Dismantling Bituminous road including stacking of serviceable materails and disposal of unserviceable materials within 200 m lead.
Lead charges for Soil for Lead exceeding 1 KM but not exceeding 2 KM, by mechanical transport including loading, unloading, stacking / levelling etc. 'Note: The rates in respect of this item is applicable for NET Quantities arrived at after making deduction for voids @ 20% in respect of soil from corresponding STACK / TRUCK Measurements.
Preparation and consolidation of sub-grade (Proof Rolling) with power roller of 8 to 10T capacity including excavating earth to an average thickness of 22.5 cms depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and rerolling the subgrade and disposal of surplus earth within a lead of 200 m.
Providing, laying, spreading and compacting hand broken/ crushed stone aggregate, 250 mm thick Wet Mix Macadam including premixing of material with water in mixing plant for Wet Mix Macadam, carriage of mixed material by tipers to the site and laying material in uniform thickness and laying by mechanical paver including rolling with road roller 8.10 tonne capacity in stages to proper grade and camber spreading and brooming etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge (Compacted thickness only will be measured and paid for.)
Providing laying bituminous macadam of thickness 50 to 75 mm as directed on prepared surface with spcified graded crushed stone aggregate for profile corrective base / binder course including loading of aggregate with FE loader, hot mixing of stone aggregates and bitumen in hot mix plant, transporting the mixed material by tippers to paver and laying the mixed material with paver to the requied level and grade and rolling with road rollers, as per specification to achieve the proper compaction but excluding the cost of primer / tack coat with bitumen of 60/70 grade (VG 20) @ 3.5% (percentage by weight of total mix).
Providing and laying dense bituminous concrete of thickness 25 to 40 mm as directed on prepared surface with specified graded stone aggregate for wearing course including loading of aggregate with FE loader and hot mixing of bitumen with filler and stone aggregate in hot mix plant transporting the mixed material by tippers to paver and laying the mixed material with mechanical paver finisher fitted with electronic sensing device to the requied level and grade and rolling with road rollers, as per specification, to achieve proper compaction but excluding cost of primer / tack coat with bitumen of grade 60/70 (VG 20) @ 7% (percentage by weight of total mix).
Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade 60/70 (VG 20) including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen mechanically / manually, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specifications On WBM / WMM @ 0.75 kg / sqm.

Painting road surface marking with Thermoplastic paint hot on bituminous surface applied to give uniform finish with Glass beeds / power Topping, on bituminous surface in white / yellow shade including cleaning the surface of all dirt, scales, oil, grease and other foreign material etc complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Labour charges for murum filling under floors of specified thickness in layers of not exceeding 150 mm thickness including consolidation etc. complete (using murrum available at BARC campus with a lead of up to 4 Km) .
Supplying man power along with necessary pans, spades, shavels pickaxe, punjas, ropes, smallspecial spade raincoats etc. minimum two number of labour per day upto maximum any numberof labour as and when decided by Project Engineer to work for eight hours per day or monsoonperiod to carry out the cleaning of choked drains grating grills/hume pipes /footpath byremoving the dry leaves, silt etc. and also carry out seasonable departmental work allotted byProject Engineer from time to time.
Carrying out Civil Engineering works like surveying & leveling, checking of formwork fabrication, reinforcement fabrication as per drawings, witnessing sample retrieval & testing for various construction materials, ensuring concrete ingredient ratio at batching plant and pouring of appropriate grade of concrete in plain and reinforced concrete works, ensuring proper mixing of approved ingredients & waterproofing admixtures for mortars and brickwork, plaster, flooring & waterproofing works, and other civil & PH works including supervision of construction safety as per BARC specifications & relevant documentation, compiling, binding and preparation of tender documents & Agreements overall as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 'Note : '(1) Each Job shall be carried out by one qualified Technician having minimum SSC with Trade certificate in Masonary/Plumber/Carpenter/Painter Trade of less than one year duration from ITI/Government Recognised Vocational Training Institute. '(2)Deployment: The contractor shall deploy one Technician for each job for 6 working days per week for minimum 8 ½ hours per day with 30 minutes of break, in General (Ist / IInd) or on Round the clock shift including Saturdays, Sundays & holidays whenever necessary as per the discretion of the Engineer-in-Charge during the contract period. In case of emergency works like continuous pouring of concrete or shutdown/maintainance work, the person will have to stay longer occasionally as per the instruction of the Engineer in-charge. No additional payment will be made on this account. '(3) Period of work: The contractor shall carry out 1 Job per day for the period mentioned in NIT. '(4) Mode of measurement : Measurement will be per job basis. A single job shall be carried out by deploying one Technician exclusively for the particular job. '(5) Person should be engage after scrutiny of BARC Engineers and approved by Competent authority.

