M&L for carrying out physical inspection and measurement of individual earth pit resistance of each earth pit, every month located in area and maintain the record of its reading month wise and submit to the office monthly for measuring the resistance of individual electrode of LV distribution system and other non-DG/ Transformer by fall of potential test in case fall of potential method is not possible at certain locations then measurement of earth pit resistance shall be carried out in stake less method using current and voltage clamps.(Total 630 Approx ) Nos earth pit located in different area of this station shall be measured in each month or all as directed. Pit for measurement of pit resistance including necessary excavation in any type of soil, or braking of hardstanding for inserting of spikes complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The rate also include to inspect and measure resistance of any type of earth( like conventional or chemical, strip or wire any size) complete. Note- Minimum 22 Earthings per working day and 100 % within a month to be cheked and testing will be carried out, testing equipment should be calibrated and certified from appropriate Govt Authority. Testing of earth resistance should be carried out in presense of the users and record should be furnished to the AGE E/M Office on daily basis, Failing which a recovery @ Rs 500 per eathing per day will be recovered as penalty.

Repair of old earthing for improvement of earth resistance by removing of old pit Chemeber from existing site , disconnecting all earth electrode of any type and size excavated the pit and removing old existing earth plate any type, cleaning the same and burried directly in ground with new bolts,nuts ,washer and check nut of galvanized steel,filling adequate quantity of charcol and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm 3ft x 3ft thick all around the electrode and including necessery excavation & earth work in any type of soil complete testing on completion all as directed. Note:- i) The material as salt, charcoal, Magnesium sulphate,GI Plate, wire mesh funnel will be measured and paid seprately.

Supply only Back fill compound (SGI Engineer or equvalent ) 1. The Backfill compound shall be conformed to IEEE 80 2000 14.5.B. 2. The Backfill compound shall be in 12.5Kg. bags. 3. The Backfill compound should have following properties: i. Ionic property to create ions for easy conduction. ii. The compound is enabling to disperse the ions equally in the earth pits. iii. The compound should expand so much to remove entrapped air (bad conductor of electricity) and to create strong Conduction between electrode and soil. iv. The compound should have a property to assist in absorbing humidity from the neighboring soil to keep the earth pit moisture, which in turn helps better conduction. v. The compound should have the property to ensure moisture is retained throughout the year irrespective of the weather condition without addition of water during the life of the earth pit. 4. The product should be tested and certified at Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Pollution control board. 5. The compound should be certified by a creditable/ govt. organization. 6. The compound should be similar to Earthcon/ equivalent.

M&Labour for taking out the top cover of the earth pit cleaning properly earth pit inside and out side and filling Salty water in the earth pit.Note:- the rate for necessary T&P , water bouser, pipe etc will be included in the quoted rates.

Supply & fix earth continuty conductor or main earthing lead of 4 mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire. (roof conductor or down conductor ) above ground level fixed to wall/ roof duly insulated on batten or fixed on new porcelain insulators with clamping device or recessed or chases or burried in groung/ floor or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required all as directed by Engg. in charge. Note :- i) the distance between porcelain insulator will not be included with cost of T & P and labour required to work on roof top at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 mtrs.

All as per item no-9 but 25 x 4 mm galvanised iron strip.

All as per item no-9 but 32 x 6 mm galvanised iron strip.

All as per item no-9 but 32 x 6 mm copper strip.

Taking down existing Copper strip/GI strip any size with its accessories and refixing the same complete all as directed.

Dismantling and taking down dislocated/de-shaped/loose earth contunity conductor down or roof conductor in any position for re-fixing properly or for replacement complete including UNSV insulators/clamps/ saddles ets Aluminum strip of any size. Note :- The quoted rates shall be deemed to be included with cost of T&P and labour required to work on bldgs roof top Hanger roof/ wall hanger wall up to 30 mtr height and at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 Mtrs.

Supply & Fix 25 x 3 mm aluminium strip ( Roof conductor or down conductor) above ground level fixed to wall/ roof duly insulated fixed on and including new porcelain insulators with clamping device or recessed or chases or burried in ground/ floor or drawn in conduit / pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation or for loop earthing etc. Note :- i) The consecutive distance between porcelain insulator will not be more than 40 cm. ii) The quoted rates shall be deemed to be included with cost of T&P and labour required to work on bldgs roof top Hanger roof/ wall hanger wall up to 30 mtr height and at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 Mtrs.

Re-fixing the taken down aluminium strip on roof top/on wall/lateral faces fixed on new porcelain insulator including new GI bolt, nut, washer provide at a distance not more than 40 Cm consecutively. Note :- i) The quoted rates shall be deemed to be included with cost of T&P and labour required to work on roof top at lateral faces of existing hangers upto height of 25 Mtrs. i) The consecutive distance between porcelain insulator will not be more than 40 iii) The cost of porcelain insulators will be paid under relivant item here in under but cost of GI bolt nut, washer etc is deemed to be included under quoted rates.

Supply and fix HDPE non pressure 50 mm dia pipe, smooth wall, non metallic flexible, suitable for underground use, pressure rating not less than PN 2.5, minimum wall thickness 2.5mm for protection of GI strip/conductor passing through the wall and from test point upto plinth protection complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-In-Charge.

