MISCELLANEOUS REPAIRS TO WATER PROOFING TREATMENT, LEAKAGE, SEEPAGE FOR CERTAIN BLDGS AS PART OF DRY RESTORATION AND ECO-FRIENDLY ASSET MANAGEMENT (DREAM) IN THE AREA OF AGE B/R (C) UNDER GE DEOLALI

M&L for taking down carefully existing unserviceable bituminous felt (any number of layers) including plastered lime or cement concrete of any thickness up to the Mother slab and cleaning of the surface of roof trenches including flashing and junction parapets kerb walls PCC fillets benching etc with wire brushes and removing of the rubbish to a distance not exc 1.5 KM and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5 mtrs above the starting point complete all as specified.

M &L for providing 50 mm thick plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) Finishing cement concrete surface even and smooth using extra cement for filleting, benching, coving of chajjah top/junctions, padding concrete below roof treatment etc slightly rounded or chamfered on edges wherever required including necessary form work / moulds etc complete all as specified and as directed . Note: Water Proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately.

M&L Water proofing treatment to RCC roof slab and shall be carried out as specified below all as specified and directed :- (a) 10 mm thick screed bed in CM 1:3 on concrete surfaces of roof slab and parapets mixed with and including WPC @ 3% by weight of cement; finished even and smooth without using extra cement . (b) The roof surface shall be thoroughly wire brushed, cleaned to eliminate all sharp projection washed dried up and cleaned of all foreign matter and dust to receive primer. (c) Applying bituminous primer on cleaned surface @ 0.40 Lit/sqm. (d) Providing APP polymer modified approved membrane 3mm thick, non woven, polyster, weighing not less than 3.6 Kg/Sqm and laying on roof surface and parapets with laps, overlaps and sealing joints as specified and applied completely by torch application method, the overlap of membrane while torching shall be kept 100mm on length wise and 100 mm width wise (e) Carrying out test by flooding water for 24 hrs for leakages & seepages and rectifying the leakages / seepages / defects, if any, to the entire satisfaction of GE. (f) M&L Finally applying a coat of solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.15 liter/Sqm on the top of membrane surfaces complete all as specified & directed. (g) The treatment shall be carried out as per manufacturers instructions and through authorised applicator of manufacturer. Note:- The contractor shall furnish the following before and during progress of water proofing work:- (i) Quality confirmation from the manufacturer of the product alongwith quantity supplied. (ii) Manufacturer test certificate. (iii) The result, if tested in any of the independent laboratory or testing if ordered by GE and the testing charges shall be borne by the contractor.

M & L providing and applying the plaster with single component ready to use repair mortar (SMART CARE REPAIR MORTAR or equivalent) and applying 15 mm average thickness in single layer and finishing with trowel with a bond coat SBR polymer and modified cementious bond coat @ 2.2 kg /Sqm of surface area including taking down existing roof treatment of any type and also taking down cement plaster or PCC padding of any layer etc brick/concrete surfaces, including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc., to receive further treatment, complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Asian Paints or equivalent in Sikka, Fosroc and STP Ltd. Note : (i) The application shall be executed on any type of surface and on horizontal/Vertical area (ii) The work shall be executed through authorised applicator of manufacturer only. (iii) Authrised Applicator shall be approved by GE before starting of work. (iv) All materials shall be procured directly form manufacturer. (v) The purchase voucher shall be produced to the Engineer-in-Charge for verification of material.

M & L providing and applying Smartcare Dampproof Ultra, a fibre reinforced elastomeric liquid water proofing membrane formulated with reinforcing acrylic fibers having Sun Reflectivity Index (SRI) of 105 on horizontal/vertical surfaces of roof/wall/chajjas in multiple coats @ 2.0 litre/sqm to achieve a seamless waterproofing layer. Primary coat is self-priming coat of elastomeric waterproofing liquid (dilution with water in the ratio of 3:1, damp proof : water) and other coats to be applied undiluted. The coating needs to be reinforced with needle punched non woven Geotextile with minimum weight 50 GSM, to sandwiched between 2nd & 3rd coat of coating. The application shall be carried out after scrapping and properly cleaning the surface with mechanical grinder to remove loose particles dust vegetations etc complete with wire brushes and filling the depressions and cracks with crack seal and crack repair mortar and sealing around the spout pipes GI pipes any size in all respect as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Make: SmartCare Damp Proof ultra of Asian Paints or equivalent in Berger/ Nerolac/STP Ltd. Notes: (i) The work shall be executed through authorised applicator of manufacturer only. (ii) Authrised Applicator shall be approved by GE before starting of work (iii) All materials shall be procured directly form manufacturer/authorised dealer. (iv) The purchase voucher shall be produced to the Engineer-in-Charge for verification of material.

