REPAIRS REPLACEMENT OF LT UG CABLE AND ITS ALLIED WORKS AT ZONE C AND E AREA UNDER GE CHENNAI

Excavation in trenches not exc 1.5m in width and 1.5m in depth for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick.

Removing excavated material / soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and lay sand cushioning spreading levelling for cable trenches all as specified and directed (Punned thickness only shall be measured and paid)

Supply and laying well burnt bricks sub class 'B' in trenches for cable protection of U/G cable all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charges including removing the old unserviceable bricks.

Taking out the existing PVC/XLPE, 1100 volts grade, LT UG electric cable of size 25 sqmm x 3.5 core with glands, cable protection pipes, cable route indicator etc., complete from the trenches/fixed on wall (or) passing through pipes/in floor removing the unserviceable fault cable and carefully stacking the serviceable cable for reusing all as specified and directed by the Engr-in- charge Note:- Excavation and Earth work shall be measured and paid separately under respective items wherever applicable:-

S & L in trenches by suitable clamps and jointing complete GI pipe light grade of following sizes incl taking down of old unserv pipe complete all as specified and directed.

S& F for PCC type C-1 1:3:6 (20mm graded aggregate complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge

Fabrication and installation of cable route indicator made out of 10 mm thick CI plate , oval shape of suitable size and embossed with Mark of " MES LT Cable " including 30 cm length angle iron support and embedded in and including earthwork, excavation & PCC and taking down old cable route indicator complete all as directed.

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 6 mm thick burried directly in ground( earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below the normal ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5m below normal GL connected to GI earth strip of size 25x4mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts washers of GI or steel all as shown in electrical plate No-5 of SSR Part I connected to machinery/equipments installed power house/sub station all as specified including testing on completion, complete all as per Electrical plate No.03 and as directed by Engr-in-charge Note : the quoted unit rate shall also include for excavation earth work in any type of soil PCC (1:3:6) type C1 pit RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 cover slab reinforced with 8 mm dia CTD bars @ 150mm C/C both ways, funnel with 15mm bore GI watering pipe 20mm dia bore GI protection pipe wire mesh and copper lugs complete in addition to item No 1(a) to (e) of preamble of dia 20mm Under sub heading earthing specified.
