ANNUAL MAINTENANCE OF 220KV TRANSMISSION LINES UNDER ETD-II ALIGARH

Regular tower to tower ground patrolling & tower top patrolling (whenever required) of approximate 324 Km. of 220KV lines. Patrolling work consist of detection of the defects like missing / theft tower members, hot point, punctured/flashed over insulator disc, dislocation of vibration dampers/damged conductor/earthwire, checking of foundation/stubs, & position of trees in the corridor of 35 meter of the lines, removing of nests from the tower.

Opening/Cutting of Nut & Bolts of remaining cut pieces of tower members stolen by miscreants to be opened/cut safety with the help of gas cutter/ hacksaw blade including all required labour and T&P for proper completion of work satisfactory.

Fabrication & Fixing of tower parts/members from scrap GI angle including carriage of steel angles from the substation store, punching holes, proper tightening of Nut & Bolts, punching & chamfering of bolts at different locations of above transmission lines.

Tack welding of new Nut & Bolts.

Strengthening/Replacement of damaged jumpers at tension towers.

Tightening of jumpers at tension towers on both sides.

Replacement of damaged/punctured insulators (polymer/porcelain) of string by porcelain/ polymer insulator as per availability at different tower locations includings carriage of material from store to work site of the above lines.

Lopping, chopping of trees branches in the 35 meter corridor of following lines and stacking of above cuttings at proper place far from the lines

Repairing of damaged ACSR DEER/Zebra conductor by using repair sleeves after lower down the conductor from tower and re-erection of conductor after repairing the conductor.

Attending breakdown of broken Deer/ zebra conductor by binding & fixing Mid span compression joints including lowering down of conductor jointing of conductor using Mid span compression joint replacement of string (if needed) etc. and restring the same upto 1 Km.

Emergency patrolling for attending breakdown of above 220KV above noted lines.

Attending breakdown of earthwire/tightening of loose earthwire up to 01Km and also laying and erection of missing earthwire.