M & L Open the cracked joints in top form V shape groove with approx 25mm × 25mm size . Thereafter apply in-depth waterproofing as a slurry application smartcare repair polymer mix with cement (1:1). Seal the grooves with prepared in smartcare repair mortar ready mix (1:4) and polymer of 10% of weight of cement (if required). Grout the joints through PVC injection nozzles fixed @ 500 mm c/c, using cement slurry grout with CBX100 or equivalent added @ 250 gm per bag of cement to full saturation etc. Note : Quoted rates shall be deemed to include removing of old bitumen membrane upto the concrete level.

Providing and carrying out crack/joint treatment in RCC members/slabs including grinding and cleaning of surface from loose material, laitance, paint etc. by diamond/wire grinding mechanical machine and steel wire brush, drilling holes of suitable dia at required spacing and fixing non-return injection packers/special nozzles complete. Injecting two component polyurethane (PU) plain injection resin (2:1 ratio) and/or PU foam injection grout (10:1 ratio) using mechanically/electrically operated piston driven pump under pressure up to 100 bar or as required to arrest seepage/leakage and fill cracks/voids completely. Cleaning, flushing and removal of packers after completion. Filling and repairing drilled holes, damaged areas and surface grooves with epoxy repair mortar/pidipoxy putty complete. For construction and kicker joints, carrying out injection grouting by drilling GI threaded nozzles to suitable depth and pressure grouting with cement slurry admixed with approved non-shrink waterproof grouting admixture such as Pidicrete AM/Dr. Fixit or equivalent to full saturation, including all labour, material, equipment, T&P, electricity, water, scaffolding if required and complete in all respects as specified and directed.

M&L for special treatment to floor/wall sunken portion with demolition of PCC incl complete sunken portion and plaster of entire sunken area (bottom & sides ) including removal of demolished material out side of MoD land for special treatment to sunken portion with 10mm thick plaster in CM 1:4 by using Dichtament. DM 1% by weight of cemenf and surface made smooth after curing period two coat of Dichtament. DS shall be applied @2.50 Kg/Sqm. The paste like consistaney is made by using 2.5 Kg of Dichtament. DS powder in one litre of admixture (The admixture is made by dissolving 1 part by volume of Natufill SBR and 4 part by volume of water).Curing the treated surface for 3 days and conducting a ponding test for 72 hours to check watertighteness. Applying a protective 10 mm thick plaster in CM 1:4 incorporating waterproofing admixture Dichtament @ 1 % by weight of cement over the waterproofing layer of Dichtament DS. apply one another coat of SBR Admixture on harizontal and vertical surfaces before plastering. All joints of CI Pipe, Nahani trap, WC connection etc.shall be filled by mixture of cement, fine sand and 10 % Näfufill SBR by weight of cemenit, incl 32 mm dia 450 mm long GI Spout light grade shall be provided with required slope in all sunken slabs to drain off water, provide and laying brick bat coba treatment for sunken slab use class II bricks laid over cement mortar proportion of 1:4 with waterproofing compound and filling all voids completely incl PCC ( 1:5:10 ) 40 mm graded agg and provide top layer finish over brick bat coba with 22-25 mm CM (1:3) mixed with waterproofing compound and provide slope towards floor trap (recommanded slope 1 in 60 to 1 in 80) and curing for a minimum period of 07 Days complete all as specified and directed.(Floor area shall be measured).

M&L for prepration of surface by cleaning to remove loose particles, dust, latance etc, cutting grooves again remove loose particles, dust, latance etc properly, filling cracks/damaged portions/hollow areas/gaps of RCC and masonary upto 15mm to 20mm width and 10mm to 15mm deep by using polymer modified cement mortars and making good surface like existing painted surface with the help of cement mortar and paint, all as directed and as per manufacturers instructions. M&L for prepration of New/old decorated plastered or unplastered surfaces of walls/chajjas/roof by cleaning to remove loose particles, dust, latance etc., Filling of holes/Cracks with CNS filler material. Applying one priming coat of SMART CARE DAMP PROOF with thinner at the rate of 0.40 Ltr/Sqm (0.20Ltr Smart Damp Proof : 0.20Ltr Water). Applying second coat of SMART CARE DAMP PROOF after 05 to 06 Hrs at the rate of 0.40 Ltr/Sqm, and apply the third coat after 6 to 8 Hrs once the second coat is dry at the rate of 0.40 Ltr/Sqm all as directed and as per manufacturers instructions.
