The chemical to be used as insecticides for the treatment shall be CHLOROPYRIPHOS 20% (or) 50% EC and the application shall be dilute one part of chemical 20% or 50% EC with 19 or 49 parts of water to get 1% emulsion and strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's specification.
CEMENT CONCRETE & REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE WORKS
Providing and laying in position ready mixed plain cement concrete, All works upto plinth level with cement content as per approved design mix and manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for plain cement concrete work, including pumping of R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying and curing, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing, including cost of curing, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS : 9103 to accelerate/ retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of the Engineer - in - charge. M-10 grade plain cement concrete (cement content considered @ 220 kg/cum).
Providing and laying in position brick jelly concrete 1:3:6 (1cement: 3 coarse sand: 6 brick jelly concrete 20mm nominal size) in sunken floor including the cost of centering and shuttering at all heights after entire completion of laying pipes, sanitary fittings etc., Rate shall include for preparatin of surface, protecting the laid pipes and sanitary fittings, finishing the surface smoth to receive the top coat of water proofing application etc., complete and all as directed.

Centering and shuttering for getting neat exposed concrete finish (no external plastering will be allowed for RCC work) for all RCC/PCC works with film coated plywood shuttering board or using steel wall form work including strutting, propping etc., and removing for all RCC works. The contractor shall obtain approval from Engineer-in-Charge for the form work design & methodology proposed to be adopted in the work.

FLOORING WORKS

INTERIOR PAINT

EXTERIOR PAINT
Finishing walls with 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489:2004, Alkali & fungal resistance, dirt resistance exterior paint of required shade (Company Depot Tinted) with silicon additives. Fresh work including complete surface preparation, as appropriate base (primer) coat and top two or more coats. Applying exterior paint of approved colour, make, brand and product at the approved rate of surface coverage of painting (As per Annexure A.1.1). The exterior paint shall be applied over dry surface after through surface preparation. The work shall be executed as per the detailed specifications and special conditions mentioned in the Annexure 1. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of charges towards all labour, material, transport, scaffolding, safety arrangements, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), tools and plants etc. The Paint manufacturer shall inspect the work in every stage, submit inspection / field test report, certify the product / application and give 10 year Guarantee
Finishing walls with textured exterior paint of required shade . Providing & Applying high quality acrylic modified resin based texture with anti-algae and UV resistance properties to be applied as intermediate finish in desired pattern (as approved by IITM) @ 43.04 kgs/10 sqm to form film of 1- 1.5 mm thickness after thorough surface preparation, followed by top coating with two or more coats of Premium Acrylic Smooth exterior paint with Silicone additives of required shade (exterior paint of approved colour, make, brand and product at the approved rate of surface coverage of painting as per Annexure A.1.1). The Paint manufacturer shall inspect the work in every stage, submit inspection / field test report, certify the product / application and give 10 year Guarantee.

Supplying and fixing rolling shutters of approved make, made of required size M.S. laths, interlocked together through their entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks, mounted on specially designed pipe shaft with brackets, side guides and arrangements for inside and outside locking with push and pull operation complete, including the cost of providing and fixing necessary 27.5 cm long wire springs manufactured from high tensile steel wire of adequate strength conforming to IS: 4454 – part 1 and M.S. top cover of required thickness for rolling shutters including two more coat of synthetic enamel paint under one caot suitable of primer etc . 80x1.25mm M.S. laths with 1.25 mm thick top cover - RS1 - 5400x3880mm & RS2 - 3000 x 3880mm

