REPAIR / MAINT OF LT UG CABLE, STREET LIGHTS/SECURITY LIGHTS, GARDEN LIGHTS, BLDG BEAUTIFICATION LIGHTS AND ALLIED WORKS AT SHESHARTHANG AREA UNDER GE 860 EWS

Excavation in trenches in hard / dense soil not exceeding 1.5 mtr in depth and not exceeding 1.5 mtr wide and getting out including trimming of sides, for laying of cables & foundation of poles, stay assembly complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Returning filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material to a distance not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking out old unserviceable/serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable covers from excavated trench all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Serviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover kept in safe custody for reuse at site and unserviceable un-reinforced concrete PCC cable cover through in low lying area.

Laying only old reinforced PCC cable cover of any size as retrieved from serial item No. 4.00 here-in before complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for factory made un-reinforced precast concrete cable protection cover LV class type - I with size 250mm x 150mm x 40mm laid across the cable (i.e. width of cover along the length of cable) for UG cable protection on the top of the sand cushioning, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for sand cushioning with layer of sand 8cm thick before laying of cable and 10cm after laying of cable in trenches complete all as directed and sand cover to UG cable, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- Only punned thickness of sand shall be measured and paid.

S&F in replacement of galvanized iron pipe of 50 mm nominal dia light grade fixed to poles with clamps nuts, bolts and washers or laid under road crossing or fixed to wall including painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint, complete all as specified and directed. Note : The cost of MS clamp, nut, bolt, washer and GI fittings etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Taking out old LT under ground cable from trenches / floor / road / wall / pipe / pole of any size and description incl joint, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply, laying, jointing and testing of LT UG cable XLPE insulated PVC sheathed galvanized steel strip armoured electric power cable with stranded aluminium conductor 1100 volts grade 185 sq mm 3.5 core confirming to IS:7098 (Part-I), suitable for earthed system, laid in duct/trench/along pole/wall etc including nuts, bolts, washers, saddles & screws etc and making connection, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : 1. The cost of Al thimbles/lugs and cable gland etc is included in quoted rate and no extra payment will be made for it. 2. Excavation, earth work, sand cushioning and brick protection will be measured and paid separately under respective items.

M&L for two run of 2.5 sqmm Aliminium conductor twin core cable for connection of the street light with junction box / Over head LT line complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L in replacement Pole box outdoor type of size 14cmX19cm made out of MS sheet of thickness not less than 1.6 mm having hinged front opening door with two Nos aluminium strip bus bar of capacity 63 amps fitted on resin based insulator and One No. MCB SPN 32 Amps rating and suitable size of clamps for mounting the junction box on Garden light post and painted with two coats of synthetic enamel aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.
