Removing and Cleaning of Expansion/ Dummy/ construction joints with steel hook and cleaning dust/dirt and loose material with wire brush and air blower including tools and machinery all complete, As per direction and satisfaction of engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying backer rod of size 25 mm dia in the joints of 20 mm width all complete as per specification & direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying backer rod of size 15 mm dia in the joints of 10 mm width all complete as per specification & direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Filling Expansion/Dummy/Construction joints with polysulphide joint sealing compound (confirming to grade BS:5212,Part-I,1990) of approved make including painting the sides of slabs with approved primer and filling the groove 10 to 40mm width x 10 to 20mm depth as per specification with specified grade of sealing compound after inserting the backer rod, including providing bond breaking tape on top surface to give a neat finish to the sealant, all complete as per specification and direction of Engineer-in Charge. Note: For purpose of payment, quantity (Length x Width x Depth) of polysulphide sealant only will be measured

Preparing the damaged edges of expansion, construction and dummy joints all along the concrete panels : A. Proper making of edges by cutting, chipping, removing and cleaning all unsound/weak concrete material either at one side or both side of joints of pavement up to required width and depth as per specification/I.S code or direction of Engineer-in Charge. B. Making edges of joint either at one side or both side with High strength fast setting cementitious grout (40MPa in 24 hours and 70MPa in 28 day) after application of Primer of Sika,Fosroc,STP,BASF,Pidilite or as per approve make, Accept traffic after 4 hours after pouring. Primming by Nylon stiffen brush, use shuttering board into joints for finishing as per the size suiting different sizes and finishing/texturing top surface as per specification etc. all complete with materials and machineries as per specification and direction of Engineer-in Charge.

Re-surfacing of rough concrete surface panel by applying Fiber Reinforced Thixotropic Repair Mortar Sika,Fosroc,STP or as per approve make (High strength (20MPa in 24 hours and 50MPa in 28 days) structural concrete repair mortar for self leveling and patching) followed by primer coat ( Primer of Sika/STP/Fosroc/BASF/Pidilite or equivalent make). A. Surface preparation : Rough concrete panel surface shall be cleaned properly by mechanical means and use blower to remove all type of dirt, dust, oil & any contaminants to make the strong bond. B. Resurfacing of the damaged top surface by procurement and application of the appropriate construction chemicals in the existing composite pavements of the without violation of the NOTAM Rules and as per specification and direction of Engineer-in Charge.

Repairing of cracked slab by stampling procedure consisting of marking the position of vertical holes of 30mm dia at a distance of 225 mm from the crack at a spacing of 600 mm from centre to centre, drilling the holes of 30 mm dia at a miximum depth of 150 mm (D/2) there after cutting the slit of 30mm widths of a depth of 100 mm (D/2) followed by removal of debris and cleaning the holes and slit, roughening the sides of holes and slits by sand paper, inserting the steel bars of (grade Fe 415) 16 mm dia and filling the holes and slit with an epoxy resin -based bonding system of approved make such as Sika, Fosroc, STP, Pidilide, BASF upto 10 mm above the top surface of steel bar. Above this level nonshrinkable fast setting mortar shall be filled up to the top level of PQC after applying epoxy bonding agent at the sides of the groove. A groove shall be made along the line of cracks displaying spalling and filled with fine epoxy mortar all complete as per specification and direction of Engineer-in Charge.
