Comprehensive maintenance for a period of twelve months of DG sets of capacity 40-50 KVA installed at various location by cleaning, Oiling,Greasing, topping, calibration, repairs to diesel engine and including replacement of spares parts like clamps, V- Belt of any size,pipe with fittings, check the level of coolant in radiator, repairs to leakage in radiator etc. Gaskets & Oil seals, servicing of the Water Pump, calibration of fuel injection pump,repairs of Self Starter, Alternator, Auto Voltage Regulator, Battery maintenance by topping up of electrolite solution, rectification of engine oil leakage and topping up of engine oil, replacement of unserviceable oil level tube provided on the fuel tank for checking of oil level (The same is to be calibrated and level marked on the tank), repair of wiring of control panel of DG set by replacement with suiatable size of copper wire including Repair/Replacement off toggle switch etc & connected accessories through Authorised Original Equipment Manufacturer's Service Centre Engineers or through OEM Certified Agencies as approved by GE, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES:- (Applicable for BOQ Serial Item No. 1 & 2 here in before) (i) The Contractor shall provide the following comprehensive services arising out of wear and tear of the normal running of DG Sets (ii) Preventive and Corrective Maintenance : The authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified agencies shall visit the site once in a month for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on all the units installed at site. This includes maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and electronic parts / sub-assemblies. The preventive maintenance report will be as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer's instructions and as specified in Particular Specification. The Contractor may claim payment on monthly basis. In that case the payment shall be made with pro-rata basis on quoted rates. (iii) Breakdown Maintenance : The Authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies will carry out all breakdown maintenance after receiving information (written or oral) from GE Jorhat officials or their representatives, The OEM's authorised service representative or OEM certified agencies will carry out the required repairs of the units and appraise GE,Engineer-in-Charge and JE the status of the break down repair at site. No payment shall be made on account of any breakdown service during comprehensive maintenence period.

(iv) The Service Engineer will be called in case of any breakdown and the same shall be attended within 24 Hours of lodging of complaint, failing which a penal recovery of Rs.500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred Only) per day till such time the unit is attended and complaint is resolved,will be recovered from the outstanding dues to the Contractor. (v) Cost of minor items like teflon tape, metal washers, fibre/rubber washers, screws, small nuts & bolts and like shall be deemed to be inclusive of the quoted rate. (vi) Spares required for replacement of defective ones will be measured and paid seperately under Prime Cost Sum (vii) The Contractor shall maintain service reports for all visits & breakdown visits & copy of the same will be submitted every month to the Engineer in Charge.

(iv) OEMs Authorised Service Centre Engineers or OEMs Certified Agencies shall visit once in a month for routine inspection and general maintenance. (v) The Service Engineer will be called in case of any breakdown and the same shall be attended within 24 Hours of lodging of complaint, failing which a penal recovery of Rs.200.00 (Rupees Two Hundred Only) per day till such time the unit is attended and complaint is resolved,will be recovered from the outstanding dues to the Contractor. (vi) Cost of minor items like insulating tape,gland packing materials, metal washers, fibre/rubber washers, screws, small nuts & bolts and like shall be deemed to be inclusive of the quoted rate. (vii) Spares required for replacement of defective ones will be measured and paid seperately under Prime Cost Sum (viii) The Contractor shall maintain service reports for all visits & breakdown visits & copy of the same will be submitted for every quarter to the Engineer in Charge.

Demolition of cement concrete (un reinforced) in ground floors and paving n. exc. 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as directed.

Materials and Labour for rolled mild steel,Fe 410-W (Grade E-250) Quality-A in pump set foundation channel,made out of ISMC 100 of length 1200 mm including provision of 04 Nos mild steel screw bolts (machine made), with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other, or screwed both ends, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut, diameter of shank 16 mm, length of bolt 150 mm grouted in PCC (1:2:4) type B1 using 20 mm graded aggregate bed blocks of size 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm ,and including taking down carefully existing unserviceable foundation channel,complete all as specified and directed.

Prime Cost Sum. The prime cost to be used as directed by the Accepting Officer vide Condition 1 (v) and 5 of IAFW-2249 (General Condition of Contracts) forming part of the tender documents. (a) Provide a prime cost of Rs 5,00,000.00 for supply only of spare parts suitable for various capacities of DG Sets, Pump Sets & Dosing Pumps and Rewinding of Electric Motors/Alternators after dismantling and based on findings of the actual requirements of spares/burnt out windings for rewinding, through a BOO convened by the Accepting Officer.The spares shall procured directly from the OEMs or their aurhorised distributor/dealer as approved by GE. Rewinding of electric motors/alternators shall be done through authorised Service Engineer of OEM or OEM Certified Agencies as approved by GE. (b) Bidder's/Contractor's quoted amount shall be inclusive of his overhead and profit and including all taxes and insert amount to cover all. The Bidder's/Contractor's is to quote lump sum amount under Column 6 covering all the aspects mentioned here in before, representing (%) percentage under Column 9, Above/Below (+ or - denomination) the Prime Cost Sum insered by MES under Column 5. However,the quoted amount under Column 6 shall not exceed 15% (Fifteen Percentage) of Prime Cost Sum insered by MES under Column 5. In case,the Bidder's/Contractor's quoted amount is in excess of 15% of the estimated amount, the same shall be restricted to 15% (Fifteen Percentage) and the amount quoted shall be corrected accordingly to work out the contract sum.
