Amount

Scarifying or picking up gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm exceeding 50mm and not exc 100 mm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), granite trap or basalt, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient materials and camber required, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Premix bituminous macadam with 4% binder content (Paving Bitumen) laid or rolled and compacted to required gradient camber (consolidation thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed.

M&Lfor preparing surfaces of unsurfaced water bound macadam by wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc; and applying evenly priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed

M&L preparing surfaces of black top by wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc; and applying evenly priming/tack coat with hot bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 sqm using paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premixed semidense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scouring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing 2.5mm thick road marking strips (reflective) of specified shade/colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine, fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heaters and profile shoe, heater, driven by skilled operator on road surface including cost of materials labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc to applicable specifications incl scrubbing out old worn out markings etc, complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
