Dismantling & taking out old unserviceable earthing pits including connected materials all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 M below normal ground level connected to galvanised earth lead wire of size 4.0mm dia up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting / testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 15mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C2 bed and chamber in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 including necessary form work, 10mm thick CI chamber cover with hinge, etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x3.15mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 M below normal ground level connected to copper strip of 20x3 mm up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting / testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 40mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C2 bed and chamber in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 including necessary form work, 10mm thick CI chamber cover with hinge, etc. complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note for item Nos 2 to 5 : (a) Earthing value should be less than 5 ohms for Ser item No 2 to 4 and less than 1 ohms for ser item No 5. (b) If desired value of earth resistance not achieved during testing, the earthing work shall be redone by the contractor at free of cost to achieve the desire value of earthing resistance. The rate quoted by the contractor deemed to be inclusive of the provision.

Supply and fix in repairs GI strip of size 25mmx4mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing using clamps & nut bolt as required complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No 6 here-in-before but 4mm dia galvanised iron wire.

Supply and fix in repairs aluminium strip 25 mm x 3 mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs copper strip 20mm x 3 mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No 9 here-in-before but Galvanised iron strip of size 32 x 6mm

Supply and fix in repairs single pointed air termination aluminium rod, 12 mm dia, 300 mm long and fixing upto 20 mtr height complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair porcelain strip holder on wall and roof of suitable size including removing broken u/s one complete all as specified and directed. Note for item Nos 6 to 12 : (a) Repairing/replacing/fixing work shall be carried out upto 20 mtr height on hangars/tech buildings/Over Head Water Tanks. (b) Necessary T&P such as Ladder/Crane and like as required for exection of work shall be borne by the contractor. (c) The rate quoted by the contractor deemed to be inclusive of all the above provision.

M&L for earth indicators made of 2 mm thick MS sheet of oval/Triangular/Rectangular shape of size 30 cm x 20 cm duly fixed over MS angle iron of size 25 x 25 x 3mm in size 0.9 metre in total length and 30 cm embedded in below ground level and 60 cm above ground level and angle iron embedded in cement concrete of 1:3:6 type C-2, of size 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm painting the steel surfaces with two coats of red paint for chemical earpits and yellow paint for Lightining Arrester( LA), Power Supply(PS) earth pits over coat of red oxide and writing the earth pit indication in alphabets with black colour of one inch height and marking all as per the direction of Engr -in-Charge and including necessary earth work and returning filling and removal etc all as specified and directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for providing earthing chambers madeup of PCC 1:2:4 type B1,(using 20mm graded stone aggregate) including necessary formwork over 75mm thick PCC bed, 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) with provision of 10mm thick CI chamber cover with hinge all as per electrical plate no.3 of SSR part-I including demolition of old unserviceable earthing chamber complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair earthing 10mm thick CI chamber cover with hinge suitable for existing earthing chambers at site including taking down old unserviceable chamber cover complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Test point terminal box made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwd including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw including removing the existing all as specified and directed.u/d test point terminalblock complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for recharging of normal earth pits by excavating the earth at a radius of 600mm from the centre from the earth pit and at a depth of 900mm after removing the earth chambers and accessories carefully and keeping aside for reuse including adding and spreading Charcoal 10 Kg and Salt 10 Kg in 75mm layers each at ground level and watering, refixing the earth chambers and accessories after allowing the soil to settle down complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in charge.

M&L for Testing of exisiting earthing resistance with suitable digital Earth tester and recording the readings obtained including making the earthing good by pouring the salt water complete up to the satisfaction of the Engr-in-Charge.

Note of item Ser No 18 & 19 : (a) Value of earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohms for equipments earthing and less than 5 ohms for LA & Power Supply earthings. (b) A register will be maintained for building/establishment/ section wise (for Equipment earthing, LA, Power etc) duly obtaining the sign of the user.
