Drilling of Trial Bore Hole 300mm (12 inch) dia from ground level to 150 metre in any strata by ROTARY METHOD method as per IS : 2800 : 1979 (revised and amended) below ground level through any kind of strata soils/rocks, disposal of surplus soil within a distance of 100m, well ramming and stablizing of material, transportation of drilling Rig and other T&P required, keeping space for pea gravel packing in and including lowering and extraction of casing pipes of suitable thickness after lowering of designed assemble of EWR pipe complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- 1. ERW housing pipes shall be measured and paid saperately 2. Casing pipe alongwith direct rotary drill pipes with tools shall be arranged by the contractor and the same shall remain property of contractor after extraction 3. In case of non extraction of casing pipe during the course of drilling any type of mishappening, any type of fishing operation of failure of bore well the contractor will have no claim what so ever on this account. 4. Depending upon the availability of suitable water bearing strata, if drilling beyond 150 Mtr depth below ground level is required, drilling will be carried out only after written order is issured by GE. 5. The rate for trial bore beyond 150 metre depth, if ordered by GE depending upon the CGWB recommendation or on the basis of the Electrical logging report or resistivity report it shall be admissible at the quoted rate of this item. 6. Resistivity test shall be carried out by Geologist and report to be submitted before trial bore hole and cost for the same shall be included in the quoted rate by the contractor. 7. Cost of electrical logging deemed to be included in quoted rate by the contractor. 8. The verticality test of the tubewell structure shall be carried out by the contractor and the cost is deemed to the included in the quoted rate by the contractor. Contd to Srl item No 1.02

9. The contractor has to submit test results/report as per IS:2800(Part-II-1979(With latest amendments) as following:- (a) Results of the tubewell depth and water level measurements. (b) Results of development and drawdown test are to be given in tabular form as per relevant IS. (c) The verticality test report shall be given as per the relevant IS. 10. The housing/casing pipe shall be inserted only after certificate given by GE for successful trial bore hole.

Enlargement of borehole from 300mm to 500mm, from Ground Level to 150 mtrs. NOTES :- (i) The rate for development of trial bore beyond 150 Mtr depth, if ordered by GE depending upon the CGWB recommendation or the basis of the Electrical Logging Report, will be admissible at the rate of this Item. (ii) This note is applicable for Srl item No 2 verticality Test of the Tube-Well Structure shall be carried out by the contractor and the cost is deemed to be included in the item rate.

Supplying, assembling including lowering and fixing liner assembly or strainer etc in position (net effective length shall only be measured and paid) all as specified below :-

Mild steel ERW bevelled end pipe 300mm (12 inch) nominal bore having minimum 8 mm wall thickness confirming to IS:4270-2001 and all around welded with 03 Nos stiffeners of flat iron 75x8mm, 150 mm long, complete all as specified and as directed.

Mild steel ERW bevelled end slotted housing pipe 300mm (12 inch) nominal bore having minimum 8.38 mm wall thickness confirming to IS:4270-2001 having slot size of 1.6mmx75mm as per (IS:8110:2000) and all around welded with 03 Nos stifferers of flat iron 75x8mm, 150 mm long, complete all as specified and as directed.

Housing pipe clamps made of MS flat of size 100mmx12mm and 750mm long for 300mm (12 inch) bore pipe with suitable bolts, nuts and washers all as specified and as directed.

Supply and filling Pea gravel of Size 2mm to 6mm around the liner assembly from bottom to ground level including continuous watering during development all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and Fixixng Mild Steel Well Cap for (12 inch) 300mm bore made out of mild steel ERW 8mm thick threaded casing pipe complete, all as specified and as directed.

Development of tube well by means of pumping by Air compressor of minimum pressure 1400 CFM 350 psi. (compressor to be arranged by contractor at his own cost), until sand free and clear water upto 5 PPM is obtained at optimum yield complete all as specified and directed :-

First 24 hours of development (collectively)

Note :- The cost of the yield test by V Notch method and testing of water sample (chemical and biological) from Government approved Laboratory / Regional Research Laboratory to confirm the potability of water as per IS-10500-2012 shall be deemed to be included in the rates of Serial Item No '7 to 7.01' above and nothing extra from the Department shall be admissible on this account.

Supplying strata sample box made of Ist class soft wood (Deodar) with glazed shutter and pigeon holes for depth sample at the interval of every 3 metre and supplying of strata chart duly marked on 3 mm thick laminated sheet of size 4 inch X 3 inch giving complete details of display of installation, complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Fixing MS 300mm (12 inch) bail plug having minimum thickness 8 mm all as per IS:2800:1991 (With latest amendments) complete all as specified & as directed

Flat iron of size 50x6mm as centre guides of required size including welding to casing pipe complete all as specified & as directed

Construction of foundation of tube well of size 1.0m x 1.0m having 45mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (Using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) laid over 75mm thick PCC 1:3:6 type C-2 with GI pipe 80mm bore medium grade - 02 Nos embedded through out the block of suitable length with GI plug and socket fixed on end, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES FOR SRL ITEM NOs 1 to 11 The quantity considered in Srl Item Nos 1 to 11 as above are for 04 Nos borewell at different locations at Kaluchak and Ratnuchak areas.
