.
S&F Bib taps 20 mm bore, cast copper alloy with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe or for brass ferrule and fixed complete including taking down old unserviceable one, all as specified and as directed.

Note:- Unite rate is deemed to be included for old broken insulators/ clamps replace with new insulators of existing size from site and making good disturbed surfaces of floors/walls/ceiling etc complete all as directed.
S&F Epoxy base insulators of suitable size 40mm height for fixing GI earth strip on wall/ceiling/floor/poles etc including taking down existing one all as specified. NOTE : Quoted Unit Rate deem to be included drilling holes per Metre or as specified on GI/Aluminium/Copper Strip of any type and size.
Cutting and screwing existing GI tubing of size 20 /25/ 40 mm bore for alterations or additions complete all as per specified and as directed.
S&F Earth test point for down conductors on wall with 32x6mm GI strip, 25x3mm aluminium strip, epoxy insulator and GI bolts, nuts and washers complete including taking down all as specified and directed by Engr in charge.
S&F LDPE 40 mm bore of pipe for insulation of earth strip from bldg at entry points complete all as specified including taking out old unserviceable LDPE pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Repairing Damaged Earth Pit Cover Factory Made Earth Chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (20mm stone aggregate) as shown in Electrical Plate No. 03 of MES Schedule Part- I and providing Pre-cast RCC 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate) in Slab /Pit Cover 450x450x 50mm in size, reinforced with and including 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways including Funnel and cleaning the surrounding of Earth Pit Cover and pouring Salt Water to improve the resistace and measuring and recording the same in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and as directed.
S&F Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing one all as directed. NOTE : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of Factory assembled, Floor mounted, free standing, type tested LT Feeder Pillar Panels, with canopy, as per electrical specifications for outdoor installation, to be made of IP65 Polycarbonate modular enclosures. The Enclosures made of Polycarbonate, should be weather/ vermin proof, anti-acid, anti-corrosive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, Fire retardant and Self-extinguishing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960° in accordance with 60695-2-11. Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK 08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262, IP 65 in accordance with IEC 60529 & IEC60439-1, should have Dielectric Properties, RoHS compliant & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panel shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above-mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/ NABL labs in India. The panels should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thermoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. The depth of modular enclosures should be above 300mm for air circulation & to minimize temp rise. Panel should be fitted with 01 No polycarbonate IP 65, 9W LED translucent bulk head luminaire, color temp not less than 6500K, PF > 0.95 under canopy for easy maintenance. Panel should be fitted with 01 No of 16A 3P IP 65 industrial socket and 01 No of 32A 5P IP 65 industrial socket outside. 3 phase and neutral 1000 Amps current carrying capacity aluminium bus bar insulated with colour coded heat shinkable sleeves with SMC/DMC insulators,, complete with the following switch gears and mounting the panel board on floor, including dismantling and taking out old u/s LT Panel Board box and remove from site reconnecting existing LT Cables with new panel board complete all as directed :-
Periodical servicing and maint of electric operated hanger door comprising of 3 phase, 415V, 5.5 KW/ 7 HP capacity induction motor of Make - Siemens, 7HP VFD panel, chain pulley arrangement, push button for forwarding/ reverse movement of the doors, relays, limit switches, contactors, gear wheels, siren, ammeter and voltmeter, indicating lamps, MCB SP/ SPN of various capacities and suitable connecting cable etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Location - LCA Hangers - 02 Nos
Note for item No 85 :- (a) Each hanger consists of 04 Nos of electric operated door. (b) The unit quoted rate shall deem to be included to carried out all repairs noticed. (c) Repairs/ maintenance shall be carried out through the experinced service agency only. (d) The service agency must be attended as and when called for urgent nature of repair of hanger door irrespective of number of visit. (e) Replacement of minor items shall be included in the unit quoted rate. (f) Replacement of any major defective items will not be included in the scope of work. However, the decision of Accepting Officer is final and binding in deciding, whether the defective item is major or minor in nature.
M&L for rewinding of burnt electric induction motor of 3 phase, 415 volts, 5.5 KW/ 7 HP Make - Siemens including disconnecting electric connections/ taking down and shifting to local workshop and brought back to site and re-assembling, connecting, testing complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5m deep in hard/dense soil and getting out for taking down/laying of pipes complete all as per specified and as directed.
Returning, refilling including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cms thick in hard/dense soil complete all as per specified and as directed.
