M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces area not exc. 400 sqm and depth exc 50 mm and n exc 100 deep, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer @5 kg per 10 sq m. pulling in premix as specified for thin bituminous carpet (2 cm thick ) well rammed and sealed with premixed sand seal coat (6.8 kg binder with 0.06 cum of sand), again well rammed (including supply of premix binder and sand) depth of potholes n exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed

M&L for preparing scarified black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bages to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as sod and directed.

M&L for 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM in single layer with coarse aggregate of grading (50 to 20mm size) lime stone, sand stone rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required with power roller complete all as specified & as directed

M&L for preparing Unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a primer / tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 Sqm, using paving bitumen (VG-10), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with VG-30 grade paving bitumen (4% by weight of total mix) to meet the desired requirement as mentioned in Particular Specification, mixing bituminous concrete in computerized hot mixing plant, laying and spreading uniformly by means of mechanical paver and rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber by 8 to 12 tonne vibratory road roller complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self-propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 46.49 per Kg.

M&L for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a primer / tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 Sqm, using paving bitumen (VG-10), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in computerized hot mix plant, laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with the help of mechanical paver and power roller 8 to 12 ton capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note: (1) Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid using self-propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshal Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Manual MS-2 (Sixth edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 75.30 per Kg.
