M&L for repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 Sq.m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth (depth of potholes not exc 30 mm), making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 Kg per 10 Sq.m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sq.m, blinded with 0.09 Cu.m of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) using paving bitumen VG-30.

Excavation over areas, not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in hard/ dense soil.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/ filling with exceeding 8 tonne but not exceeding 12 tonne power roller including filling in depressions which occur during rolling complete.

M&L for 150 mm (spread thickness) soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stone, inter stices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with exceeding 8 tonne but not exceeding 12 tonne power roller.

150 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM (in two layers of 75 mm thick each), with coarse aggregates of granite of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required with exceeding 8 tonne but not exceeding 12 tonne power roller.

M&L for preparing unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove loose dirts etc. and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 10 kg per 10 Sq.m using paving bitumen VG 30 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm and not exc 50 mm deep and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 10 kg per 10 sq.m using paving bitumen VG 30 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for premix bituminous, macadam laid and rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 4% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen. Note: i) For design purpose min. binder content was specified as 4% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not brought down under any circumstances. During design stage if binder content was exceeds 4% no extra payment shall be made to contractor for excess use of binder. ii) Levels to be taken (jointly by contractor and AGE) before and after laying of bituminous macadam.

Preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove loose dirts etc for unsurfaced water bound macadam etc.

M&L for applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 5 Kg per 10 Sq.m using paving bitumen VG 30.

M&L for bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content using paving bitumen of grade VG 30 penetration by weight of total mix laid using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted by using power vibrator roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note: For design purpose min. binder content was specified as 5.5% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not reduce under any circumstances. During design stage if binder content exceeds 5.5% no extra payment shall be made to contractor for excess use of binder.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete.
