Charpoy GI Pipe (DRG NO FD- 220)

Removing old unserviceable nylon newar from Charpoy GI pipe and supplying fixing 12mm thick plywood commercial type of size 1980 x 900 mm, (Grade : Boiling Water Resistant (BWR), IS 303: 1989) to GI pipe frame by providing 02 No's of flat iron of size 50mm x 6mm of length equal to width of GI charpoy, flat iron stiffener shall be painted two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide, bending the flat iron to the shape required to fix it tightly to GI Charpoy with the help of nut, bolt of size 62-65mm and 6mm dia by drilling holes into GI pipe alongwith any welding if required. The plywood shall be fixed on the charpoy by drilling 12 No's hole (2 No's on each long rail and 2 No's each short rail and 2 No's on each flat iron) and fixing it with flat headed nut and bolt of size 62-65mm and 6mm dia and tightening the complete frame all as shown on Drg No FD-220 and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Removing old unserviceable three way elbow from the GI pipe and S&F new three way elbow 32mm dia ISI marked, complete all as specified / shown on drawing FD-220 and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make: JINDAL / TATA / SURYA

Removing old unserviceable GI check nuts from the GI Charpoy frame and S&F new GI check nuts 32mm bore / dia and 10mm wide as specified / shown on drawing FD-220 and as directed.

Removing old broken end long rail from Charpoy and S&F new long rails of GI pipe ISI marked, 32mm dia medium grade duly threaded up to 22mm on both ends to be fitted to the frame complete all as specified and shown on drg No FD-220 or as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make of GI Tubing: JINDAL/TATA/SURYA

Removing old broken end short rails from charpoy and replacing with new short rails of GI pipe made out of long rails retrieved vide serial item No 1.04 here-in-before duly threaded at both ends up to 22mm long at both ends to be fitted to the frame complete all as shown on drg No FD-220 or as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing old broken end legs from charopy GI and replacing with new legs of GI pipe made out of short rails retrieved vide serial item No 1.05 here-in-before, duly threaded at one end to be fitted to the frame. The lower end of the leg shall be provided 3mm thick MS plate of 40mm dia shall be provided duly continuous welding with and including provision of FMN set all as shown on drg No FD-220 all as specified and as directed by ENgr-in-Charge.

CHARPOY IP HARD TOP (DRG NO FD/MAP-II/01)

(i) Long and short rail of bed shall be 65 x 25mm 16 gauge rectangle MS pipe. Stiffeners shall be 25mm 16 gauge square MS pipe. Legs shall be 32mm 16 gauge square MS Pipe and welded properly at joints to make the charpoy. 25x60x6mm cleats be welded with short rails inner side to support the plywood. 12mm thick plywood BWR type unpolished shall be provided to the top of charpoy screwed with cleat and stiffeners by nut and washers. (ii) All steel surface shall be treated with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of black colour over a coat of primer including prepration of steel surface. Painting shall be done through spray painting process. (iii) Hard rubber shoe shall be also be fixed under the legs all as per shown on drg.

Notes: - (i) Sample of Plywood, long rails shall be as approved by GE as per sample approved in sample room of GE Office. (ii) No. of minimum labours on daily basis should be deployed by the Contractor as given below: - (a) Carpenter - 02 No's (b) Helper - 02 No's (iii) No T&P will be issued by the department to the labours. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide T&P and adequate uniform to the labours.
