REPAIRS TO ROADS, ROADS MARKINGS, PAINTING AND ROAD FURNITURE UNDER THE AOR OF GE GOMANTAK.

Scarifying or picking graveled macadam or bituminous macadam road surfaces in area n exc 400 sqm depth exc 50 mm and n exc 100 mm removing unserviceable material to a distance exc 50 mtr but not exc 100 mtr and deposited where directed

Material and labour for 75mm thick (compacted thickness) Granite trap or basalt WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mmsize) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required

Material and labour for preparation of subsurface water bound macadam (WBM) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with broom and finally fanning the clean surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dust.

Material and labour for applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen (VG -10) with mechanical sprayer on WBM surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour Premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen grade VG-30 any penetration content @4% by weight of total mix laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and rolled to uniform smooth surface (consolidated thickness 75 mm average)

Material and labour for repair to pot holes any depth, exceeding 30mm deep and area not exceeding 1.0 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with bituminious primer at 5kg per 10 sqm, putting paving bitumen in premixed Bituminous macadam well rammed and sealed with binder 9.80 kg per 10 sqm blended with 0.09 cum of stone chipping of 0.63mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam binder and chippings) complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud, etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for applying evenly a tack coat/priming coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using paving bitumen (VG -10) with mechanical sprayer over black top surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen ( VG-30) as binder content by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and mechanical paver as approved by the GE, rolled and compacted using 8 to 10 Ton vibrator power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Job mix formula for the semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be obtained from the institutes specified in the particular specifications. (ii) In case, as per actual design mix, the binder content by weight of total mix is less than 5.5%, price adjustment shall be made as per average rate of all the purchase vouchers for bitumen pertaining to the work under this contract. If total binder content as per design mix is more than 5.5%, no price adjustment shall be made for the same.

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