Removing excavated materials not exceeding 50m distance and depositing where directed at level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as per specified and as directed.
Riddling Sand obtained from excavation for cable protection 8cm under the cable and 15cm above the cable in trench and get the thick layer of 18cm after ramming complete all as per specified and as directed. Note :- In case sufficient sand not obtained from excavation, the required additional qty obtain from out side MD land as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The rate is deemed to be included.
S&F Fly ash bricks using modular bricks as in cable protection cover including taking down existing bricks of any size complete all as per specified and as directed.
S&F XLPE insulated, screened, PVC Bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cable heavy duty with aluminium condutor 1100Volts grade cross sectional area 300 Sqmm 3.5 core laid in trenches /ducts/fixed to wall/pole/ inside panel/ drawn through pipe including cable glands and terminal sockets, taking down existing cable etc all as specified and directed. Supply and installation of lightning air terminal made of non-corrosive materials, must comply and tested to NFC 17-102 and UNE 21186 standards. It should also be tested by CPRI India. The device should be tested for 100 KA of 10/350 µs waveform of lightning impulse current withstand test and anticipation emission time not less than 46 µs complying to NFC 17102 & CPRI. It shall provide complete protection by capturing dangerous lightning discharges and safely channelling it to earth. The lightning air terminal shall be an early streamer emission terminal which will respond dynamically upon stepped leader (lighting discharge moving down from the cloud) activity in the proposed Zone . The central finial shall be elevated above the spheroid and should be sharp pointed. Arcing shall occur between the panel sections of the spheroid and finial tip only upon the progression of a lightning leader.
Note for item No 134 :- (a) The lightning protection system shall be of the advanced type which is designed to send upward streamer earlier than the other surrounding metallic points, attract lightning to a preferred point and safely convey the lightning energy to ground with a predetermined route. (b) It shall provide radius coverage of 107 mtr level 4 protection. (c) The lightning terminal should not use battery power, solar power, electronic spark device or any other active component for its operation. (d) The lightning air terminal shall be maintenance free type and frequent testing should not be necessary for ensuring the working of it. (e) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum 05 years after certified date of completion. (f) The lightening terminal shall give reliable performance in all weather conditions. It should be suitable for corrosive environment also. (g) A security deposit of valve equal to 2.5% of the rate quoted for lightning air terminal shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for guarantee period. Supply and installation of high voltage cable green colour of cross sectional area 70 sqmm insulated copper conductor with 0.5mm thick PVC sheathed copper cable for lightning current dissipation to the earthing system with necessary fixing clamp, connector accessories etc. including taking down existing one. Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation all as specified and directed. Make : Model HTSP 317 of safeTrode or equivalent in ISG Global/ ERICO.
The unit quoted rate shall deem to be included for the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 04 number of earthing) to achive earth result less than 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.
(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor before commencement of work.
(v) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintened duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.
(vi) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.
(vii) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.
(viii) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.
(ix) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is mainained.
(x) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing per each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor for the guarantee period.
(xi) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH valve should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.
(xii) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .
(xiii) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.
(xiv) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm should be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip will be measured and paid separately).
(xv) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.
(xvi) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bonded rod to ensure genuity of material.
(xvii) Sign board of mild steel 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.
(xviii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.
M&L Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 9.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm dia for each electrode pit complete all as specified and directed. (c) Light transfer system:-Extension pipes:- diameter 400 mm,shape should be cylindrical, aluminium material, total reflectivity for LPR 400 mm-98%, material thickness not less than 0.4mm, protection film PE foil not UV resistant. (d) External Cladding:- If the light pipe are exposed to atmosphere external cladding is provided by galvanised iron sheet (GI) cladding enclsoing the reflective pipes inside with holding wall clamps. The pipes should be crimped circumfernctially to slip one into another and along the vertical lenght for overlap jointing of not less than 25mm. The Enclosures made of Polycarbonate, should be weather/ vermin proof, anti-acid, anti-corrosive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, Fire retardant and Self-extinguishing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960° in accordance with 60695-2-11. Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK 08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262, IP 65 in accordance with IEC 60529 & IEC60439-1, should have Dielectric Properties, RoHS compliant & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panel shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above-mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in India. The panels should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thermoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. The depth of modular enclosures should be above 200mm for air circulation & to minimize temp rise. Panel should be fitted with 01 No polycarbonate IP 65, 9W LED translucent bulk head luminaire, 6500K, PF > 0.95 under canopy for easy maintenance. Panel should be fitted outside with 01 No of 16A 3P IP 65 industrial socket and 01 No of 32A 5P IP 65 industrial socket. 3 phase and neutral 250 amps current carrying capacity copper bus bar insulated with colour coded heat shinkable sleeves with SMC/DMC insulators, complete with the following switch gears and mounting the panel board on ground with PCC (1:3:6) bedding upto a height of 45 cm above ground level, including dismantling and taking out old u/s LT Panel Board and remove from site reconnecting existing LT Cables with new panel board complete all as directed :-
Supply and Fixing in replacement of digital Ammeter has automatic range of range from 0-400A , class 1.0,burden 15VA suitable to fix on existing LT Panel board including taking out old unserviceable item complete all as per specified and as directed. Make : AE, L&T, HPL
Supply and Fixing in replacement of single phase in door Current Transformer of ratio 400/5A class 1.0/5P10,burden 15VA suitable to insert on alluminium bus bar of suitable rating including taking out old unserviceable CT from existing LT Panel board complete all as per specified and as directed.
