Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/ excavation, including rock excavation, shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August, 2004 and clause 16.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner including arrangement of dumping site, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for structures in all depths as per drawing and technical specification for Rural road August 2004 Clause 305.1 specifications (latest edition) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal in all leads and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materials. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion damage to hill side water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades, side slopes, width, camber super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable cut materials in specified manner trimming filling of unevenness blind edge and finishing of the road to specified dimension or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. if the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring seepage rain and other causes it shall be removed by suitable diversion bailing out or dewatering as directed and the area of the foundation or embankment shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of excavation shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost in all cases.

Construction of sub grade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 including haulaging of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing laying spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 KN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding materials to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading I as per Technical Specification Clause 405 including haulaging of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Providing laying spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 KN static roller in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening/binding materials to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density as per Technical Specification Clause 405 including haulaging of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge. WBM Grading-II

Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) M/S Indian Oil Corporation, Total Oil India Ltd. Or HINCOL using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.30 Kg per sqm. on the prepared dry and hungry bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical specification clause 503. within all leads and lifts and as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing, laying and rolling of open graded premix surfacing of 20mm. Thickness composed of 13.2mm to 5.6mm aggregate using penetration grade bitumen VG-10 to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 KN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type B as per technical specification Clause 508. within all leads and lifts and as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous using penetration grade bitumen 80/100 surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type B as per technical specification Clause 510 case-II Type B including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge. VG-10.

Providing and laying of Interlocking Concrete Block Pavement having thickness 80mm as per drawings and Technical Specification Clause 1504 including haulaging of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge. VG-10.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/reinforced cement in open foundation complete as per drawing and technical specification clause 802,803,1202 and 1203 PCC grade M-15 nominal mix 1:2½:5 (One cement isto two and half sand isto five graded stone aggregate) and curing complete including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying cement concrete M-10 nominal mix 1:3:6 (One cement: Three sand: six graded stone 40mm (Forty millimeter) nominal size) for plain/reinforced concrete in foundations and plinths or similar works complete as per drawings and technical specifications for rural road clause 802,803,1202& 1203 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone masonry work in cement mortar in sub-structure complete as per drawing and technical specifications Clauses 702,704,1202& 1204. Coursed Rubble Masonry (2nd sort) in cement mortar 1:6 (One cement : six sand) and curing complete including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm dia GI wire conforming to IS:303.33 and IS:4826 in 100mm x 100mm mesh(woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 Kg. each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301 including haulaging of material in all leads, lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Reinforced cement concrete M15 grade kilometer stone/local stone of standard design as per IRC:8 fixing in position including painting and printing, etc. as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1703.

Providing and fixing of semi reflective cautionary, mandatory and informatory sign board as per IRC:67 made of 1.5mm thick, MS Sheet duly stove white colour in front and gray colour on back with red reflective border of 65mm width and required letters and figures with reflective tape engineering grade as per Clause 1701.3.9 of MORD for Rural Roads of required shade and colour supported and welded on 47mm × 47mm × 12 SWG sheet tube firmly fixed to the ground by mean of properly designed foundations with M-15 grade cement concrete 450×450×600mm, 600mm below ground level as per approved drawing Clause 1701.2.2. (i) 600mm equilateral & triangle

Providing and erecting direction and place identification retro-reflectorised sign as per IRC:67 made of encapsulated lens type reflective sheeting vide Clause 1701.2.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 2mm thick with area not exceeding 0.9 sqm supported on a mild steel single angle iron post 75×75×6mm firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M-15 grade cement concrete 450 × 450 × 600mm, 600mm below ground level as per approved drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1701.

Routine Maintenance after completion of construction work as per terms and condition of bid document that is 4 (vi) of contract data to general condition of contract and technical specifications of Ministry of Rural Development for rural roads August 2004 (Two Thousand Four) for rural roads including hauling/ carriage of all labour equipment and materials to various locations through all modes of transportations in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
