Note:- (a) Stability: Projected shelf life of chlorination chemical must be one year with minimum loss of chlorine. (b) Operational Considerations: Must be safe to use in terms of level of insoluble components. There must be no risks relating to encrustations in equipment and pipe lines, no sludge generation, no hard water scaling in supply water. The brand and make of calcium based granular chlorination chemical must be suitable for drinking water chlorination and is recommended for use.

Cleaning of underground water storage sump of capacity 50,000 gallons capacity having one compartment by following process as under :- (a) Dewatering the tank/sump with including all dirt dust and mud. (b) Desilting and removal of dirty water and sludge with wire brush inside wall and floor surfaces to remove impurities. (c) Cleaning of walls, ceiling and bottom of tank by high pressure water jet and bleaching powder. (d) Removing mud/impured material to a distance 10m away from sump.
