Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m indepth in soft/loose soil including forming sides and bottom surface to required levels/slops/gradients etc. complete nexc 10 sqm on plan and n exc1.5 m in depth and getting out etc. complete all as specified and directed at site. Note: The disturbed surfaces of roads/paths/plinth/roof slab area shall be made good to match with the existing surfaces and is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted.

Returning, filling in, excavated soil including leveling, watering and well ramming in layers of thickness not exceeding 25 cm in each layer complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing the soil where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting and taking up or down old existing steel tubing and connections of any description/ grade and in any position in trenches/under floors / on walls etc including connected fittings/accessories and fixtures like union,valves etc. seggregation serviceable pipes and fittings, keep them safe custody for reuse and unserviceable material be removed from site of work all as directed and specified for the following sizes :-

Relaying, jointing & testing old serviceable steel water tubing and connections of any description / any grade and in any position obtained in serviceable condition from taking down, in new or old position as in trenches using new fittings i.e. bends/ Tee/ sockets/ union / reducers/ elbow etc. including cutting / making new threads at the ends of old pipes for the following size all as specified and directed. :- (NOTE:-Serviceble pipes and fittings shall be obtained from srl item no. 4 here-in-before shall be used.)

Disconnecting & taking up/down existing, cast iron pipe lines / water mains of any description / grade and in position including fittings, accessories and fixtures etc existing in between pipe line, by taking out and opening any type of joints (Tyton /Gasket / Lead joints) complete all as specified and directed for following bore of pipes:- Notes:- (i) Earthwork, returning filling and removal shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. (ii) While taking out of water mains existing lead shall be recovered by burning out joints carefully from the existing joint of water mains and shall be the contractor's property under schedule of credit. (iii) Old CI pipe / fittings retrieved in serviceable condition from taking down shall be reused in the work as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note:- (i) Weight of clamps including nuts, bolts and washer shall be measured for payment purpose. (ii) Clamp shall be tightened with using suitable rubber washers. (iii) Clamp shall be applied two coats of black bituminous paints over a coat of red oxide primer after preparation of surface.
