Manning and operation of Central Air Conditioning Plant of any type and any capacity at Army telephone exchange in old cantt, in shift of continuous duration of eight hours during 1st shift from 0600 hours to 1400 hours with one skilled refrigerator mechanic including Sundays and gazetted holidays including carrying out daily / weekly / fortnightly / monthly maintenance, complete all as specified and directed.

Manning and operation of Central Air Conditioning Plant of any type and any capacity at Army telephone exchange in old cantt, in shift of continuous duration of eight hours during 3rd shift from 2200 hours to 0600 hours with one skilled refrigerator mechanic including Sundays and gazetted holidays including carrying out daily / weekly / fortnightly / monthly maintenance, complete all as specified and directed.

NOTE (for Serial No. 1.00 to 3.00 here-in-before):- 1. The contractor shall employ the skilled refrigerator mechanic having “ITI certificate” from the Govt / Govt Recognized Private College having minimum 02 Years experience as operator / mechnic for maintaining AC Plant. 2. The contractor shall provide all necessary stationery for records. 3. The contractor shall employ the operator / refrigerator mechanic / AC mechanic / trades man / supervisor only after receipt of thier antecedents from the concerned Police authorities.. 4. In case, contractor fails to employ the duty personnel in any of the shift he shall be liable to bear the recovery @ double the quoted rate per shift and No payment shall be made for that shift. 5. Maint period of AC plants shall not be deducted from manning and operation period of 8 hours. 6. All operator / electrician / mechanic shall be well equipped with tool kit, hand gloves, safety gear all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. 7. Necessary log sheet / attendance register and other routine records as instructed by Engineer-in Charge, shall be supplied and maintained by the contractor. 8. Minor parts / materials required for replacement due to defectiveness / normal wear and tear, shall deemed to be included in unit quoted rates. 9. Fixing charges of materials measured shall be deemed to include in unit quoted rates. 10. Electricity supply required for operation shall be issued by department to contractor free of cost.

NOTE Contd... 11 The contractor shall deploy one experienced supervisor with adequate experience in electric / refrigeration / airconditoning field for supervision and taking instructions from Engineer-in-charge / JE regarding the activity of Schedule maintenance and issue of required store and the cost of deployment of supervisor shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. 12. All the item retrieved shall be returned to AGE E&M Old Cantt Allahabad store which shall be entered in demolition register. 13. The contractor shall provide torch light / Emergency light to the tradesmen in night duty. He shall also provide the safety gear (uniform, shoe, belt, helmet etc.) to all the men deputed on duty and they will wear the same on duty. 14. Contractor shall ensure that life insurance certificate of each operator / electrician / mechnic / trades man / supervisor / helper against any mishappening shalll be produced before commencement of work to the Engineer-in-Charge. In case of any death of the operator, contractor shalll solely be responsible and any claim what-so-ever on this account shall not be admissible. 15. The operator shall carryout the following routine maintenance of transformer / Central AC plant / Refrigerator :- (a) Checking of winding temperature & oil temperature in case of unsatisfactory condition shut down the transformer and investigate if either is persistently higher than normal. (b) Checking of oil level and examine transformer for leaks (if it is low, top up with dry oil of required di-electric strenght, which shall be issued by sub division) (c) Checking of dehydrating breather

NOTE Contd.. (d) Checking and cleaning of bushing from dirt and oil. (e) Checking of oil dielectric strength and presence of water moisture (f) Checking & testing of earth resistance (g) Checking & testing of insulation resistance of windings (h) Checking of cable box (j) Checking & testing of bolts/ nuts and such other loose metallic parts. 16 Element of fixing charges for replacement of worn-out parts shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for Sl. items No. 1.00 to 3.00 here-in-before. 17. Day-to-day consumable stores required for running and routine maintenance of electrical fittings / fixtures, electric cable etc. except spare parts as mentioned in items of this Schedule, if any, shall be provided by the Deptt 'Free for fixing only'. 18. The contractor shall also provide uniform to the employee deputed on duty. 19. After attending compalints, the contractor shall attend the complaint during that shift itself and shall give completion report at complaint cell to JE / AGEs immediately.
