M&L forPreparing the surface thoroughly by cleaning, washing and removing dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose particles.In existing old terraces with brickbat coba or screeds, damaged or hollow portions, sharp edges, etc. and demolishing/dismantling/taking down and removing existing finishes of any type over existing roof slab till the mother slab is exposed and washing down with clean water to remove all dirt etc. The slab should be recoated with slurry of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP and cement in 1:1 proportion. After drying, the surface cracks must be filled with Dr. Fixit. Crack-X or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP or polymer-modified mortar in case cracks are wider than 5 mm.Cracks less than 2 mm, should be cleaned free of dust with a vacuum cleaner. Apply Dr. Fixit Primeseal or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP in the crack and let it dry. Then pour Dr. Fixit Newcoat or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP into these cracks and waitfor it to dry.Bitumen based waterproofing treatments if existing, must be completely removed by mechanical scarification or by any other effective mechanical means and Dilute 2 parts of Dr. Fixit Primeseal or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP with 1 one part of water. This dilution shall cover 7 to 8 sq.mt. Allow it to dry for6 to 8 hrs.Apply the first coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP without any dilution at the rate of 2 sq mt per litre and allow it to dry before taking up the second and third coats, the rate of application being the same. and open woven glass fibre mesh of 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm must be sandwiched between the first and second coat. While the 1st coat is still wet, place the fibre mesh on it. After the coat dries, start applying the 2nd coat of Dr. Fixit Newcoat or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP .

This reinforcement with fibre mesh shall be extended up to the drip mould over the angle fillets. Drying time between coats will be 6 to 8 hrs. Allow the system to air cure for 7 days minimum. A total thickness of 1 to 1.2 mm must be achieved when Newcoat is dry. The thickness of coat shall be got verified in the presence of Engineer in charge and recorded building wise in abound register and submitted alongwith claims for payment. Note: All above treatment will be measured as one unit of square metre and paid accordingly.

M&L for Preparation of new wall Surface for treatment by thoroughly cleaning of dirt etc. by washing down. Priming saturated surface dry condition using Dr. Fixit Primeseal or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP diluted in 2:1 ratio with water (2parts Primeseal diluted with 1 part water) @ 8-10 sq mtr per litre for a single coat application to achieve about 20 – 25 microns DFT. Allow it to dry for 6-8 hrs. Apply one coats of Dr. Fixit Raincoat Waterproof Coating or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP without dilution by brush or roller for at the thickness of 120 – 130 microns all as specified and directed . Note: All above treatment will be measured as one unit of square metre and paid accordingly.

M&L for Preparation of Existing surfaces to remove all dirt, mildew and other contaminants. Treat areas affected by Algae, moss or fungal growth with biocide wash solution and pressure cleaning equipment with a minimum capability of 100-140 bar water pressure. All grease, oils and asphalt materials must be removed completely.. All surface cracks up to 5 mm width should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Crack-X or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP.Cracks more than 5 mm and all separation gaps should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP modifiedmortaror its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP. Priming using Dr. Fixit Primeseal or its techno commercial equivalent in BASF/FOSROC/CICO/MC-BAUCHMIE/STP diluted in 2:1 ratio with water (2parts Primeseal diluted with 1 part water) @ 8-10 sq mtr per litre for a single coat application to achieve about 20 – 25 microns DFT. (c) Applying 3rd course of APP (Atactic polypropylene) based polymeric membrane minimum weighing 3.6 kg/sqm and minimum 3 mm thick reinforced with polyster non wove fabric (wt not less than 150 gms/sqm) laid with 75 mm side overlap and 100 mm overlap by forced / torch application as per manufactures instructions. (d) Applying 4th course of a coat of bonding material with blown type bitumen of grade 85/25 heating to working temperature of 180 degree C and applied @ 1.2 kg/sqm over APP membrane, (e) Applying 5th course of a one coat of solar reflective aluminium paint @ 0.10 Litre/Sqm on roof surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