Supply and fixing of uPVC (Unplasticised PolyVinyl Chloride) window frames having 3 tracks where 3 glassed shutter and 2 mosquited net shutter. The outer frame of the window shall be made of uPVC Profile Section of size 112 MMx 60MM having outer wall thickness of 2.3MM (+/- 0.3MM) with 3 box multi-chamber construction and provided with galvanized steel reinforcement for entire sections, with wall thickness of 1.2mm. Sliding glass shutter shall be made of 66MMx42MMx50MM having outer wall thickness of 2.3MM (+/- 0.3MM) and provided with galvanized steel reinforcement , with wall thickness of 1.2mm. The Sliding mesh shutter shall be made of 66MMx42MMx50MM and provided with galvanized steel reinforcement at wherever required, with wall thickness of 1.2mm. The mesh shutter shall be used to fit SS mesh for fly-proof with 0.28mm thickness & 1.5mm aperture. All the corners and joints of the frame & sash shall be mitred cut & fusion welded without any mechanical joint. All welded joints are to be neatly trimmed & feature grooved/raised nib finish so as to make the finished products free from all sharp edges & burrs. System shall have adequate drainage mechanism to permit the escape of water from horizontal member beneath each sealed unit. System shall be provided with suitable uPVC beading for glazing of size 24.5MM x 16MM and interlocking profile of size 45MM x 36MM with 6mm thick plain glass of SAINTGOBIAN (single), duly cut at correct degree & fitted with TPV gaskets. Windows has to be provided with Varity of security devise like crescent lock, wheel etc of ASSAABLOY / HETICH as per the requirement, compliant with relevant specification and as directed by department personnel. The complete window shall be fixed into the prefinished opened places, by drilling & fixing through the outer frame using high quality fasteners & silicon sealant is applied to fill up the gap between wall & window frame for leak-proof installation, and completion.

Roof treatment - : Providing and laying PU membrane (moist cured) over the existing terrace including providing Khura and Gola, laying the heat reflective tile over the membrane etc., complete. The work should be carried out involving the following items, sequences and specifications. a) Polymer modified mortar :- Resurfacing of the substrate with Sika Latex (or MIXBOND SBR of FABCHEM, Rheomix 141 of BASF or Nitobond SBR of FOSROC) polymer modified cement mortar (Cement: sand ratio : 1:3 with a Water (Mixed with Sika Latex) cement ratio of 0.4-0.45), with a minimum thickness of 20 mm, to get a levelled surface. Providing and laying water proofing treatment to vertical and horizontal surfaces of depressed portions of W.C., kitchen and the like consisting of: i) Ist course of applying cement slurry @ 4.4 kg/sqm mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS 2645 in recommended proportions including rounding off junction of vertical and horizontal surface. ii) IInd course of 20 mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement :3 coarse sand) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportion including rounding off junction of vertical and horizontal surface. iii) IIIrd course of applying blown or residual bitumen applied hot at 1.7 kg. per sqm of area. iv) IVth course of 400 micron thick PVC sheet. LIFT PIT WATER PROOFING
Providing and applying 3 coats of crystalline waterproofing slurry MasterSeal 501 of BASF make containing highly active, deep penetrative, reactive catalysts and shall have a mix density of 2.0 kg/litre. The product shall be applied in 3 coats one over the other at a time gap of 4 to 6 hours depending on the climatic conditions, including curing of the same for at least 5 days fog spraying water. Rate is inclusive of material and labour. The work shall include providing Covings/Chamfers at junction of slab and wall with 75 mm X 75 mm fillet with cement sand mortar 1:2 mixed with polymer modifier of styrene-butadiene co-polymer latex liquid MasterEmaco 141 of BASF make, produced from styrene and butadiene by high pressure emulsion polymerisation @ 5 L per bag cement. The product shall have minimum butadiene content of 40% by weight. The system shall be protected with a protective mortar. The protective mortar shall be done with liquid integral waterproofing compond MasterPel 707 of BASF make. The coated surface should be protected with 1:3CM admixed with lignosulphonate polymer based, waterproofing cum plasticing liquid integral waterproofer at a dosage of 100 ml per 50 kg of cement and shall comply with IS: 2645-2003. Rate shall be for supply and application including preparation of surface by mechanical upgrading to remove all loose mortar and laitance, oil, grease etc. and washing the surface with water to get neat surface, finishing, curing, scaffolding, waterproofing chemicals, wastage, conveyance, tools and plants, mixing device and gauge, Shuttering etc.as complete with all respects complying with relevant manufacturer's specification as directed by the department Engineer-in-charge.
Temporary Barricading
Providing and erecting temporary barricading around the site to a height of 6m. The G.I corrugated sheet of 0.35mm thick shall be fixed to the frame work made out 50mm dia M.S. class "B" pipe for veticals struts placed at about 3m c/c with required bracing using 40mm dia M.S pipe placed in five as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. The rate also includes charges for providing painting and lettering, arrangement for traffic diversion such as traffic signals during construction at site for day and night, glow lamps, reflective signs, marking, flags, caution tape as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor should also maintain the barricade in good condition during the entire period of construction, any damages / defects noticed shall be attended within 24 hours of notice. The rate includes its cost of convenyanece of all required materials to work site, erecting, cost of J bolts, washers, cement concrete bed of size 45 x 45 x 75 cm in CC 1:2:4, painting, labour, materials, equipments, maintenance for damages and removing & disposing the same after completion the work . The barricading shall not be removed without prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge. The barricading provided shall remain to be the property of the contractor on completion of the work).

