Repair and Replacement of steel screw gearing shutter of assorted sizes up to 2000mm width as per the following specification. The skin plate shall be made up of 8 mm M.S plate of best quality. The steel stiffener on the rear side shall be made of ISMC 100X50 mm, and the vertical stiffeners made up of ISMC 100X50 mm vertical and horizontal stiffeners should be provided at intervals not exceeding 600mm in either direction. A Lifting lug shall be provided with 2 MS plates of size 320x200mm 4 Nos of 18mm holes are drilled in the lug suitably to accommodate 5/8” MS bolts and nuts. The lifting lug shall be welded to the top of the shutter at the front and rear edge to maintain proper equilibrium while lifting. The welding shall be done as per standard procedures and the burr and slag shall be removed by grinding the top of weld. A good weld is as strong as the base metal. A suitable electrode shall be chosen and welded with good welding equipment and a trained welder. All non metallic of welding. After welding, a through visual inspection shall be done for porosity, blowholes, infused welds, unfilled craters, under cutting, burning & poor weld appearance, etc. Then all steel surfaces are cleaned of dirt, grease, oil, welding spatter, etc by abrasive blast cleaning and then a coat of anticorrosive zinc rich primer shall been given after the curing period of 12 hours a coat of coal tar epoxy shall been given over which another coat shall be applied at an interval of 24 hrs. Then the shutter shall be loaded, transported to the site, unloaded & erected as directed by the departmental officers. The cost includes cost of all materials, cost of consumables like welding rods, grinding wheel, oxygen & acetylene gas, diesel & oil for generator, process charges like gas cutting, welding, labour charges for dismantling, loading, lifting, unloading, transport, erection, hire charges for equipments like chain pulley block, welding machine, cutting set, grinding machine, power charges for generator, conveyance to site and clearing them after completion of work, including cost of trial operation. Warranty for Five Years etc. complete complying with Standard Specifications and as directed by the Departmental Engineers.