'(2)Deployment: The contractor shall deploy one Engineer for each job for minimum 26 working days per month for minimum 8 ½ hours per day with 30 minutes of break, in General (Ist / IInd) or on Round the clock shift including Saturdays, Sundays & holidays whenever necessary as per the discretion of the Engineer-in-Charge during the contract period. Providing Structural steel work using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted in built up sections for trusses , structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of approved steel primer etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge. 'Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections using materials produced by SAIL / RINL (Vizag Steel) / TATA. 'Important Notes for Item No. 15 : '1. The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. '2. Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. '3. Welding Electrodes manufactured by M/s. Advani Oerlicon / ESAB India & D& H of specified suitable grade only shall be used. '4. Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted . '5. Rate inclusive of all consumables like GAS, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc.

Providing and Painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint on steel surfaces of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade over a primer coat including preparation of the surfaces, scaffolding complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 crushed sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20 mm) / M15 with minimum cement content 320 Kg/CuM including consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete as per specification and drawings but excluding the cost of Formwork shuttering, centering and steel reinforcement at all Levels .
Extra for PCC Using Ready Mix Concrete from outside project area including transporting and pumping from approved batching plants .
Providing, supplying "JCB" Loader cum excavator and executing the works like excavation, grading, levelling, debris cleaning, cutting wild vegetations & brances etc. JCB Excavator cum loader including Operator. 'Conditions :- '1) The above rate shall be inclusive of JCB, Fuel, Operator and other consumables etc. '2) The rates are inclusive of all Taxes including Service taxes/GST if any. '3) Break Down Hours and Lunch break timings shall not be considered for payment. '4) You are required to engage skilled driver/Operator possessing valid driving license and proper address proof & police verification certificate. '5) The make and model of the vehicle should be less than 8 years old, roadworthy with all valid documents. '6) The vehicle should be free from all sorts of defects and will be subjected to inspection by a representative of BARC whose decision is final and binding as regards suitability of that particular vehicle. '7) The cost of POL, maintenance of vehicle including replacement of parts, fuel etc.,wages of driver, Motor Vehicle taxes , comprehensive insurance, etc. shall be payable by you and BARC shall have no liability towards usage of the vehicle. '8) The contractor shall take the signature of the departmental authorities on Log Book/ Duty Register. '9) Fraction of hours shall be rounded off to nearest half an hour at the time of preparing running bills/ final bill. '10) Excavator bucket of 300 mm/600mm/900mm wide must be attached to the JCB whenever directed. 11) The contractor shall arrange adequate insurance coverage for his personnel. '12) The cost of damages to any government movable/ immovable property in and around the site shall be entirely borne by the contractor.Department shall not be responsible for any liability arising out of any accident/injury caused to contractor persons while executing the job. '13)The driver shall work as per instructions given by the departmental officers. 'Important note:-While carrying out the resurfacing to existing road work, there is no separate provision for extra payment for removing grass, wild vegetations, small plants which are found over the existing road surface/ road side etc. The contractor make their own arrangement for cleaning of road surface on free of cost.
