Collection of coal samples from received wagons such as M/s SCCL , M/s MCL and KIKP karaikal and transfer samples to sampling room, reduction of quantity by coning and quartering method as per IS 436 part-1 section -1 1964. Also, crushing/grinding and preparation of final samples at sample preparation room. Cleaning and disposal of waste coal and spillages round the clock.

Collection of Bunker coal samples from each Mill feeder/conveyor of running units, transfer samples to sampling room, reduction of quantity by coning and quartering method. Also, crushing/grinding and preparation of final samples at sample preparation room. Cleaning and disposal of waste coal and spillages round the clock.

Collection of bottom ash & fly ash once in two hours from the running units, reduction of quantity by coning and quartering, method. Also, crushing/grinding, drying and preparation of final samples at Fuel laboratory. Cleaning and disposal of waste round the clock.

Consumables such as cotton waste, dungry cloth, safety appliances like goggles, air respirators, gum boots, hand gloves etc., for Sl.No. 1 to 3