Attending, Repairing/restoring of electric power supply in the AF stn Sulur area, after identifying fault in HT 11 KV or LT 415 volt system, RMU,VCB, LT Panels, two/ four pole structure, transformers, Over head lines in any section or circuit, including checking of insulators, lightning arresters, GODs, LT Panel Boards and all electrical accessories and making it serviceable in all respect including replacement of nut, bolt, washers and minor parts/spares, insulation tapes and cable sockets of any size complete all as per specified and as directed.
Note for item No 229 :- (i) The above work also include checking, detection and rectifcation of LT/HT UG Cable faults at AF Area as and when directed by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M).
(ii) Hiring of cable fault detector to detect exact location of LT/HT UG cable fault deemed to be inclusive of quoted rate.
(iii) Major items required to be replaced/repaired will be measured under relevant items of schedule.
(iv) Excavation and earth work if required will be measured separately.
(v) Complaints will be given in person or through telephone by AGE/JE E/M round the clock (ie 24 Hrs x7 Days).
(vi) In case of minor defect, entire job shall be completed within 06 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ Rs. 300/- per hours shall be recovered.
(vii) The transportation/ T&P required for the work shall be arranged by the contractor and no extra cost will be paid for the same.
(viii) In case of major defect, the period for attending of complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC by accessing extent of repair required through joint inspection by Engineer-in-Charge and authorised service agent of the equipment at the site. If complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs. 500/- per hours shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.
(ix) Note that penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
(x) Contractors representative/Engineer will report to JE E/M in charge or AGE E/M at fore noon and after noon to collect routine/urgent works till completion of work.
Earthing with Galvanised Earth Plate Electrode 600x600x 6mm thick burried directly in Ground (Earth Pit not less than 2.25 Metre below Ground Level) with Top edge of the Plate not less than 1.50 Metre below Ground Level, connected with Galvanised Earth Strip of size 25x6mm (upto 7.5m length) by means of Bolts, Nuts, Check Nuts and Washers of GI or Steel and connected Earthing Testing Point/Bus-bar including GI 40mm bore (dia) light grade Protection Pipe, Earth Plate surrounded by a packed thickness of Char Coal or Coke Dust mixed with Common Salt, Magneisum Sulphate (1 : 1 : 0.5) in alternate layers of not exc 150mm thick, PCC Pit in Cement Concrete 1:3:6 (20mm graded stone aggregate) and Pre-cast RCC Cover Slab of size 350x350x50 mm in Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (20mm graded stone aggregate), reinforced with 10mm dia TMT Bars @ 100mm Centre to Centre in both ways, GI Wire Mesh, Funnel with GI Watering Pipe 20mm bore (dia) medium grade including necessary Excavation in any type of soil, Returning, Filling in and Removal of surplus Spoil disposal to out side MD land and all as shown in Electrical Plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I and Testing on Completion including taking down old unserviceable one, complete all as per specified and as directed.
(a) All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing. (b) After completion of work earthing shall be tested by the contractor in presence of Engineer-in-Charge, User and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. (c) Earth resistance tester shall be provided by the contractor. It should be caliberated from authorised company/ lab. (d) After testing if desired earth resistance of less than 5 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is obtained.
M&L Galvanised Earth strip of size 25 x 6 mm fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end complete all as per specified and as directed.
