WIDENING OF PORTION OF ROAD FROM SFTS GYMNASIUM TO BK-19 UNDER AGE (I) DALHOUSIE

Amount

Surface excavation not exceeding 30cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated materials/ soils, not exceeding 50mtrs and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50mtrs, complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep and area not exceeding 400sqm all as specified and directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, including filling in soft spots, depressions, etc. which occur during rolling (for portion coming in cutting/original ground only) to required camber and gradient, etc. including watering before or during rolling, all complete all as specified and as directed .

100 mm thick (spread thickness) soling with broken or quarried stones of range 100mm to 50mm, interstices filled, surfaces formed and rolled with power roller 8/12 tonne and consolidated to required gradient, complete all as specified.

Water bound macaadam 75mm thick (Compacted thickness) laid with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63mm to 40 mm size) using granite, trap or basalt of best quality locally available spread and rolled with 10 to 12 tonnes power roller, consolidated to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified.

Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 7.5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface complete all as specified and directed.

Providing premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 50mm) with 4% binder content of paving bitumen by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot mix plant, transported and shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller.

Preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc., applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen at 5 kg per 10 sq metre of road surface, laying bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% bitumen binder content by weight of total mix using 20mm crushed stone aggregate, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne vibrator power roller, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be mixed in automatic temperature controlled hot mixing plant, transported and premix carpet shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver, rolled with vibrator roller.

Providing precast cement concrete 1:2:4,type B-1, using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in edging of road (Road edge), kerb stone, with plain fair faces, including chamfers, weatherings, throating etc and like; and setting in cement mortar 1:4 complete with joints to match, complete all as specified and directed.

Marking lines, dashes, arrows etc of width 10 cms on black top/ concrete surfaces of road using hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint 2.5 mm thick (white/ gold, yellow) mixed with radium glass beads @ 250gm/ Sqm with automatic machine to provide reflectivity and night vision (approx temp being 200°C at the time of laying) including cleaning the surface of all dirt, dust and other foreign material complete all as specified. Note:- Road marking lines at the centre of road shall not be continuous, whereas the lines at outer sides of road shall be continuous i.e in one length.
