Rate Contract for Civil repair works at Existing BTS Node B-sites planned for 4G upgradation under Phase IX.2 in OA KHANDWA, KHARGONE and JHABUA, BA INDORE (MP)

Amount

Checking, Maintenace and Repair of all Components of tower as per approved drawing in all respect and as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge as follows:

Checking the connection of tower members and tightening of loose nuts and bolts using torque wrench. Any spare hole shall be filled with bolts and nuts of appropriate size. (Supply of the new nut bolts, washers shall be paid under the relevent item seperately while the other consumables are to be arranged by the contractor at his cost).

Replacing the distorted, bent, corroded members and worn out bolts and nuts. (Supply of the new GI members, nut bolts, washers shall be paid under the relevent item seprataly while the other consumables are to be arranged by the contractor at his cost).

Providing and fixing the missing members, nuts, bolts and spring washers. (Supply of the new GI members, nut bolts, washers shall be paid under the relevent item seprataly while the other consumables are to be arranged by the contractor at his cost).

Maintenance of ladder and its safety rings, climbing facilities, platforms and its handrail catwalks and antenna fixing mounts

Checking the base plate against corrosion and tightening of the base plate fixtures with tower main leg including nuts and check nuts.

Maintenance of proper drainage in and around the foundation including removal of unwanted vegetation growths all complete as per the direction of Engineer- in-Charge

Check the verticality of tower using theodolite as per provision prescribed in IS 12843 1989. The tower alignment to be checked with theodelite on two perpendicular surface. This does not include re-erection if required to achieve verticality) (The required theodolite will be arrange by the contractor at site of work )

Checking the gantry and its ground supports (This does not include cost of concreting if necessary to improve the support)

Providing and applying rust removing solution and Zinc Spray on tower rusted area whereevr necessary as per manufracture recommendation. This will include other operations including cutting of unuseable nuts/ bolts where necessary.

Repair and maintenance of lightening arrester and aviation lamp including checking insulation of cable / position of GI flat / strip and bus bar fixtures and taking necessary corrective action for making the lightening arrester / aviation lamp functional. (Replacement of lightening arrester / Aviation Lamp cable / GI strip insulation if necessary shall be paid separately under relevant item. However, replacement of lightening arrestor / aviation lamp shall be done with the prior approval of the Engineer-in-charge.)aintenance of lightening arrester and aviation lamp including checking insulation of cable / position of GI flat / strip and bus bar fixtures and taking necessary corrective action for making the lightening arrester / aviation lamp functional. Reporting the earth value of the tower earth in Ohms

NOTE-I: Rate includes cost of all operations mentioned above at S. No. (1.01 to 1.11) including hire charges of tools, plants and machineries, Binaculars for inspection, insurance premium of labours etc. and nothing extra shalll be paid on this account.

(b) Roof Top Tower of 12 Mt Height

(c) Roof Top Tower of 18 Mt Height

(d) MARR Ground Based tower upto 21 metre height

(e) 40m High Tower of any Make, Shape and Weight.

(f) 80m High Tower of any Make, Shape and Weight.

(g) 100m High Tower of any Make, Shape and Weight.

Note - Rate of item of the tower of other heights shall be derived by interpolation or extrapolation of the rates of nearest heights

Providing and fixing UV stabilized LED based aviation obstruction twin lamp with polycorbonate dome of Saraj, Binoy, Aviads, Litten or equivalent with Light dependent resistance sensor (day and night automatic timer), low intensity 50Hz, operating on AC / DC supply on tower including supplying and installing rust / water proof hardware, weather proof glands.

Supplying and laying 3 x 1.5 Sq mm copper armoured UG cable including providing and termination as per requirement on existing cable tray.

Providing and fixing spike type lightening arrester at top of tower on the sufficent height over GI member with lighting rod made of copper, with 12mm dia and 600 mm length as per IS 613:(2000) with a spike on one end and threading on the other, shall be provided on the top at the lug with a hole provided at 0.50m below the top of the tower necessary fixtures at top of the tower as per detailed drawing. The spike shall be insulated from tower by Teflon material. The spike shall be connected to copper / G.I. plate earthing by insulated 70 sq mm multi-strand GI strip with proper lugging arrangement as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and laying 25 x 5 mm G.I. strip including providing from lightening arrestor and termination of same at as per requirement of site.

Supplying at the site of work Hot Dip Galvanised members for replacing the missing members (if any) of Tower, Working Platform, Safety Cage, Ladder, Wave Guide Rack, Antennea Fixture etc. of required section, shape and size including Drilling Holes for fixing bolts etc. all in conformity with the approved drawings of BSNL and as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge and shall be made out of primary source of structural steel of approved make: viz. SAIL, TISCO, RINL etc.

NOTES: (a) All material shall be Hot Dip Galvanised. The fabrication & galvanising shall be as per the relevant IS code. (b) Weight of each member supplied shall be taken for payment purpose. (c) The Rate includes the cost of all material and labour required for all the operations mentiond in the item including all carriage, taxes and other contingencies.

Supplying at the site of work Hot Dipped Galvanised Steel Plain Nuts, Check Nuts, Bolts, Plain & Spring Washers of grade 5.6 and as per IS: 12427 required size as per the structural drawing of the tower including threading the bolts for the required length all complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair to foundation, stem of column by providing necessary brickwork in cement mortar 1:6 [1 cement : 6 coarse sand] upto 0.50 cubic metre, cement concrete 1:1.5:3 [1 cement : 1.5 sand : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size aggregate] upto 0.50 cum or plastering work upto 2.00 sqm with cement mortar 1:4 [1 cement : 4 sand] etc all complete as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair to Containers including providing and fixing rubber / aluminium beading, tightening screws and sealing with silicon adhesive at damaged portion upto area of 1.00. sqm all complete as per direction of Engineerin-charge.

Providing and fixing ISI marked aluminium butt hinges anodised (anodic coating not less than grade AC 10 as per IS: 1868) transparent or dyed to required colour or shade with necessary screws etc. complete:

Attending repairs to wooden or Aluminium doors or windows by removing, carrying out necessary repairs and re-fixiong including using necessary screws, beading, nails and other accessories required for smooth functioning of door / window as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (Hinges will be paid for separately)

Repairs to steel doors / windows by welding necessary hinges including arranging welding machine at site and applying grease etc as directed.

Providing and fixing APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layer 2 mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with glass fibre matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrance manufacture of density at 25°C, 0.87 - 0.89 kg/ litre and viscocity 70 - 160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using Butane torch and sealing all joints etc., and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under : Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 350/300 N/ 5 cm.Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 60/80N.Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. Cold flexibility shall be upto -2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D - 5147. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacture of membrane.

2mm (for corrugated roof sheets)

Credit for galvanized steel section like angles, flats, bolts, nuts, spring washers etc removed from the tower due to corresion, cracked wrapped bent sillipary etc (The contractor shall be allowed to take the steel sections only after the completion of the work)