RACEWAYS
Supply and Laying of 100 x 45mm Aluminium truncking box of 1.6mm thick and should be earthed with 14 SWG bare copper wire and bond firmly to the junction box with hardware as required. Areas where the hollow portion of two raceway meets, both ends have to be connected with 14 SWG earth wire to maintain continuity. Intersecting points also to be connected through junction boxes.
Necessary cutting chipping works for laying the above raceway including closing the same with strong plastering work. Places where 3 or more raceways are laid they shall be bound firmly with chicken mesh & masonry work done before making the floor strong, smooth finish & in level with the normal level. Broken rubble to be disposed as instructed.

LT Cable trench - Excavation and backfilling of the sand trench along the side of the road. The trench shall be 750mm deep 450mm wide.The bottom shall be filled one layer of 75mm fine river sand and cables shall be laid on top of it. On the laid cables one more layer of 75mm thick river sand , underground utility marking tape (ESB marker red color PVC tape shall be laid on top of it without any gap. The trench shall be backfilled, watered and rammed to suit original level.
EXTERNAL STRUCTURAL GLAZING
Providing and fixing of structural glazing (semi unitised system – all panels fixed) using 15 microns colour anodized Jindal/equivalent aluminium mainframe of size 150x50x2mm with 144x44x2mm GI Infill for intermediate verticals, 72x55x2mm section for horizontals, designed to withstand wind pressure upto 200 kg/sq.m. using necessary aluminium/GI angle cleats with slots for adjusting plumb, fixed to the RCC slabs with M10 expansion fasteners. The glazed panels will be made using 40x42x1.2mm section for subframe, glazed with 6mm thick ST 767 (Blue Ray) / ST 467 (Emerald glaze) reflective heat strengthened glass using double side cross linked polyethylene spacer tape and structural sealant (GE ultraglaze SSG 4000 or Dow sil 795) in such a way as to transfer the dead weight of the glass on to the mainframe so as to avoid undue stress on the structural sealant. The glazed panels after suitable curing in dust free environment will be fixed on to mainframe from the exterior (this system enables easy replacement of glass in future (if any breakage) from the outsideespecially in spandrel areas). The grooves (12 to 16mm) will be closed with weather grade silicone sealant Dow Corning 789 (or) GE silpruf. We will ensure that the whole system uses corrosion resistant hardwares, is totally weather proof, permits necessary thermal expansion/contraction and is able to withstand relevant windloads.

DISMANTLING AND DEMOLISHING
Credit to department towards dismantled materials taken by the contractor from dismantling the existing CFI building including the cost of dismantling, salvage value of material available from dismantling and cost of disposal of unservicable materials The plinth area of existing CFI building is 1600 sqm (Approximately). The building designed as workshop building at an average height of 15m (Approximately). The roof is curved shape RCC roof slab covered with AC sheet roofing .The existing flooring has ceramic glazed industrial tile flooring. The windows are having glazed windows made of teak wood frames The Annex building roofing is galvalume sheets roofing with steel tubular truss work. All debris obtained from dismantling after taking away the salvage materials shall be removed from the site and disposed off outside the IITM Campus.(The agencies shall inspect the existing workshop(Cfi) building and assess the cost of dismantling, salvage value of material available from dismantling including cost of disposal of unservicable materials and accordingly quote the rates as an over all percentage for all Civil works including dismantling).
