Repair / maintenance of street / security lights any type, flood lights, post top lanterns or any other external lights in its position fixed on pole /building structure by taking down to ground, if required, testing all the compenents / parts, wiring etc, identifying and replacing the defective components like electronic driver, surge protection device (SPD) connection wires/ cable, MCB etc including refixing the fitting to its original position (if taken down), including repair / maint of street light control timer & junction box complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note:- (i) The cost of labour and allied expenses demmed to be included in unit quoted rates of this item. (ii) Spare parts like electronic driver,surge protection device (SPD), connection wire, MCB, timer, contactor spares etc will be measured & paid for separately under respective items of BOQ as "Supply only". (iii) The contractor's representative will report to concerned JE E/M to collect the list of defective street light fittings and will submit the completion report on the same day before 1700hrs to the JE E/M.

(iv) The contractor has to rectify the defects/ repair and make the street light functional within 24 hours from the time the list of defective street lights is handed over to him/ his rep by the concerned JE E/M. In case the street light is not made functional for whatsoever reason within stipulated time limit, an amount of Rs 150.00 per such defective street light per day will be recovered from the amount due to him through RAR / Final Bill. (v) The contractor shall maintain proper record of repair / maint in a binded register duly bringing out the details of spares replaced on each and every street light and get it authenticated from concerned JE E/M on daily basis. The contractor shall put up the maintenance record register to Engineer-in-charge for inspection every Monday or as and when asked for. (vi) The contractor shall be fully responsible for the safety of his workers engaged for executing this work and he will provide all requisite safety equipments and clothings to his workers and department shall not be responsible for any kind of mishapening / accident / injury to his workers. (vii) The contractor shall maintain sufficient stock of spares parts / material required for repair / maintenance of street lights with the concerned JE E/M against the supply only items as mentioned here-in-below. (viii) Attending of one number of complaint and make it functional shall be measured as one job.

M&L for maintenance free grounding Solution set earthing comprising of 17.2 mm pure copper earthing rod, 3m long, copper terminal size of 40x6mm with 2 Nos. M8 holes for termination. Electrode must be tested for a short circuit test of minimum 40 KA at CPRI / NABL. The earthing electrode will be placed in the ground after a bore is drilled to the depth of 3.5 m. The bore drilling will be done with the help of a Pneumatic boring machine, 50 Kgs BFC will be placed in the bore to cover the earthing rod from all sides. BFC will be poured in Slurry form in a properly mixed condition. The Earth pit cover Square 300x300x240 mm size to be provided to cover the earth pit and shall be made of reinforced FRP and should be capable of carrying the weight of 5 Tons, complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge. Make : "U-PROTEC" earthing Pvt Ltd or equivalent in Ashlok safe earthings electrode Ltd /JEF technology NOTE :- (a) Rates of boring 3.50 m for earth electrode, copper strip 25x3 mm up to 7.5 Mtr from earth electrode is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (b) On testing, after completion, if the earth resistance <5 ohms is not obtained, earthing will be rejuvenated at no extra cost to the Department untill the desired earth resistance is obtained.
