ROADS

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with power roller exc 8 tonne and n exc 12 tonne complete all as specifed and as directed.

M&L Laying and compacting 200 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade II as specified Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination there of as per the grading required, the materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density, Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013.

M&L WBM 200 mm thick compacted thickness using granite trap or basalt in two layers each layer 75 mm thick compacted thickness with coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 mm to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 ( 50 to 20 mm size) spread rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specifed and as directed.

M&L preparing water bound macadam surface by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.3 kg/sqm on WBM surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MaRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface complete all as specifed and as directed.

M&L for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete using VG-30 bitumen 40 mm thick consolidated with 5.50% binder content by the weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material exc. 1.50 km but n exc. 5km and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) means over areas exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10sqm on plan including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m, complete all as specified and as directed.

STORM WATER DRAINS

Demolition of Brickwork or stone/boulder masonry, built in cement mortar or cement lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars etc., but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Concrete in ground floors and pavings n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling of existing Runway / Taxiway lighting system components as mentioned below complete all as speciified and as directed. [a] Cables of any type

SUB SURFACE DRAINS

M & L for back fill (Filter media) consists of crushed stone aggregate of size 20mm at top half of the drain depth and 40mm at bottom half of the drain depth satisfying the grade as per IRC specification for sub surface drainage complete all as specified and directed.

PAVEMENT

M&L for Laying and compacting for 150mm thick (compacted thickness ) WMM laid in two layers of 75 mm each Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80 -100 kN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013.

M & L for 40mm to 100 mm thick cold milling on existing runway flexible pavement surface using milling machine including disposing the waste materials to atleast for 20 KM distance including hire and running charges for the machine, conveyance charges, unloading at unobjectionable place, cleaning the milled surface as to avoid slippery including all other incidental and unforeseen items etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 10mm thick sand cushion with clean river sand duly clear of residual , organic and deleterious materials spread evenly to uniform thickness laid over DLC layer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Pavement quality concrete(PQC) of minimum 28 days field Flexural strength of 45Kg/ Sqcm or 4.5 Mpa, aggregate gradation as per Table 3 of IRC 15 2017, coarse aggregate of clean, hard strong, dense non-porous and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel, fine aggregates of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 360 kg/cum of cement with non-circular virgin synthetic fibre of 12-18 mm length, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable,alkali resistant, with equivalent dia 15-40 micron, minimum melting temperature as 240°C and minimum tensile strength of 300 Mpa and at the rate as specified by the manufacturer. PQC laid, spread and compacted with slip-form paver of minimum 7.50 m width , including curing and tining by Texturing cum Curing Machine complete all as specified and directed. Required surface texturing to be done as specified in Clause -10 1 14 and Tabl~ 9 of IRC' 15-2017 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Forming 25 mm width expansion joint in concrete slab for full depth of PQC, Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, Join cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil , vegetation and other debris, The join then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant, Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia, over filler board and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS- 5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of+/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacture complete as specified and directed.

M&L for Cutting of construction joints 25 mm deep and 10 mm wide by early entry saw cut using diamond bid cutter of appropriate size, straight and smooth edges, Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil , vegetation and other debris, Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. M&L for preparing surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc., and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Note: The cold rolling shall be rolled by using pneumatic tyre roller till the desired surface of DAC layer is achieved irrespective of number of passes and no extra payment is admissible on this account.

Forming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc. 30 cm thick, watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape etc., n exc. 1.5 m high from base complete all as specified. Note: (i) The moorum brought from outside MOD land and soil obtained from excavation vide relevant item shall be used. (ii) Power roller/earth compactor of capacity 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne shall be used for compaction. (iv) The embankment shall be finished to required gradient and camber. (v) To arrive finished quantity for payment purpose 5% deduction shall be made for bulkage from quantity computed. (vi) Forming embankment shall be as per MORTH specifications. (vii) A modified proctor density 98% at optimum moisture content for soaked CBR of 3.1% shall be achieved. (viii) Nothing extra shall be admissible on account of work executed as stated above and the contractor shall be deemed to have taken into consideration the above provisions before quoting his tender.

M & L for preparing bituminous surfaces of runway and applying two coats of Painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc., on roads, pavements and the like exc 10cm wide with water based road marking paint, white or golden yellow with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

LIGHTING

supply, installation, Design of CAT-III Airfield lighting system, laying & fixing of AFLS cables, laying of conduits for approx. 30.0 KM of nose wheel maneuvering alignment of Air Craft (for all maneuvenig area, taxi way, runway and including turning all as specified and directed by GE) including details design and drawing as per ICAO annexture 14 DGCA and all the below description and specification acceptable to Naval aviation authorities.