M&L for GI tubing medium grade with all fitting laid in trenches or fixed to wall or ceiling with clamps or fixed to floor complete all as specied and directed of size 15 mm bore.Make : Swastik/Prakash Surya/Apollo.

M&L for GI tubing light grade with all fitting laid in trenches or fixed to wall or ceiling with clamps or fixed to floor complete all as specied and directed of size 40 mm bore.Make : Tata/Jindal/Prakash Surya/Apollo.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 mtr wide and not exceeding 1.50 meter in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil all as directed.

Returning filling in trenches including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm all as directed.

Removing of surplus soil not exceeding 50 meter and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.50 mtr above the starting point all as directed.

M&L for Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long, includind dismantling and taking out old unservicable termination complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L in repairs for PCC block on roof top comprising 1:3:6 of required size at places where directed & laying,clamping the strip any size secured on the block with suitable size GI bolt duly grouted, nut bolt washer etc.

M&L for test point terminal block insulated from wall or external surface made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hex head screws complete fixed on ebonite sheet 6mm thick fitted on MS flat 50x5mm bent to shape etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for brazing of existing copper earthing including all brazing materials as required at site complete all as specified and as directed.( Note :- The rate of T&P , Gas cylinder , weilding machine etc are included in the quoted rates quoted by the contractor

M&L in repairs to earthing pit chamber including replacement of PCC chamber, cement concret pit with cast iron miled steel frame embedded in the massonery enclouser finished flushed & PCC cover 10 mm thick (300mmx300mm having locking arrengment hinged to PCC frame, complete all as directed.

Supply only PVC insulator for GI/Aluminium strip supporter adequate to accomadate strip of 32 mm with fasteners complete all as specified and directed.

S&F stop valve, cast MS alloy, screwed down, high pressure, with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed both ends for fixing with 15 mm iron pipe or for union complete all as specified and directed.

The Ground enhancing compound should have following properties: i. Ionic property to create ions for easy conduction. ii. The compound is enabling to disperse the ions equally in the earth pits. iii. The compound should expand so much to remove entrapped air (bad conductor of electricity) and to create strong Conduction between electrode and soil. iv. The compound should diffuse in the soil to create conductive silicate. The silicate should expand into the soil with edge of the earth pits and result in progressive reduction of earth pit resistance. v. The compound should have a property to assist in absorbing humidity from the neighboring soil to keep the earth pit moisture, which in turn helps better conduction. vi. The compound should have the property to ensure moisture is retained throughout the year irrespective of the weather condition without addition of water during the life of the earth pit. 4. The product should be tested and certified at Central Power Research Institute CPRI for long term stability of earth pits. Measurement visa-vis conventional salt/ charcoal earth pits. The testing has to be carried out for minimum duration of two years continuously. 5. The compound should be certified by a creditable/ govt. organization. 6. The compound should be similar to Terec+/ equivalent.

B. Backfill compound 1. The Backfill compound shall be conformed to IEEE 80 2000 14.5.B. 2. The Backfill compound shall be in 12.5Kg. bags. 3. The compound should have a property to assist in absorbing humidity from the neighboring soil to keep the earth pit moisture, which in turn helps better conduction. v. The compound should have the property to ensure moisture is retained throughout the year irrespective of the weather condition without addition of water during the life of the earth pit. 4. Note:- i) Filling the pit with black cottan soil brought at site. ii) The excavated soil will be removed & paid separtely.

All as per Ser Item No. 37 above but by using with copper earth plate electrode of size 60cm x 60 cm x 3.0 mm thick and copper strip 32 x 6 mm as earth continuity conductor complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. i). The unit rates in this item is deemed to be included the cost of excavation for earth pit, laying of GI / Copper strip in trench upto 7.5 mtr along with GI Pipe for protection and necessary earth work in any type of soil, PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 as in pit and pre- cast PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 with necessary reinforcement as in cover & frame for pit, funnel, watering pipe 20 mm bore GI pipe light grade , 40 mm bore GI pipe for earth strip protection and GI/ copper / aluminium earth strip/ wire of any size & shape mm upto 7.50 mtr in length also including required quantity of salt & charcoal. ii) The continuous earth continuity conductor of any type, shape and shape shall be provided by the contractor, no joints wil be provided except test point or as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. iii) The earth conductor run vertically on wall in open way or or in GI Pipe,the contractor will provide necessary and proper saddling & properly fixed on wall /ceiling on his own expenses and making good without extra cost to the department. iv) Where, the earth continuous conductor run through ground, it should be lay in trench at required depth in GI Pipe, all as specified and directed. v) GI Pipe for protection of earth continuity conductor, earth strip/ wire and excavation if any beyond the 7.5 mtr will be measured and paid separately under the relevant items of this schedule. Note- Earth filling in the pit will be done with black cotton soil , brought from out side the defence land . In case earth resistance not found satisfactorily contractor will redo the same earthing at his own expenses . Earth resistance value should be less than 7.0 Ohms upto liability period of one year.
