SPECIAL REPAIRS (B/R) TO QTR NO P-40/2 AND P-40/4 OF OFFICERS RESIDENTIAL AREA AT LITTLE BINAGA NAVAL BASE AREA KARWAR

Dismantling of single layer Mangalore pattern roofing tiles, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F rolled mild steel roof trusses (framed), trussed, purlins, rails and fastenings, and heavy brackets framing (beam, tee, angle, channels or flat sections) including distance pieces, cleats, etc., conforming to Fe-290 (Grade E 165).

S&F pre-painted Galvalume aluminium-zinc coating GI based corrugated steel sheet, 0.50 mm thick, of any colour, having tensile strength of 550 MPa, as in roof covering/cladding/ridge to wall, fixed with self-tapping screws, all as specified and directed.

S&F plain galvanised mild steel sheeting, 0.63 mm thick, in ridges, hips, valley gutters, drips and straight flashings (length and girth as fixed) with zinc coating grade 275, complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling/taking out existing textile coverings including frames (if any) or hessian-based felt or any other existing waterproofing treatment from roof, including cement plaster and exposing the top surface of RCC slab, including removal of dismantled material, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying two coats of SmartCare Damp Proof by roller/brush over a coat of primer, with SmartCare Damp Proof diluted to 33% as per manufacturer’s specification, including preparation of existing surface by complete removal of existing treatment by chipping to remove loose particles and mortar, cleaning with wire brush and water, including filling and coving with SmartCare Repair Mortar (wherever required), filling cracks with SmartCare Crack Filler (wherever required), complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for surface preparation: Preparing the concrete surface by removing dust, dirt, laitance, etc., using mechanical means and treating minor defects with polymer modified mortar using SmartCare Repair Polymer (SBR) all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Providing and installing SmartCare TPO membrane (reinforced membrane), a high-performance, heat-weldable, scrim-reinforced thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) sheet, manufactured and supplied in thickness of 1.5 mm as per UNI EN 1849-2, designed for waterproofing and heat shielding of roofs of new and existing buildings.

Taking down cement plaster from wall surfaces of any description, including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing with water, etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rendering 10 mm thick in cement mortar (1:6) on fair faces of block masonry or concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.
