Sweeping and maintaining of Roads, Auction Platform, Site Administrative Office, 11KV Sub-Station area, Nagoorar Thottam Low level Wharf and Cleaning/Removal of Garbage at Sea Shore, Open Land and Floating Materials at Water spread Area in CFH

Sweeping and maintaining of Roads, Auction Platform, Site Administrative Office, 11KV Sub-Station area, Net Mending Sheds, Nagoorar Thottam Low level Wharf and wherever required at Chennai Fishing Harbour in neat and tidy condition except on Sundays and Holidays by scraping, collecting and removing all the dust particles, collecting the tea cups, plastic papers, garbage, waste materials, Road side weeds, etc., and disposing the same to nearby Garbage Bins or loading to garbage transporting Carts/trucks including supply of cleaning tools, equipments, materials, etc., complete. Note: 1. As the department rate includes cost of cleaning tools, equipments and materials required for sweeping work. Hence, the tenderer has to quote the rate including all cleaning tools, equipments and materials for one month (The details of the cleaning tools, equipments and materials to be supplied by the contractor are stated in page No. 75 of Tender Document under Part II -Specification of Materials of Section-III). 2. Total area to be cleaned daily is 28460Sq.m, which shall be shown to Department Junior Engineer after Sweeping. The non cleaning area will be deducted from the original area and accordingly deductions will be made in Running Bills. 3. Minimum 10Nos. of cleaning labours to be engaged for the above work including minimum providing of 2 Nos. of Male cleaning labours. 4. Age of the labours engaged for the work shall be below 55 years and child labour is not permitted to carry out the work as per Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act 1986. For confirming the age of the labour, valid Aadhaar Card proof to be submitted in advance to Department Site Engineer. 5. If required, sweeping and cleaning work will have to be carried out anywhere in the Chennai Fishing Harbour as directed at site and accordingly original scope of cleaning area will be adjusted. i.e. the total area will be limited to 28460Sq.m. 6. During, VIP inspection or Minister’s programme sweeping and cleaning work may have to be carried out as directed at site depending on the programme schedule. 7. The contractor shall submit the working labourers name list before commencement of contract and in order to ensure effective cleaning in Fishing Harbour, no changes shall be made from the enrolment name list of labourers submitted by the contractor during this contract tenure without a valid reason. 8. In order to ensure payment of Minimum Wages to the labourers, the contractor should submit the monthly labourers wages settlement form/ statement and also a copy of pass book entry of the labourers to the Department Junior Engineer on or before 10th of every month without fail. 9. The contractor (or) contractor's authorized supervisor should extract the work from the sweeping labourers in all respects during all working days from morning 08.00am to 05.00pm.

Cleaning/removal of Garbage at Sea Shore, Open Land and Floating materials at water spread area and wherever required and disposing the same to nearby Garbage Bins or loading to garbage transporting Carts/trucks in Chennai Fishing Harbour except on Sundays and Holidays including supply of cleaning tools, equipments, materials, etc., complete. Note: 1. As the department rate includes cost of cleaning tools, equipments and materials required for Cleaning/ removal of Garbage and floating materials. Hence, the tenderer has to quote the rate including all cleaning tools, equipments and materials for one month (The details of the cleaning tools, equipments and materials to be supplied by the contractor are stated in page No. 76 of Tender Document under Part II -Specification of Materials of Section-III). 2. Minimum 8Nos. of Male cleaning labours to be engaged for the above work and at least 2 Labours should know Swimming as Garbage removal is to be done in the water spread area also adjacent to Wharf, Jetties, Breakwaters,etc. 3. Age of the labours engaged for the work shall be below 50 years and child labour is not permitted to carry out the work as per Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act 1986. For confirming the age of the labour, valid Aadhaar Card proof to be submitted in advance to Department Site Engineer. 4. As the work involves removal of Garbage from water spread area also, the Junior Engineer is at liberty to send back the labour who is not physically fit enough to carry out the work. 5. If required, Garbage and cleaning work will have to be carried out anywhere in the Chennai Fishing Harbour as directed at site. 6. During, VIP inspection or Minister’s programme cleaning/ removal work may have to be carried out as directed at site depending on the programme schedule. 7.
