SCHEDULE "A" PART-I (ROAD REPAIR)

Scaryfying old premix carpet bituminous road surfaces in area exc 400 Sqm and not exc 50mm deep by mechanical equipments using Milling process including removal of scarified material outside MD land all as specified and as directed by the Eng-in-Charge.

Repairs to potholes any depth not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc., cutting around edges to atleast 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal (including provision of road metal), watering and well ramming complete all as specified and as directed.

Premix Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), as in profile layer, with grading 2 of IRC laid in layers of 50mm or less (consolidated) thickness using 4.0% binder content by weight of total mix, with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 using hot mix plant spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical sensor paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with mechanical blower or brooms to remove all loose dirt, materials etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly using pressure sprayer a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 at 5 kg / 10 Sqm over bituminous surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly using pressure sprayer a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer of paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 at 10 kg / 10 Sqm over WBM surfaces of repaired pothole complete all as specified and as directed.

Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC), 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% minimum binder content by weight of total mix, (paving bitumen VG-30) and filler of 2 % cement, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete using mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform, smooth surface using Tandem vibratory road roller complete all as specified and as directed.

(a) Contractor shall quote his rate by considering 5.5% bitumen content. If it is less than 5.5% by weight of total mix, the amount shall be recovered for the less weight of binder only at the rate of Rs 42/- per Kg if technically acceptable. No other claim whatsoever on account of this will be allowed.

(b) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

(c) Cement shall be used as filler at a minimum of 2% by weight of total mix. In the event of variation in the mix design in the percentage of filler content on plus side, nothing extra shall be paid.

(d) The coarse aggregate for SDAC shall be granite stone.

Preparing black top road surface including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (Retro reflective) of specified shade/colour using hot thermoplastic material conforming to IS-164(1981) by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser including glass beads, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions all as per BS EN 1871, BS EN 1423 and BS EN 1424 complete as specified and directed.

Moorum / red bajri, as in berms, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradienr and camber required of spread thickness 75mm using hand roller 0.20 tonne to 0.50 tonne capacity as in berms complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing old solar studs and taking on credit and provision of new Solar studs made out of aluminium composite body (of load capacity 20 Tonne) fixed with bright LEDs 3 Nos (RED) on each side, size 125mmx125mmx25mm and shank 65mm, with battery of Li / Cd and to be fixed using adhesive as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Make shall of Cat No. Dhruv DA-110 of Dark Eye or equivalent of makes as listed here-in-after as approved by GE.
