COMPLETION OF INCOMPLETE WORK AGAINST REPAIR/MAINT OF EARTHING AND BUILDING LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM AT AF STATION DINJAN UNDER GE (AF) MOHANBARI.

Taking down old unserviceable Earthing pit of any type with accessories including removing of demolished material from work site at any distance out side MD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for earthing with galvanised earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick, burried directly in ground vertically to a depth of not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level connected to galvanised iron strip 25 mm x 4 mm thick, by means of nut, bolts and washers made out of galvanised iron mild steel and 50 mm dia GI pipe "light grade" for protection of earth lead and connected to control board or transformer neutral earth or as directed including earthing pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, pre-cast reinforced cover with MS XPM Jalli, RCC 1:1.5:3 cover slab of size 300 mm x 300 mm x 100 mm thick, with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar 20 mm dia GI pipe light grade for watering funnels , wire mesh and provided charcoal or coke of alternative layers of 15 cm including necessary earth work complete shown in electrical plated No 3 and testing complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE : (i) The earthing pit should be provided with proper earth pit and pit cover. Pit cover should be painted with synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and pit number to be marked on a GI plate above 45 cm from GL as per colour code followed in AF Station. (ii) If the desired earth registance is not achive during testing as per IS the complete earthing shall be carried out by the contractor at his own cost and no extra claim shall be admissable.

Material and labour for Chemical earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode of size 90cmx60cmx5.0mm buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below the normal ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5m below normal GL connected to copper earth strip 32x6mm,all as shown on electrical plate No. 4 of SSR Part - 1, using 5 Nos alternate layers of charcol and salt crystal and a final layer of Magnesium sulphate of 5 cm thickness to be provided and connected to earth test point including 25 mm dia GI med grade pipe for watering with funnel and wire meshed and 63 mm dia GI light grade pipe for protection of earth strip and providing water supply connection from nearest water supply point and testing complete all as specified and as directed. Note : (i) The unit rate shall deemed included for earth work in hard / dense soil, PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 chamber, RCC (1:1.5:3) cover 50mm thick reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars @ 150mm c/c both ways, funnel with watering pipe 25mm dia medium grade, GI protection pipe light grade 63mm dia, and wire mesh complete in addition to item No. 1 (a) to (e) of preamble (notes) under sub - heading earthing, specified on SI. page No. 422 of SSR Part-II. (ii) The earthing pit should be provided with proper earth pit and pit cover. Material and labour for earthing with copper earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick, burried directly in ground vertically to a depth of not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level connected to copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm as earthing lead means of nut, bolts and washers made out of galvanised ireon mild steel and 40 mm dia GI pipe "light grade" for protection of earth lead and connected to contoll board or main switch or as directed by Engr -in-Charge including earthing pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, pre-cast reinforced cover with MS XPM Jalli, RCC 1:1.5:3 cover slab of size 300 x 300 x 100 mm with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar 20 mm dia GI pipe light grade for watering funnels , wire mesh and provided charcoal or coke of alternative layers of 15 cm including necessary earth work complete shown in electrical plated No 3 and tesing complete all as specified and as directed. Supply and fixing in repair for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required for 32 mm x 6mm thick, copper strip using porcelain clit/post insulators, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out of old GI Tubing of any grade and size in trenches/floor/fixed to pole for earth protection complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing GI tubing, 32 mm dia bore, light grade with all fittings laid in trenches or fixed to wall including taking down of existing pipes and removal from site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, size 75mm x 75mm x 25 mm thick, drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8 mm dia. 25 mm long hexagonal head screws, including MS box 2 mm thick of suitable size for protection of test point terminal, including dismantling of old unserviceable test point complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for cutting existing steel tubing for additional/ alteration (each cut measured) of size 50 mm dia complete all as directed.

Material and labour for screwing existing steel tubing 50mm dia for taking new branch connection complete all as directed.

Supply and fixing GI tubing, 20 mm dia bore, medium grade with all fittings laid in trenches including taking down of existing pipes and removal from site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing bib tap, self closing type of cast iron or malleable cast iron, galvanised screw for fixing to iron pipe of size 20 mm dia including taking down of existing bib tap and removal from site complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth for taking out/laying of under ground cable and getting out in saft/loose strata complete all as specified and as directed

Returning filling in including spreading watering levelling and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and as directed

Removing surplus excavated soil nexc 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed

Material and labour for checking of existing old earthing pits and lightening conductors and repairs/replacement of GI/Aluminium strips where found corroded and repairs to pits and testing of earth resistance value and pouring salt/charcol for obtaining earth value below 5 ohm complete all as specified and as directed

Supply and fixing in repairs Air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long fixed on copper strip for earth conductivity to ground complete all as specified and as directed

Material and labour for cover of earth pit (Earthing using MS plate of 600x600x6 mm thick having earth strip of 25x4 mm thick as mentioned in item no-02) having RCC 1:2:4 as in precast cover slab of size 300 mm x 300 mm x 100 mm thick, with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar. Note-Pit cover should be painted with synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and pit number to be marked on a GI plate above 45 cm from GL as per colour code followed in AF station.

Material and labour for cover of earth pit (Earthing using MS plate of 600x600x6 mm thick having earth strip of 32x6 mm thick as mentioned in item no-03) having RCC 1:2:4 as in precast cover slab of size 300 mm x 300 mm x 100 mm thick, with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar. Note-Pit cover should be painted with synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and pit number to be marked on a GI plate above 45 cm from GL as per colour code followed in AF station.

Material and labour for complete earth pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1, having pre-cast reinforced cover with MS XPM jalli, RCC 1:1.5:3 cover slab of size 300 mm x 300 mm x 100 mm thick, with one handle made out of 8 mm dia round bar (Earthing using MS plate of 600x600x6 mm thick having earth strip of 25x4 mm thick as mentioned in item no-02) Note-Pit cover should be painted with synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and pit number to be marked on a GI plate above 45 cm from GL as per colour code followed in AF station.

Material and labour for test of earth resistance. Complete all as specified and directed.
