REPAIR / MAINTENANCE TO CERTAIN ROADS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS AT HQTC BANGALORE

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinfoced) in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) Complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to atleast 25 mm in depth making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (VG-30) @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premix using paving bitumin of grade (VG 30) s specified for thin bituminous carpet (2 cm thick) well rammed and sealed with premixed sand seal coat (6.8 kg of binder with 0.06 cum of sand), again well rammed (including supply of premix binder and sand) depth of potholes not exc 30 mm. Complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour for premix bituminous macadam, mixed with binder content (paving bitumen VG-30) 4% by weight of total mix, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber(consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for preparing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen (VG-30) @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm of road surface using paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for Bituminious premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content of paving bitumen VG-30(by weight of total mix) using 6 to 8% waste plastic by weight of bitumen content (only plastic confirming to Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), High Density polyethylene (HDPE), PET and Polyurethene confirm to the size passing 2.36 mm sieve and retained on 600 micron sieve shall be used) and not be heated more than 180ºC while mixing. Waste plastic mixing should be done using dry process as per para 6.1 of IRC:SP:98-2013. The waste plastic will not be provided by the department and the contractor to refer IRC:SP:98-2013 before quoting the rates. The mix shall be laid with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to not exc 12 tonne power road roller and tandom vibratory roller complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) The mix shall be mixed in computerised hot mix plant and laid with mechanical paver only. (ii) The mix shall be designed by job mix formula. (iii) Cost of testing charges, materials and transportaion etc. for job mix formula and independent testing during execution of work shall be inclusive in the unit rate quoted and no extra payment shall be made on this account.

M&L for cleaning the road surface of dirt,seals oil,greese and foreign materials etc and applying 2.5mm thick marking strips,dashes,arrows (Retro refective) of white or yellow colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully semi automatic thermo plastic paints applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propan tank heater and profiles shoe heater driven by operator on existing/new road surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Glass beads shall not be less than 300gm/Sqm all as specified.

S & F in repairs of two way reflective road stud cat eye impact resistance ABS plastic body of dimension 100mm X 90mm reflective panel of amber, red/white/yeellow/blue/green colour with dry and wet reflectivity, fixed at site as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed. Make : 3M/ Dark Eye/ Sinor infrastructure or equivalent as approved by GE.

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves(thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for preparation of new or previously untreated wall / kerb stone smooth surfaces of any description, not otherwise described, over 10 cm width or girth and applyingtwo coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of pink primer complete all as specified and as directed.
