M&L for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 5 Kg per 10 Sqm of surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm of paving bitumen (VG-30), blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, depth of pot holes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by GE.

M&L for repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal of granite, trap or basalt stone), complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by GE.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) The work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE. (ii) Paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Bituminous concrete shall be mixed in drum type hot mix plant, transported from plant to work at site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver finisher. (v) Filler for bitumen concrete shall be OPC grade @ 2% of total mix. (vi) Contractor shall quote his rate on the basis of binder as mentioned in this item. If there is any minus variation in the actual binder content used as per design mix approved by GE, the rate shall be adjusted as per invoice submitted by the contractor per Kg of binder used. However no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in this item.

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows letters, marking 3mm thick painting new or previously treated road surfaces with hot applied retro reflective thermoplastic n exc 10cm wide road marking paint (white/golden/yellow) conforming to Morth (Clause 803.4) all as specified with 8% glass beads using special applicator machine with heating arrangement upto 160 degree C including cleaning and drying the existing road surfaces to ensure dust, oil, grease and moisture free surface before applying the paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road marking strips (Retro-reflective) for centre line, stop lines , dashes and the like exc 10 cm wide on road specified shade/colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, Glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc, complete all as specified and directed and accordance with manufactuers specifications.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floor and pavings exc 15 cm thick (below or above ground level) including floor tiles of any description complete all as specified & as directed.

M&L for Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified & as directed.

M&L for preparation of newly untreated plastered surfaces of any description over 10cm in width or girth and applying tow coats of synthetic emulsion paint of approved shade/tint complete all as specified & as directed.
